I have been playing msfs 2020 since its launch. On and off, there are issues with sim updates, I have either reinstalled or followed steps suggested in the forums or youtube or by asobo team. After I downloaded and installed sim update X through store and started the sim, it progressed to update screen and when i tried to download as suggested, msfs 2020 crashed to desktop. Thereafter, i tried many a time, but failed and CTD was the result. Again, I unistalled and reinstalled through store, sim progressed smoothly till update screen and there was an update of 125 gb size downloads suggested. Hello all! Here are my findings with unlimited FPS to test. Seems like DX11 is better for me. Also using TAA with a LOD of 150. With that I can almost be stutter free. I have noticed some issues with strange squares appearing in the sea around Brighton Pier in the UK. I decided to disable all my addons and the corrupt / black squares were still present. The last open was to disable photogrammetry in MSFS and then the squares disappeared and the sea was restored. So from my analysis it would appear that the default photogrammetry has some issues in this area, although it would be good if anyone could confirm that they have the same issue?

Forward - I did my best to Google and research.. Nothing I don't always stay in the loop on the in and outs of this sim on the technical side but as an adopter of this sim since release; every time I load the sim I ask "where did all the traffic go? Early releases of MSFS the real time traffic was massive as far as quantity. The VFR map heavily populated. It wasn't exactly in real time, but close enough and the air traffic was all over the place. Now a days. Any time I see any actual air traffic I get excited to see one lone aircraft flying around the northeast U.S. What happened? Before this SU10 update I was almost always GPU limited according to the developer both in VR and 2D (2K). Then after the SU10 update and latest NVIDIA driver I tried DLSS in VR. Then fps dropped from 30 to single digit values with the default performance setting. I changed that to highest performance setting and fps got back but things were not better. And now I am almost always main thread limited. Then I switched back to TAA. Then after that I am still reported as main thread limited. And when exit VR I get more GPU limited. Specifically, I have some items in Content Manager that indicate they are not installed. Some, like the European updates, I haven't installed because I don't fly there. But others, like the PMS GTN750 are listed but won't give me the option to install them. Any idea why?

Nanovg-modus under experimentell in the settings ? This always opens now when i pop up my displays and move the display window to my second monitor. If i set this to off and the windows are open on the other monitor the sim crashes..wasen`t before.. cheers 😉

Been out of the sim for a few months and was going to start flying and have noticed some oddness with the weather panel since SU10. First, "Clear" preset is not actually clear. There's some very thin high level clouds that seem to be part of the preset now. Slightly annoying since if I go to use REX, you're supposed to start with clear weather. The other problem is clicking on a cloud layer on the left, then clicking the "X" on the right next to "Cloud Layer" should delete the layer but it doesn't. The only way to get rid of a layer is just set coverage to 0%. The layer is still there just with no coverage.

Has anyone noticed popping sounds with MSFS on the latest Nvidia drivers? I know that when installing drivers it also installs some sound drivers too. Never had this popping sound with the drivers prior to this new build. Thanks

Hi all, how do you set a VS in the auto pilot while on the ground? I want to be able to flick the auto pilot on after takeoff and not have to then adjust the VS. The only thing I am able to change on the ground is the altitude. The VS up/down button doesn’t work until the auto pilot is switched on. thanks Tom

Hi, i just flew in northern Germany (no mountains), Cessna Caravan (Asobo, no mods). During cruise flight (AP on, 8000 feet, cloudy but no storms) there suddenly was a slightly violent turbulence, AP corrected and stabilized the aircraft but i was shocked when I looked at my altitude...I was at 8300 feet and the AP was now sinking to get back to 8000 again. Never had something before in MSFS. If i would have been near a violent storm or the mountains i would say it might be a violent updraft, but under these conditions? Maybe the new wind gust system? But why did i gain 300 feet in a few seconds? A bug or realistic?

I just updated MSFS after being away for a little bit and noticed Runway 5/23 at KBUF (Buffalo-Niagara) is no longer normal, but has a huge skateboard ramp in the middle. Does anyone else see this behavior?

No I'm not talking about you 😀 ASOBO gave us a choice of a few different pilots and instructors but most (probably all) of them are ugly mutts. Has anyone found or created a mod to replace them with more pleasant looking human beings? A pretty young blonde passenger would be a nice addition (or a gorgeous hunk if you are a female simmer - just in case anyone thinks I'm sexist).

Hello folks, I was about to purchase the Milviz PC6 in anticipation of "stage 2" that's suppose to be released at some point. I did notice that the minimum requirements require a 8GB video card?? Is this a typo? 8GB seems excessive for a minimum requirement on an airplane of this complexity, I mean PMDG's DC6 requires 2gb minimum video card. Just curious if anyone is using this aircraft with less than 8GB on the video card?

I have updates to install, but when i go to content manager i don't see any updates.

It appears my sim can no longer access its nav data. When I go to the flightplan screen, and open Filters, checking 'NAVAIDS' and 'Fix and RNAV Position Report', nothing appears. Similarly, no IFR flight plan can be created and no approaches can be selected. Does anyone know how to recover this lost data?

I have been simming since the mid 90's and seems in every topic frame count is mentioned which kind of really turns me off. This is not a one shooter game, or racing game, and so on. I always thought with flight simming the key is smoothness thus, experiencing a nice beautiful flight which Microsoft flight 2020 offers to the audience.
