Microsoft Flight Simulator (2020/2024)

Hi, i always used Freesync (since i have such a monitor) and limited the FPS to 60 ingame and in the driver. Perfect Now after installing Sim Update 10 (no, i did not update the drivers since) they changed it and now i can no longer set the Max FPS to 60 ingame but only to 100% Max Refresh Rate or 50% or 33%. Now, now matter what i do (Vsync On/Off, Max FPS, max refresh rate, HDR on/off)...does not matter if the setting is in the driver or ingame....my screen always flickers (more or less) when in MSFS, during loading screens, in the menu and ingame. If i deactivate Freesync it stops with the flickering. But this was never an issue before…

Isn't the new WT G3000 supposed to capture the Vpath for Rnav approaches? If so, I can't figure out how to get it to follow Vpath. Can someone enlighten me.

Is it a function of the new lighting model in SU10 (or maybe that "eye adaptation" now works differently), but nearly all my cockpits are now ridiculously dark. Some are almost impossible to operate - even at mid-day in clear skies. Is there a workaround or fix for this? I can bump up the shadows with Reshade, but that will also affect the scenery (which is fine).

Hi everyone, I'm new to the forum and new to MSFS 2020. This is a project I am doing with the kids (11 year old twins). Given how comprehensive and realistic MSFS is, it is surprising how approachable it is to just learn to fly, once you get a joystick and cheat sheet so you remember where all the main controls are. My question is whether anyone has seen a cheat sheet for how to fly a long-haul flight and actually get where you are going 🤣... without going through an entire 5-year pilot training program I mean. Hello, It's been 2 flights that I receive an error message on approach (FL100) I have absolutely nothing touched the parameters except that I activated the HT (I7 10700K). DX11 driver 516.94. Message: Expectation Breakpoint A breakpoint has been reached. (0x0000003) occurred in the application at location 0x00007FF7A4250682 Do you know where this message can come from that I never got before?

They seem to twich all the time. Not like before when they were majestically waving in the wind. Is this the new turbulence modelling?

Metar at local airport: 220152Z 14006KT 10SM CLR 28/12 A3000 MSFS2020 SU10 interpolating this for up to 15kt gusts from 140. Yay! I love flying in an alternate universe where the weather is this world has no bearing in the MSFS2020 tangent reality we sim in. I'm guessing it will always be gusting at the surface now whenever you fly?

If you do a fresh re-install do you have to re-download the world updates 1 through to 10? Or are they all included in the re-download of the MFSF program?

Does anyone else sim instantly CTD when they pop out ANY windows in DX12 mode?

Just did the entire SU10 update - not that there was any choice. Now msfs after the flight aircraft, origin etc has been selection and then go fly is selected does a shutdown. It was fine before the update.

Anyone seeing cars crossing runway since update 10? All airports I have operated from with roads underneath the runway now have cars on top of the runway instead of underneath on the roads. LPMA Madeira and EGCC Manchester. Anyone seeing the same with other airports? Only since update 10

Hi: Sorry I have to ask because I know there may be a large debate, but should I enable or disable HT on my i7-7700K w/ SU10 and this DX12 stuff? I don't understand a lot of this stuff that's why I have to ask. Appreciate the help!

Something seems amiss with SU10 and vsync in MSFS general settings. I'm stuck at 30 fps no matter how low I set my settings. SU9, I got 40-60 fps smooth at 4K @ 60hz refresh. I'm using the new studio driver. How do you delete the shader cache again? Maybe I should try that.

I have a Logitech Yoke system and pedals, and the default profile has assignments but it's hard to tell some of them without referring and querying the controls GUI. Is there a way to print out controller button/axis assignments?

If anyone likes the way some of the Carenado's fly, but does not like the color of several of the cockpits (or just wanted a refresh), don't forget to check at Flightsim.TO for some great cockpit mods for several Carenados. Look ma, no runway required. at 63 knots head wind your C172 becomes a VTOL with its rotation speed of only 55 knots. 😊

Has anyone gotten the replay function to work in SU10? I can select it to On in Options but have no idea how to invoke it. There's no keyboard commands for replay. Thanks. Jack

I've setup 3 screens using the new multi-monitor settings. But as it need to be in "Windowed" mode the title bar is shown. But in some Youtube videos it's hidden. How do I do it?

Hi I sent in a ticket to fenix about 5 days ago but haven’t heard anything back, figured I’d ask here. I haven’t been able to start the engines from either cold and dark or APU on state. When changing from engines running to cold and dark or APU running the aircraft will shut down but as soon as the ecam is on N1 indicated 4.1% and EGT is about 280. No fault light for with packs is on. After starting APU and opening APU bleed when engine ignition and fuel are turned on nothing happens. When bringing up the bleed page on the ecam it appears the engine bleeds never open. I have tried everything I can think of to get them to open but they won’t. I’ve tried uninstalling an…

I saw this today in Content Manager, and it is around 4.5 GB. Has anyone installed this, and does it add alot?

I note that all of the screens in the Longitude are greyed out in SU10 (DX12). But, one time that I tried it, they were OK. Has anyone else had this issue? PS I just remember that I have the FDE fix for this plane. That seems to be the issue.

I use the beta 10 and did not have this problem but now with the release of 10 after pushback of the p.m. DG 737 800 it will not disconnect the tug?
