Hello everyone, With this being such a common device, I'm hoping the AVSIM community can give me a bit more of a broad perspective than Fenix support has on this, because they are focused on their airplane and I'm becoming increasingly convinced it has nothing to do with them, more the sim. I'm using SPAD to map my control assignments, and have assigned bindings for all the lights to the switch panel above the throttles. They'll move the switches, sure, but the lights will usually not work. No beacon, no strobes, sometimes the effects will pop in and then disappear. I was never able to get the strobes working. Plot twist - flew in the C700, and the lights w…

I've included a link to the video here: https://photos.app.goo.gl/E8uV4HanxwNnG9zM6 I have been trying for months to determine the cause of a persistant stutter that occurs only in the FBW A320. This does not occur when using any of Asobo's in game aircraft. This stutter more resembles a one second freeze most of the time, and occurs every 30-60 seconds when at low altitude or when taxiing. I've used every setting combo in the game and nvidia settings to no avail. There are a couple of threads in the forums and also in the FBW discord that discuss this, but no one seems to pinpoint it. If possible could someone take a look at the video and tell me what might be happ…

Not seen any feedback on this recent release - anyone out there purchased it - and if so - what are your initial thoughts?

I wanted to fly long haul with the PMDG 737, thus I've downloaded a cool biz jet livery from flightsim.to and set up the aircraft equipment in the FMC as I did with every airliner livery before. I've set the aux tanks to a maximum number (5 FWD, 2 AFT) for a maximum range of the aircraft. What I've noticed, this setting doesn't get saved when loading the aircraft the next time. The number of aux tanks get resetted to 1 FWD and 0 AFT in the FMC, but the config file (N502BJ.ini) in C:\Users\myusername\AppData\Local\Packages\Microsoft.FlightSimulator_8wekyb3d8bbwe\LocalState\packages\pmdg-aircraft-738\work\Aircraft shows ... TIOS Antenna Installe…

Hi everyone. Hope i'm writing in the right section. Do you know if there is a tweak to solve the problem of seeing vertical lines while flying trough clouds, using DX12? With DX12 looks like i can get better FPS, but as soon as i fly into a cloud, trough the windshield i see kind of vertical lines trough them. My GPU is a AMD6700XT, latest drivers, but happened also with older ones. Thanks in advance for your help.

Greetings All, Well, I know people are running into some troubles post SU11. Before you throw tomatoes, yes, I do stick with the baseline real traffic and ATC. It gives me a good balance of traffic without killing performance and having to run multiple programs. I had this great combination of real traffic that used AIG models. Once I upgraded to SU11, I no longer have real online traffic at all. I even reverted the the traffic bgl to default and nothing shows. I can use traffic communicator, PSXT and real traffic to inject traffic, but not the MSFS online traffic. I have the data traffic settings to on and the traffic settings to online, I even have the live traffic…

Just asking in case I'm missing something obvious to make things easier and quicker... I do the following for any aircraft where it is possible to do so (i.e. if I don't think its installation method may make it tricky or problematic to do so): Example: An aircraft has 10 liveries but I only ever use two, so I delete the other 8 and correct the aircraft.cfg accordingly. (I keep the default livery - [FLTSIM.0] - (often reluctantly) in case deleting it causes issues). When I update that aircraft, I then replace all but the SimObjects folder with the corresponding update's versions. Then I do the same with everything inside SimObjects apart from the aircr…

I'm interested in what aileron, pitch and rudder sensitivity settings users are finding seems to work best with the Kodiak. My understanding is the developer recommends linear settings for all. Thanks, Al

I'm wondering if anyone else has encountered issues with Taburet's Night3D add-ons now in SU11 (possibly existed in SU10 as well)? I've been troubleshooting some heavy stutters and while I believe there are broader issues at play with SU11, I'm also wondering if the sim's object limit that was introduced in SU10 is rearing its head as well. My issue is that I get heavy stutters and 15-20+ FPS loss that disappear as soon as I delete the Night3D add-ons from my Community folder. I first noticed the problem when taking off from KLAX and landing at KFUL (testing sim stability and smoothness). As I'd approach the airport, I'd go through a couple of s…

