Microsoft Flight Simulator (2020/2024)

As I seem to be having all sorts of sim'isms today, has anyone had a hardware controller disconnect from the sim mid-flight? Particularly annoying after anytime spent in cruise realising that you can't activate any axis on any controller. Just dead. Second time this has happened in a month

In MSFS Add-on Linker I used to have thumbnails when hovering over one of the liveries in the presets. Now I no longer have these thumbnails and I so far haven't find out how to get them back again. Have any of you an idea how to get them back again? Thanks.

Anyone having this issue? Weather menu won't enable live weather.

Now that helicopters are 'a thing' in MSFS, which ones would you like to see developed in the next year or so ? The Huey is always going to be a firm favourite, but there are others I'd also like, such as the CH-53 Sea Stallion, the Westland Wessex and the Merlin. Thoughts ?

Ok so I mentioned this problem in the past here and was never able to resolve it, but the other day while watching a YT video, I noticed others don't have this issue. I appeared before SU11 and did not go away, it's here both with the latest beta or without. It doesn't go away with the google map enhancement or not. I've tried all settings and nothing works. So, while using the world map, zooming in on an airport, (standard, 3rd party or premium) it shows runways and surrounding terrain, also parking lots, but no taxiways nor terminal buildings. It seems I get errors using marketplace, so I am forced by buying scenery outside Marketplace. I want to add Drzeweski airports KDCA and KMDW along with Chicago, Seattle and Washington scenery. I am not computer savvy, does DD scenery self install? Also is addon Washington/Chicago and Seattle a needed upgrade or is default MSFS just as good.

Hello, I'm having a bit of a strange problem where over the past month or so I've had three flights where the arrival airport simply wasn't there, there was just the default ground imagery in place. The three flights were: Inibuilds EGLL - Asobo HECA (no screenshots) Inibuilds KLAX - FSimstudios CYVR IniBuilds KLAX - Verticalsim KBOI I've had many other flights where the arrival airport worked as expected so it's inconsistent. I have been reviewing ATC programs and wasn't really planning on giving Pilot2ATC a serious look. I am not really sure why not, to be honest. Maybe the UI looked a bit dated? New issue today, regardless of restarts, I am having consistently long pauses on the BlacksharkAI and Trademark opening screens - up to 2 minutes. Not had this before. Nothing new added to the sim or changed. Anyone else had this? erich

I bought DD EWR. I think all of DD's US airports are great. I didn't get too much time to check it out but did a quick flight from KBOS-KEWR today. I thought the quality and detail were awesome but I had more stutters than ever on approach and taxiing. Easily more than any airport I have flown into in MSFS. Granted, I was flying on Vatsim and there were lots of people flying out of EWR and I also have Feelthere LGA. My question is, would there be a way to reduce stuttering by taking out LGA from my community folder when flying into EWR? Is there a way to make the default Asobo JFK less taxing? I had a longer pause. Just recently I've installed all updates (SU11+ beta). I read, that Asobo/WT have reworked the avionics. Is there a summary what all is new? Unfortunately, the TBM930 cockpit graphics look much worse now. I see a lot of jaggies/bad antialiasing in the MFD, which also looks too bright with too much contrast. I've set MSFS graphics first back to Default, then applied my preferred setting again. NVidia Display Settings are on default. Of course, I have removed all TBM related add-ons and the WT G3000. Is there anything that I can do, to get back my former (very good) graphics quality for the TBM 930 cockpit/MFD?

I wonder if you guys could help me. I have the Beta and I've noticed that when I enter waypoint NATHN (and a few others) that they show duplicated twice and sometimes three times. I cleaned the Community folder but that didn't help. Here's what it looks like in the G3000. I tried on the A320 and it's the same result (three entries). Any ideas? Thanks.

Hi...I don't use rudder pedals..I just use my airbus joystick when taxiing. When the joystick is neutral, the plane pulls to the left just like cars do in real life. Is there setting, that keeps the plane taxiing straight when hands off?

I've got utterly fed up with the messed up controller calibration setup/mess since SU11. My X-56 axes no longer animate the horizontal bar in the setup screen(s) and sometimes some axes just refuse to work - when they were fine in previous sessions. I'm thinking of doing a clean reinstall of MSFS, but am wondering if it's only going to re-import the (possibly) corrupt data that's stored on the Cloud. Is there an option (when re-installing or removing) of also removing all the User data that gets stored either on the Cloud or in your User/Appdata locations? Any advice gratefully received!

I bought a 1TB M2 drive, and am wondering what would be better, to clone my present SSD ( 480 GB) which has OS plus MSFS to the new drive, so everything is on the new drive, or to "Move" MSFS from my C Drive to the new Drive. I guess I am worried about problems that I might create by Moving MSFS from one drive to another, as far as updates, add ons, etc.

I have Nvidia RTX 3080Ti, but DLSS is not available. I get the AMD options and that is weird. I have tried in both DX11 and DX12, but it is not showing up. Any ideas how to fix this?

I have been flying with MSFS Live Weather for awhile now. However yesterday I wanted to use one of the various Weather Presets I have available but I found when I turned Live Weather Off in Settings & went to the Presets, they were greyed out. Anyone else finding this/ know a fix? T45

I bought Xometry KEGE last week and have flown out of there once and into it once. I like it when departing. However, on a flight with the Fenix into KEGE doing the RNAV to 25, I noticed the altitude was messed up. I was on profile according to the chart but looking at the airport, it brought me in WAY too high. It is almost like the elevation of the airport was a few thousand feet lower than it should. Has anyone else noticed this? I had to go around and then completely ignore the chart in order to get in there. Just thought i'd see if anyone else experienced this or if it was just me.
