Microsoft Flight Simulator (2020/2024)

Since the last Aeroplane Heaven D.H. Chipmunk 1.6.0 update - regardless of what you try to do in the MSFS payload screen, the pilots steadfastedly remain visible. Makes the aircraft pretty well unflyable. I've posted in the JustFlight forum, but wondered if anyone else has this problem - or even has a fix.

Previously loaded co-pilot avatars have disappeared. No longer visible inside the cockpit. I've deleted scenery, liveries, aircraft, utilities, all in hopes of finding the culprit. When I go to General Options and then to Misc, the only avatars on my system are a male and female dressed in pressurized flight suits. Anyone else had a problem with avatars missing?

I've never had issues with MSFS but when trying to load it today, I got a message saying "that I couldn't load it because of an error" (i copied the error code but it didn't save to paste after rebooting). I rebooted the PC and tried starting the sim and it is telling me to insert my disc. My guess is this is temporary and on MS's end but thought i'd see if anyone else is seeing this

Sorry if it sounds a bit over the top. But from my point of view, the new AAO version 2.80 is a little revolution. With its StreamDeck plugin version 14.15 it supports now the StreamDeck PLUS and B:Vars natively. That means, no need for B:Vars hooks which have been a real pity to script and install. Now, the B:Vars act as every other variable also. I have uploaded a complete reworked TBM profile now, supporting StreamDeck XL and PLUS Big thanks to Oliver, the developer of AAO!!!

I have just begun flying the Beaver, and found that the prop is so opaque that I cannot see through - which makes it pretty near impossible to see the runway or make a decent landing. I have restarted the sim, but the problem exists for default aircraft as well as add-on liveries. Has anyone else seen this problem, or found a solution to it? Any suggestions will be welcome! TIA

Just tried to Fly The Carenado PA44 Siminole. Haven't a clue how to turn on the Autopilot. No On Button, Checked the fuses, No switch or selection on the main panel. Anyone know how to turn this on? Thanks Walt

Hi, Since SU10 I've had the problem that I keep having CTD with GPU Error. Before SU10 I kept having RAM error problem... That went away with Beta 10.. But then with SU10 and 11 comes GPU Error.. Do you have any ideas? https://abload.de/image.php?img=img_20221209_214324jpfec.jpg

As the title says, with the gotfriends mod there were finally great splash and wake effects for the DHC2. They seem to be gone after the AAU1 beta update. Or is there a mistake on my end?

Trying to install A320NX. Wanted to see about the MCDU that can be seen on tablets now by running thru a web browser Seems everything installed. Looking on web and some tutorials, they say to find the 'MCDU Server' folder in the A320NEO folder under Community That folder is not there That is why Im trying this Flybywire I tried Stable and development versions. Also when I fire up the plane in MSFS202 its start in cold and dark state. Do I need to do some setting to have it running

I've been running into a few issues lately with the Fenix and wanted to know if anyone else has this or if this could be a cause. None of these issues have occurred on Vatsim. On my last few flights (before and after the update), I have gotten the autopilot automatically disconnected and I cannot reconnect. Today I was flying into MDW and around 6000 feet on the STAR, I wanted to go into selected speed (I was at 250 kts managed and wanted 220). I went into selected and could hear the engines spooling down and saw it on N1, but the speed stayed at 250 on the PFD. The orange bar came up to 250 and at that point my AP kicked off and no matter what I did I couldn't reeng…

I remember not too long ago seeing the value of a control setting being visible when the mouse was hovered over the control (e.g. “Elevator Trim 20%”) . I cannot seem to find the setting to enable this feature after SU11. Has it been done away with? If, not can someone please explain how to get this feature working?

Getting back to sim now that winter is here. Downloaded flybywire A320 going to try to use that. Everybody talks about simbrief or naigraphh Navigraph has all the airacs and yu must subscribe. Simbrief more of a flight planner but u need to have an account with navigraph I believe navigraph can create flight plans, and you can get more accessories What do people use more

I used today to test stability of the sim (and my PC). I did a series of flights without restarting the sim or going back into the main menu. Addons used: FENIX, PSxT, all airports were ORBX except for LEAL which was freeware, GSX, Little NavMap, FSLTL & AIG for traffic models. The route was comprised of EGNT > EGAA > EGGD > LEAL > EDPF -- Divert EDPH. There was anywhere from 30 minutes to an hour on the ground between stops. Real time, real weather, no fast forwarding, and used PSxT Live traffic as well. EGNT > EGAA Uneventful, short, awesome flight with low visibility and a beautiful sunset. No issues or performance degradation. …

Is it just me or anyone else feels that after update 11 and new wind/drafts physics flying a small plane in mountain areas is simply horrible. Plane is thrown all over the place, like paper kite, even engines at full power does not help much. Have some mixed feeling about new physics implemented in MSFS...

After updating to SU10 i encountered problems when i ran my FS 2020 Thrustmaster Warthog script (generates a Thrustmaster Combined profile in FS 2020) that while loading the sim (at around 85% in the loading progress bar), the script would return a USB disconnect problem from one of the devices. When the sim then completed loading i was always greeted with a window that new devices were detected (2, Warthog Stick and Warthog Throttle) and that i could either customize them or load the default setup. Sometimes the script would load fine but mostly not. Disconnect did not come from USB powersettings, these are all unticked. Tried different USB ports, all but stick and…

The azure voice pack is gong and I cannot hear any AI communicating. My own pilot talks in the ridiculous default windows text-to-voice. This only happens with the A310. Is this a known bug? Or maybe i am supposed to switch something on in the cockpit like with PMDGs planes?

Slowly crawling from P3D to MSFS and learning everything from the scratch. I'm noticing that MCDU does not have time predictions and wondering whether it's a limitation of the plane or something I'm doing wrong. Thank you!

Hi guys, Since updating the recent Garmins in MSFS 2020 my VOR animations are weird, the vertical animation bounces up and down continuously...Even in Cold n Dark Weird...Am I missing something?

Could not find any information about this. Is the new default beaver using the new CFD simulation?

Does anyone know if there is a way to set the default zoom level for the drone camera, to avoid having to reset it every time? Whenever I start the sim it seems to default to 50%, even though I prefer and had previously changed it, via the top drop down menu, to 60%, which for me looks more natural.

( @Bert Pieke will be interested in this one!). One thing I'd noticed in almost all aircraft in MSFS is the jerkiness and initial instability, when engaging the AP. I went down a rabbit hole today and discovered two hugely important new variables that are available (but as yet almost wholly unused) in the [AUTOPILOT] section of the systems.cfg files, for each aircraft. These new variables are:- pitch_pid_reset_mode=2 roll_pid_reset_mode=2 A value of '0' relates to a Dirty or 'last known' engagement - this is the default value. When set, the last known positions of the servos will be restored. (A bit like 'resume' on your car's cruise control). So …