So I was trying to play around with the In-Sim Vsync settings today. I was using the In-Sim Developer FPS counter as a guide. MSFS was on a monitor that was configured to 60Hz so I turned on Vsync and set it to 50% of monitor framerate. However, instead of it indicating something around 30 FPS, which was what I was expecting, the In-Sim framerate counter would not go above 12fps. UPDATE: OK, more information but I am still confused: I have two monitors. One was set to 24Hz for refresh rate and one was set to 60Hz. I had MSFS running on the monitor set to 60Hz. However, when I set the In-Sim Vsync on and set it to 50% of refresh rate, it ended up at 12 FPS, whi…

Unfortunately Navigraph is not working properly at the moment but they're looking into it: https://forum.navigraph.com/t/technical-difficulties-reported/10192/13 I was just about to start a flight in the A310 but can't do it without access to IFR charts. Just have to wait until they sort it out.

I have been tempted to buy the DC Designs Concorde as it is on Black Friday sale at £20.99 and it looks like a nice aircraft. But following further research, FS labs have announced that they will too be brining out a version of Concorde. I have seen that FS lab have a reputation for slow development, but what are the thoughts on their product? Would you recommend that I jump in and buy the DC Designs version or hang fire to see if the FS labs version is better?

Is there a noticeable difference between Ultra and High Texture resolution? Everywhere i have read people suggest having it at high but wasn't sure if there was a very big difference in looks and performance between the 2. What do you all think?

Just an avid owner and I have no objections to the HJET. It does everything well especially VNAV. I can't wait for the WT 3000 updates but will abide until then. Really fun to fly bird that I highly recommend. sp

I would like to fly in the Caribbean more often. Now that there are Black Friday sales everywhere, I thought it would be a good time to buy some 3rd party airports. I fly mostly airliners (A320s and Boeing 737), so I'm not that interested in GA airports. I already have LatinVFR's San Juan and FSDT's Key West. Are there any other airfields in the area that you can recommend? Are there any "must-have" airports in terms of quality or just general atmosphere? Any tips would be greatly appreciated.

The last couple of days i seem to be arriving on final at least over 2k or more higher than i should be in V Nav. is anyone else experiancing this? The only thought i have is i am on the Beta for the updates mainly to the A310. Could it be a cause ? I don't know. It seems strange to have been perfect for months, yet suddenly this has started happening . The PMDG 737's are fine, so i am at a loss.

I'm running Navigraph 8 Charts app on my PC outside MSFS and when I turn on the Moving Maps / Follow Mode, I get micro-stutters. With it off, its smooth. Anyone else experiencing this?

Whilst I thought I already had the best HD monitor for picture quality I am aware that previous posters have mentioned a step up from this which my GPU can take advantage of but I cannot remember for the life of me what it was. "Best Montior" in the search box comes up with not a single post so can somebody remind me what I should be looking for while the sales are on please.

Helicopter pilots and low flyers might be interested in the new Aerosoft Offshore Landmarks North Sea launched yesterday. At €17.13 plus VAT it seems like fairly good value with nearly 400 new helipads and over 700 on moving ships which you can land on. Here is a taster video: https://youtu.be/tg4GyCzirF8

By now everyone knows that the online MSFS online environment is one not totally controllable by Microsoft so some of use may suffer especially when loading the Sim. My recommendation is if it takes a long time to load the sim when looking for updates is to pull your internet OR go ofline in the config settings before you shutdown MSFS. The benefit is that MSFS will load almost instantly and once you are into the main screen you can once again turn the online mode to on. I realize that this is a PIA for some of us but we only want to get the sim up and running. sp

The 40th Anniversary DC-3, Beaver and A310 are getting a lot of comments, but little mention of the Inibuilds Goose, which is odd as it's a go-anywhere aircraft. It could be that a lot of people already have the Big Radials version. Personally, I have mixed feelings about the Inibuilds one, but I'd like to hear what everyone else thinks of it.
