Microsoft Flight Simulator (2020/2024)

I have both PMDG B737 and 738 in the hangar, been flying them as long as PMDG been building them since 2003. Now this I cant resolve.. I have the UNITED,AMERICAN ,DELTA and SOUTHWEST liveries installed.No problems on any plane untill I load the SOUTHWEST 800, not the 700. On this plane only, I get no hydraulic pumps to operate thus no flaps or gear etc? If I load the same 738 with any of the other liveries...no problem. There is some flaw at least in my SWA 738 but I have no idea where to look or how to resolve this.I should probably bring this to the PMDG forum but I thought to start here first. Any thoughts?

An update was applied today. Since then, the home screen comes up and I set up a flight, but once I click fly and it starts looking like it's loading, everything freezes and Windows 11 tells me the program in no longer responding. I have rebooted Windows to no avail. I am going to try again without running addons linker so nothing in Community folder, but in the meanwhile, anyone else having an issue similar? I am almost hoping it's not something in the Community folder since I have like 65 things in addons linker. I couldn't believe the difference after I deleted rolling cache all of my stutters were gone.

I'm currently mid way through my first flight in the A310 since the latest update. I've noticed that inibuilds have made some changes to the overall sounds for the A310. I'm finding the new engine sounds to be quite disappointing. The CF6's seem to have lost their characteristic high pitched whine during spool up. Also, when turning on the packs they seem to be much louder than before, almost too loud. Finally, the very satisfying clicky buttons on the MCDU don't have the same "click" anymore. Anyone else notice the changes? What do you think of the new sounds?

Just recently started playing again with the Maddog and only yesterday with liveries. Now I can’t get the EFB to use pounds, but the load manager and plane are using pounds. I’ve set pounds in the load manager and it’s weight and balance shows correctly in pounds but the EFB remains kilos. Anyone have experience or insight? I’m stumped. TIA, -B

Hello, After updating MSFS with 1.29.30.0, I can't select Live Weather, only allows me to select Preset or custom weather. Only can select AI or off. and cannot select multiplayer. When zooming to world map it looks strange. anyone have same issue?? Any help is appreciated. thanks.

After the most recently released mandatory update I did observe a significant change in take off and hover behaviour of helicopters, most significantly in the Cabri, but also in the heavier HPG H145 helicopter. Before the update I could take of and hover very smoothly and comfortable in as well the Cabri as the H145, but now take off is very wild and difficult to control. In addition low speed hovering is very unstable and somehow stuttering. At increasing speeds the stability characterics return to normal. Did some body else also notice this deterioration in handling and stability during take off and low speed hovering?

I inadvertently paused a flight just now in the PMDG 737-600 around 50NM before TOD for around 30 minutes. When I came back to the Sim I noticed the fuel quantities were exactly the same just before I stepped away and when I took the sim off pause the aircraft did not plummet towards the earth lol Just wondering if anyone else can confirm they are seeing similar behavior.

Since the latest update 2 times now I have experienced heavy stutters at approach. One time it was with the approach for Rome LIRF rw 34R when Fiumicino is at the left at early dusk. The next day I did the same flight but arrived 1h earlier and all went smooth. Last week I did a flight to Naples LIRN rw 06 at early dusk and everything went smooth. Just now I arrived in dusk and the stutters began when flying over Naples. The framerate has been fixed to 30 + DLSS3 so the framerate seen is 60. I paused the sim and turned Vsync off. The lowest fps I saw was 48 with stutters like it was 5 or so. My pc is high end ) 13900kf @ 5.8 / 4090 / M2…

Is it just me, or are other people experiencing a lot of CTDs lately?

For me, it makes a massive difference. For anyone unaware, it's one of the "Experimental" settings in your options. It changes the background of the sim's menus (i.e. pre-flight) from the animated hangar image to a plain image. In my case, I find my GPU fan speed drops from around 3200rpm (98%) to about 800rpm (25%) - the same as before starting sim - which is like comparing your companion softly blowing in your ear to a hurricane!😄 Apart from being quieter (and using less power), it can only do good for the lifespan of GPU fans. Hello all. I tend to load into MSFS without making a flight plan and then create it on the GNS 530 (I'm using the latest mod version) and have run into an issue. I can create and fly a quick plan that i make, but as soon as the aircraft reaches the first waypoint in the approach, the GPS disconnects from the AP, the flight plan disappears, and I'm left aimlessly flying in a circle. Allow me to explain my procedures. - Start on the ground or whilst already flying, create direct-to i.e. direct to KLAS. CDI to GPS, AP to NAV mode. I have been evaluating various AI Traffic options for msfs and i think i have found a winner. I started out with the default AI Traffic but it just wasn’t very good. Very little activity. Terrible liveries. It wasn’t immersive. So then i tried Aerosoft Simple Traffic. It does populate more planes at the airport, using built-in sliders in msfs, but all it really does is populate airports. I didn’t see much activity. Simple, yes. Immersive, no. Plus the planes it adds makes no sense for the airport you are at. So then i gave AIG a go. Spent hours installing it. It just constantly crashes. I know, not AIG’s fault. It’s a msfs issue. Hello all! I find that the pushback vehicle seen below for the Fenix A320 is way too big and doesn't really fit. Any way to disable that pushback vehicle for the A320? I just want to use the smaller tugs.

I have an issue with the brightness of the G1000nxi on the Cirrus SR22 - it is very dark and it is not obvious how to adjust it . The display adjustment knob on the panel appears stuck on maximum and can't be rotated and the manual adjustment procedure on the PFD itself shows no difference in brightness going from 0 - 100%. So I read the manual and the Internet. Went into documents/Maddog and found the appropriate folder. Dropped the 6 liveries I downloaded from Leonardo’s site into the appropriate folder as zips and followed the directions for installing. All six liveries appear there as installed, but…when I open MSFS and the Maddog no liveries appear and I’m still stuck with Leonardo’s livery. Help please and TIA, -B

Hello Folks and happy Thanksgiving, Im sure this topic has been addressed before but im not in the forums that often. When I load a flightplan from simbrief into Msfs folder, And it appears on the start up screen route and all, I then choose a parking spot but it stays on a runway and will not allow me to choose a parking spot. It has never done that before . When I choose a parking spot it will move my plane to that location. I now have to pick a waypoint , not knowing the affect it will have and then i can choose a parking spot. Im sure im missing something. I was able in the past was to pull down the list of spots and then move to a spot, but not anymore…

I use the fantastic AIG tools (AIM & AIG TC) to inject AI traffic into the sim. But unfortunately I don't get any sounds (engine noise, etc) coming from the AIG injected traffic. Has anyone else experienced this issue or know of a fix? When enabled, I do hear traffic injected by MSFS and multiplayer traffic. I assume there is an issue with my AIG install, but the /SOUNDS directory is populated with .wav files for various AIG aircraft and doing a verify setup in AIM comes up clean.

So I am building a new flightsim computer, on which I want to reinstall MSFS2020 Steam version. Now I forgot to deinstall the sim on my old computer. Will that be a activation/license problem?
