Microsoft Flight Simulator (2020/2024)

Hi, I have following setup: 2 TB with 5150MB/s, 1TB 3500MB/s and 500GB normal SSD. How would you split these? I use the 500 GB SSD as storage for personal stuff, and documents etc... I thought I could use the 1 TB for photos / videos and the 2TB for Windows, applications and MSFS. But how should I split this? Everything into C or should I partition it? Besides MSFS I use the computer for otherstuff too but cannot say how much space I would need in the long term, I don't want to be limited. Does it have any sigificant advantages to install MSFS on C: and allocate for instance Community Folder into D:?

Hi there, I took advantage of Christmas offers to buy LEIB (very nice scene). I noticed that some doors have Safedocks but it doesn't work. Could someone with LEIB confirm this for me? NB: With GSX Pro the marshaller is positioned just behind the safedock 😂

Since I use my Pc for creative work either, I have found recently, that the studio drivers are more optimized. Has this an impact on MSFS and is the difference sigificant? I actually liked the geforce experience app where I just could update the drivers, is there a way to update the studio drivers via the geforce experience?

The difference between the built-in flight dynamics of the H145 and the AirlandFS profile is quite large. If you stay under 80-odd KIAS then the AirlandFS profile is pretty good (Realism = 100%, sensitivities = 0%, spring relax off). Something weird happens at around 85 knots and again a little past 105-or-so knots. The skid indicator and what happens outside seems to be disconnected: achieve balanced flight at 100+ KIAS and the heli yaws itself way off course. And the H145 AirlandFS is one of the better profiles out there. The H125/AS350 profiles (have tried them all) are just bizarre. Somewhere, someone said stay off the AT pedals above 80 knots. Bought and installed the premium deluxe edition on Christmas eve, and trying to use the default flight planner to plot an IFR route. Specified a runway for departure and when ATC directs me to depart from a different runway, I can't change the runway in the B787-10's FMS. Can someone enlighten me on how to change the runway in FMS please?

Has anyone else noticed that ground tiles load quicker when not using VSYNC? With VSYNC my frames are locked at 60 without it 80. Also I use the Goole Map tool with AGIS tiles. My LOD is 150. I ask because sometimes the tiles won't load at all with VSYNC. sp

I currently have a 256GB ssd C drive and 2TB D drive. MSFS2020 is on my D drive purchased through MSStore. I have just purchased a 1TB ssd to replace my C drive so i can run the sim from the ssd instead of the data drive for performance reasons. I am ok with reinstalling windows 10 and FSX in steam and downloading all my addons for FSX, i have done it a few times before. My issue is MSFS2020 folder is currently 300GB and will take me 3 days to redownload or more, i would rather fresh install windows, install MSFS2020 to drive C then copy over everything from D to C if that would be possible. in the D msfs2020 folder i have community (32GB), content (1.8GB) …

What is the recommended procedure for moving MSFS 2020 from a partition on a SATA SSD to a new NVMe M.2 drive? With P3D this was a simple process you simply moved/copied/cloned the P3D installation to the new drive then changed the drive letter to that of the former install drive and you were good to go. Unclear if this will work with MSFS 2020 - I found that could copy most files to the new drive but not the packages. Will cloning work - going from a 2tb partition on a 4tb SATA SSD to a new 2TB M.2 drive using a tool such as Macrium Reflect or Acronis and then changing the drive letter as with P3D? I have purchased a new computer. For FSUIPC I did this. Copy the old fsuipc.ini file and my .mcry files into the new FSUIPC installation. None of my previous assignment seem to work. Why should they not ? Have I made it to simple for me ? Or could I have missed something ?

My girlfriend went from Arlanda to Malaga today at 11:00, I sat at the airport in the game and checked her departure, but I didn't get an update when she flew away, so apparently live traffic doesn't work, I could locate her plane on the gate but it never departed in the game, it was really a disappointment to see how poorly live traffic works in MFSF.

Your light heli is parked facing 200°, the wind comes from 300° at 7 knots. What do you do : - push by hand the tail for the heli to face the wind before anything else - have the heli light on her skids and turn the nose to the wind before hovering - just do a crosswind hover ? Same question when the heli is facing 120° (tailwind hover) ?

Hi: I'm noticing when there is an overcast layer or fog I get lots of stutters. Any help? I'm using live WX. Also using DX11 and my settings are all "High". I'm just not sure what settings to adjust/lower. Thanks.

Anybody have any problems when they hit the /START and then Eng master on. Usualy should start getting N1, N2 nothing seems engine is dead. Going to try again tonight
