Hey guys, so it’s been almost a year and I’m getting back into msfs . Can you please advise what are the addons needed for msfs right now? Free or not. i have orbx airports yssy ybbn and city pack as I fly in aus. And payware aircraft also pushback mod free. AIG traffic Navigraph subscription what else?? thanks mike

Just curious i have had sofly clouds installed in MSFS , pretty much since it was released. Are the stock clouds better? If not can someone recommend the best clouds ?

I was surprised to find that the Carenado V-35 performs rather well in the current MSFS live weather conditions. I tried the default Cessna 172 which "drove" off the runway into a hedge (despite full opposite rudder and into wing aileron). The modded DA40 suffered the same fate. The Carenado dealt with it pretty well which I found surprising seeing as they're not exactly known for their "flight dynamics". This may be a combination of a new aircraft using the latest MSFS SDK and/or Microsoft winding back the ground friction effects on runways. Had to revert back to the last amazing version of Fenix's A320. Here's what I found is off based on the amazing effort that started out (would love to hear others observations): 1. First out the gate is the sound set. The first version was great with a few areas than needed addressing (for me hydraulic and the speed brake sound). Fast forward to the new version's cockpit engine and wind sounds, they remind me of the old 2D panel days where sound guys designed sets where it sounded like you were sitting right on top of the engines. So with tthe Longitude on the premium edition it looks like the autopilot is completely useless. I set a flight plan. I switch the nav source to FMS. I set an altitude on the MCP of, say, 14000. I'm at 2500. I engage the AP, then either set a VS or hit FLC. It appears to do nothing at all, except oscillate up and down all over the place. It also isn't tracking the LNAV either. VNAV doesn't change anything. Is there a switch somewhere like on the TBM that I have to flip to enable the autopilot to access the servos? If so, I can't seem to find the thing. Surely Asobo didn't release a plane in their "premium" version that is still this broken after two years.

For some reason, when I go to the flight planning page of the sim, and after I've selected a departure and destination, I can no longer select "Low altitude airways" or approaches. In the latter case, it just comes up "automatic", instead of listing the approaches for a given airport. And when I am inside the aircraft, the GPS indicates no approaches are available for the destination.

For some reason, I'm seeing the tool bar at the bottom of my screen overlapping the sim. Is there a shortcut to get the sim to occupy the entire screen of the monitor?

Purchased the Freedom KitFox from Marketplace. Displays were working and now they are blacked out. Removed the Kit Fox and reloaded it hoping that would solve the issue but it didn't. Anyone else have this problem? Or how I can fix this issue. Thank You Walt

I have color corrected a large part of Northern Utah including about a 100 mile radius around SLC. It also fixes the Brigham Airport area. About 10 airports are included right now, but I am expanding it to the entire NE of the state eventually. When I started up the sim about 45 minutes ago it prompted me to take a survey on msfs. I did and I am very happy with the sim.

Have tried both of the above settings in DX11 and DX12 (with the new Nvidia studio driver) and have hardly noticed any difference in FPS or smoothness. TAA looks better for picture quality though. What have your experiences been? Early days of SU10 testing for me but have not encountered any problems so far other than performance seems little (if any) better than before so far.

I never really tried the G58, but with all the twins out now, I wonder if this mod makes the G58 usable or comparable? It sure looks like a twin engine G36 after I tried it tonight. Anyone else having this problem? After max. 10 minutes of running MSFS crashes every-single-time. "The request 0x000031856something points to 0xFFFFFFFFFF. The process read could not be executed. Click OK to end program." So i guess i have to wait until SU11 now to be able to fly again? Good thing Asobo works so hard in helping me reduce my power bill....

New option in graphics for AMD Fidelity FX Sharpening? But I have an NVIDIA Graphics card??? I've googled but nothing conclusive about what this actually does and impact on frames? Also confused why I see this when I have an NVIDIA card (stupid question?) Thanks

Does anyone recognize this strange graphics effect? This is Vancouver with either the Google downtown addon or the Flight Centre addon.. Removing these addons fixes the conflict... but what is it?

Hi, After SU9 and now continuing with SU10, when running this challenge, the Garmin Screens are blank. However, if I launch the CJ4 in any other scenario, the screens appear normal without any problem. Anyone else encountered this problem? Thanks, Mario

Prior to SU 10; CTD was a once every couple months (70 - 90 flight hours) event. With SU 10 all of my DX12 flights end in a CTD and many of my DX11 flights also CTD. No overclock - no mods of any kind. ALL of the discussion below pertains to identical flights KSAN/Rwy 27 to Gatto to MZB to Ugoya and landing at KSDM/Rwy 8. Even in Safe Mode with an empty Community folder (I know that is redundant) I get a CTD about 25% of the time. Usually it occurs within 60-seconds of take off but sometimes many minutes later. Occasionally (even in Safe Mode) I get a CTD after clicking the FLY button in the world map. Even with no flight plan / just an origin …

i've followed the tutorials online for the aig, downloaded flight plan info for various airlines, set the directories correctly (i think).. had to run the manager as admin (win 11).. running beta10 as of now too. I run the sim as regular non admin, but i also tried running it as admin. The only way i can get the controller to appear is to run as admin, its version is 0.5.1.1 I click inject traffic but nothing appears (using kpit as an example).. i have a few static aircraft already there from a freeware addon though. I noticed some tutorials showed launching with -MSFS2020 at the end, either way doesnt help. I tried renaming content.xml to .bak…

I have made a couple of flights since the update. My flight plans have imported OK but the map labels for the From and To airports are gone. I can no longer click the label, choose Zoom and instantly end up close-in so I can easily peruse gates and ramps. I must now manually zoom in and find the airport, whereupon parking choices become visible. OK, but a bit of a pain...
