Microsoft Flight Simulator (2020/2024)

Odd issue flying the plane today. I've flown it probably hundreds of times by now and haven't seen this. Got a route in the FMS, it's on nav mode, and it seems to be having lots of trouble following the line. It'll turn too wide, then overcorrect several times. So the end result is that after every fix I slalom around in the sky for 3 to 5 minutes before it finally settles down on the track. Bank angle is set to 30, so it shouldn't be that. Anyone else experience this?

Just wondering if I'm the only one that experiences this: a subtle "bouncy" yaw motion when turning - as if the nose is being pulled along by a spring. It's noticeable on any aircraft - even twins - so it's not caused by P-Factor. I've even noticed it on big jets like the Fenix A320 and PMDG 737. I noticed it before SU10, but it seems more pronounced lately. At one point, I thought it might be caused by spurious inputs from my controllers, so I unplugged them all and I see the same effect with a just mouse and keyboard connected. Hi guys, Is there a button I can assign to switch from Com 1 to Com 2 for ATC...at present I have to use the mouse to press the Com 2 tab at the top of the ATC window.

I have a few of the South Oaks FS Birds packages and noticed a large update to them yesterday in the Marketplace. My first experience after the update is that there are now a lot more birds... even a bit too many. They seem to be everywhere! But then again I have never flown a plane myself in real life so can’t really judge. I also noticed that a lot of the birds zipping by had this shimmering ghost trail after them, which makes them look like something out of Stranger Things. Has anyone else noticed changes due to the update?

In FSX and P3d I enjoyed the spot view that doesn't change heading with your aircraft. In "normal" spot view the camera changes direction as the aircraft does. This means it is locked to the heading of the aircraft. In "fixed"chase view the camera stays on its heading. That way you can see a much more engaging view as the aircraft rolls and turns. It is also great for video footage. It seems not to be enabled in FS2020. I tried several goes in the main camera cfg file and whatever I assign to chase view the sim stays on defaults. Any ideas?

I'm using the Toolbar Pushback addon. It works fine except that I get no sound. What options need to be turned on in MSFS in order to get sound?

I sent Alexey an email yesterday explaining I lost all my downloads and he returned the email today. He is making efforts to reopen the site. He's attempting to migrate the site so members can download the existing airports but he can't take payment from new members because of sanctions from us and even from Russia who are also imposing sanctions against doing business with the West. Hopefully the world will be at peace again soon.

I have 1246 old weather files (.WX) from the flight adventures "Doherty's Difficult and Dangerous Approaches" and Michael Vone's "MV-Challenges" for FS 2000 and FS 2004. Now I would like to re-fly some - or maybe many😀 - of the flights in MSFS. MSFS can't read these WX files, of course, so I tried to open the flights in FS 2000 and "translate" the then visible weather as best I could by hand in weather presets in MSFS. This works in principle, but is very tedious. Does anyone know if there is a converter for these WX files or if there is any other way to translate the weather in a more easy way?

I have been flying the PMDG Boeings for many, many years now. I’m pretty adept at programming and setting the aircraft up to fly and I have hundreds if not thousands of hours to show it. My point here is I’m not new to these aircraft or their systems but ever since the LNAV are update for both the 600 & 700 I find that at least half of my flights will fly along as if everything is nominal when all of a sudden the LNAV will go into a left or right turn and do lazy circles around the magenta course line. Sometimes it’s it rejoins, often it does not. Anyone else, or is it just me? -B

I was wondering if anyone else is having issues with the SWS Vans RV-14. It has been working great but lately I cannot get it to start. Rotate magneto switch to start but propeller does not rotate so the engine does not start. Tried both previous version and current update. Uninstalled and reinstalled and still have this issue. Is there something I might have changed in the sim that might be causing this? Thanks for any help. I really like this aircraft but right now it is just a static object. Mike

Hola All, I believe some of you are developing liveries for your fav birds on MSFS 2020, and I would love to hear from you and finally understand why: My Fenix A320 worked perfectly on Sunday, then today I installed a livery off flightim.to for my Piaggio 149 (dropped in Community folder of course). Flew my Piaggio happily for just under an hr before changing my mind for a quick hop in the Fenix instead. No such luck with that, Silly-Me. The sim would ctd every time upon loading the Fenix A320. Anyone else seeing this? I just today reinstalled the Seminole to test something for someone and my tablet will not open from the right side lower pocket. I recently updated my PMDG 737, hoping the newer version would fix a longstanding issue I have, that whereby the plane becomes very difficult to move once it's landed and come to a stop. However, the latest version still has the same problem, at least for me. Specifically, after landing, whether I've selected autobrakes or nor not, and after I've stowed the reversers, the plane requires about 75% N1 or greater to get it moving (and even then, it's at a crawl). I've checked all the key mappings so I can't imagine what the problem is. This is the only aircraft that has this issue.
