Microsoft Flight Simulator (2020/2024)

Although I have selected Ultra Performance with Nvidia DLSS in Ultra settings, it changes back to TAA and High End next time I boot FS2020. Several times and the same results. Has anyone else experienced this ?

Hi, so through various comments here in Avsim, I believe some people mentioned that MSFS will have the most advanced default G1000 for a flight simulator, once SU 10 is released This is because the G1000 NXi will become the default G1000 in SU 10. I think this is a huge accomplishment for MSFS.A lot of people criticizing MSFS claim MSFS is not as good for IFR flights compared to the competing simulators, but if the default G1000 for MSFS is the best default G1000 among all the simulators, I would think MSFS is suited very well for IFR flights with GA planes that use the default G1000. Applications as FSUIPC, FSRealistic, Fenix Does not auto start and is very annoying. FSUIPC and FSRealistc supposed to start during the loading of the sim but they don’t Any solutions please?

How does one choose between FSXX, DLAA and TAA anti-aliasing? What are the key tradeoffs or pros and cons? I see that if you set the Render Scaling above 100% ( which I do at 130%), it says that will super sample (SSAA) the rendering. So in that case is the anti-aliasing setting (FSXX, DLAA, or TAA) not used? Thanks, Al

I know this is not the VR forum but I am just wondering if anyone else is having the problem today of immediate crash of the app when trying to switch to VR? I loaded the new nvidia driver. As far as I know that's the only change as I was already on the SU10 Beta.

After the udate my sensitivity settings for my TCA airbus edition have changed. I have managed to correctly adjust for the FBW A32N but having troubles getting the correct settings for the GA aircraft eg Cessna 172. having problems with the Cessna veering sharply to the left or right on takeoff no matter what changes I make to the sensitivity Currently using X & Y settings of -20 -20 0, 0, reactivity 75 If anyone can assist me with settings they find work ok for GA aircraft it would be appreciated.

Just finished a two hour test flight. Couple of stutters along the way but no CTD and one "No Internet Connection", then less than a minute, "Connected successfully". These don't bother me but my two hour flight doesn't show up in the logbook. My total flight hours didn't increase either. Roy

I cannot adjust the yoke, pedals or trim wheel. They no longer appear in the controls screen.

The stutters I was getting with the Vancouver Island addon mesh have vanished.. this got wrecked with SU7 but it would appear, has now been fixed! 🙂

Downloading painless......updates added through content manager. All seems to be working smoothly, FPS around 40-50. Weather does seem better. Keep up the good work MSFS!

Could we add this to Tips & Tricks please? It comes up so often, yet many have solved their problems with this procedure. Step 1 - Restart PC. Sometimes that is enough for things to work. Step 2 - Check MS Store to make sure Gaming Services and Xbox app are up to date. Step 3 - Start>Settings>Apps & Features>Microsoft Flight Simulator>Advanced Options>Repair [That is the process for Win11. Hi All, For the life of me I cannot find the name of the mapping for the altitude intervene button. I have looked all over the internet and found little. I was wanting to take this to the PMDG forum but I, like many others, seem to be locked out for no reason. Anyway, does anyone know the name of the mapping in MS2020? Thanks for any help!

Hi, I have seen many videos of MSFS where the Jetways have a alarm sound when when moving? Even with GSX they have the sound. But mine do not have any sounds. Anyone know how they are getting jetway sounds?

I posted in the FSDT forum a while back and have had no response..... Can someone confirm that the ILS frequencies work in the FSDT KSDF Louisville scenery? I've tuned 110.55 (ILS35R) and it is identified correctly on the GTN, however none of needles function. Same for the other runways. The default scenery works fine. Thanks, Rich

I saw this interesting post in Reddit on the latest IVAO statistics from September 18, 2022: Compare the IVAO statistics from 2021: And compare that to 2020: As I don't have an IVAO account, I cannot verify this data. So the source is from that Reddit thread. But if this data is accurate, then MSFS is now the dominant simulator used in IVAO. I would guess VATSIM would probably show similar data (although I don't think VATSIM is making that data public).

Since the release of SU10 is imminent, I'd like to ask how to go safely from beta to the offical SU10. This is the first time I've been in a beta and I have read that this has been problematic in earlier transfers. Do I have to take any precautions to avoid a complete reinstall?
