Is there a known problem with complex airport names in flight plans? I have a flightplan in the Eastern Caribbean that causes the G3X to fail when loaded. I have narrowed it down to TNCS-TNCE which when removed, fixes the G3X. These airports all have long names with punctuation marks. Not sure if both are guilty, but thought I would ask first if this is a known problem.

Just Flight's upcoming 757 for MSFS: The 757-200/300 will be an all-new MSFS-native aircraft which will take full advantage of the SDK to create a visually stunning and incredibly immersive simulation of the 757-200 and 300. The team are still in the early stages of aircraft systems development and therefore further details will follow, but the aim is to ensure they are accessible to simmers of all experience levels, with a significant jump in systems depth versus the MSFS airliners, providing an authentic 757 flight deck experience. Sounds like good news.

A video on the ObsidianAnt YT channel last year indicated that the Northern Lights were to be added in by the end of 2022 Microsoft Flight Simulator - Aurora Borealis, Flybys, Tower Views, G1000 Keybinds. Anyone know if this happened? I edited in Northern Lights in a video last year Fly Greenland - Northern Lights - Aurora Borealis - MSFS2020 - 4K Can’t seem to find anything with a search.

Many of you may have figured this out already, but I thought I’d offer this to everyone. If you have difficulties starting the DC3 manually, here’s the solution. Make a new profile under the Honeycomb Alpha and delete any reference to magneto’s in the profile. I couldn’t follow the start up procedure for the life of me until I did this. I would turn the Honeycomb magneto and both engines would start. If I didn’t nothing, nothing would happen. Just thought I’d offer this tip in case anyone was having difficulties.

Hey guys, i'm new here, but i have a question, when i'm playing msfs2020 and playing on london city, or Barcelona or more cities with a lot of details. My GPU seems to be like on 10% usage and i have 5fps. that's my specs: GPU: rtx 4090 CPU: I9-13900K RAM: 64GB 5600MHZ MSFS IS ON MY SSD 4GENERATION 5000MB WRITE/READ SPEED network 2.5gb download.

As an extra piece of hardware that is specifically for additional views to the one's I have assigned on my yoke, I have an Xbox cotroller. I have found, ever since using it, that whenever I use the right stick to fly around the aircraft or look around the cockpit, there either appears an arrow (cursor) or a white dot. It doesn't show while in Showcase mode, only inside the cockpit or in an external view. The white dot appears in the cockpit, but when using the controller for an outside view, it generally becomes a rather obtrusive large white arrow! Can anyone offer any ideas of how I can remove this annoying little critter, or is this a known bug? Thanks.

Curious if anyone has any first hand use experiences with these two yokes.. im coming from a ch eclipse yoke and pedals myself.. there is the rare chance i may want to use the same setup in the living room on xbox, but very very rare, 99.9% use case pc if ever xbox (4090 + aero goggles). Im leaning towards getting the honeycomb yoke and the velocity one rudder pedals ($300). The other choices on pedals were the MFG set for around $310, or more expensive by 2x the cost options out there, but my budget is around $300. Aside from being plastic, i think the turtle beach pedals look good and are adjustable. Any thoughts on any of this? Thanks in advanc…

Those here who struggled with the monster FSX was on release in 2006 would surely remember Nick Needham's FSX tuning Bible. Anyone knows where the man is these days? The simplicity of msfs just reminded of those torture days 😂

I have joined the AU11 Beta. Now when I load the Longitude and get ready to take off I get a CAS warning and the announciator keeps saying NO TAKE OFF. I have no idea how to clear this warning or what it means. Has anyone else experienced this? Need help in getting past this CAS warning and being able to take off again. Thanks guys!

Hi folks, I have MSFS installed pretty much on its own on a 2TB SSD - is there any tangible benefit for manually allocating a large Rolling cache size within MSFS settings (say 1TB for example). Cheers

Now that the nasty radio tuning problems in PMDG aircraft have been addressed, are there any other major compatibility, performance or graphics problems in AAU1 that others on this forum have seen or seen reported elsewhere? I would like to have a look at the two Cessna bizjets, but don't want to get into major hassles with serious roadblocks. From what I see in AVSIM, both the Fenix and the B737 are OK now., but I do understand that beta means beta. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

What FPS difference do you see between DX11 and DX12? Back when SU10 launched, I noted that DX12 wasn’t noticeably better than DX11 but ran with it. I just got a 4090 and did some more testing (with my 5800x3D). I actually get 5-10FPS less using DX12 with 4K Ultra and LOD 300 or 400 (TAA). Drone view goes from around 86FPS to 78FPS (using LOD 300) with the Kodiak on the runway. Am I alone in seeing FPS go down with DX12 now?

It has been months since I've had both the desire and opportunity to fire up any sim. I finally took the opportunity to update the sim, grab the latest GNS updates from WT and test a quick IFR flight in the steam gauge 172. Actual weather in my area is low IFR with 200' ceilings and 1 1/4 mile visibility. The sim nailed the weather including winds aloft. The approach that I tested was to a runway with REILS only and I nearly needed to go missed. At the last moment I spotted the REILS emerging from the mist. I was incredibly realistic. Basically it's long pauses (~10sec) during which GPU usage percentage drops to zero. Than it jumps back to life, but only for a couple of minutes after which it freezes again... I had this problem before on my main PC, maybe a year ago and I completely forgot about it, when it disappeared and/or what I did to fix it. But now it reappeared on my backup PC. So maybe some of you guys had it and fixed but still remember what you did to fix it? If you do, please help! Many thanks in advance!

I have never encountered this problem before, but suspect it's something that is easily remedied. Basically I'm wanting to move some sceneries that have been installed into my community folder and move them to my scenery addon linker folder. I think the issue is fairly self explanatory and help would be appreciated, thanks.

When loading MSFS it takes a very long time when on the checking for updates screen and when it tries to download the current 1 gig update it does so at .05 Mbs. I check my internet speed and it is 29Mbs. What is going on? Note I am located close to LA. sp

I have been recently experiencing CTD more often. Lately I was on a flght into London and everything just freezed when on short final, no crash nothing just freezed and I had to exit via task manager. Two days ago, I was departing in Hamburg and a CTD without any error message in the event viewer occured on the take off phase. Just a moment ago, I wanted to depart in Luxembourg - after a 30 minutes wait, due to the vatsim event - and it again crashed during take off phase. I thought maybe this is because of my ssd was pretty full, so I emptied it and get some 35GB extra. Obviously this hasn't any effect. I do not run the BETA, GPU drivers are up-to-date, new windows …

I couldnt fly the A310 both the standard and the enhanced, from the beggining. It always generate a CTD, I tried in normal mode at in safe mode, I tried algo uninstalling it an reinstalling, and no way. It is the only aircraft with which I have this problem
