Microsoft Flight Simulator (2020/2024)

I am flying the HondaJet from KDEN to KSLC. In SimBrief I specified the cruising altitude was 25,000 feet. I load the flight plan into the world map screen, and it looks like it loaded in the HJ. The whole flight ATC is telling me to descend to 8,200 feet. I requested that the cruising altitude be increased by 10,000 feet. ATC kept telling me to descend to 8,200 feet but expect FL350. This tells me that ATC knows I want to cruise at 25,000 feet (and it allowed me to increase it to 35,000 feet), but it still wants me to descend to 8,200 feet, which would have flown me into a mountain. Any idea what is going on here?

I am experimenting with the new FSLTL release and I want to start the Injector as part of my semi automated start up routines. I have a batch program to start my Joystick, TrackIR and Little Navmap software before it starts MSFS . My other routines are started by the FSUIPC7 software which is triggered by MSFS. I can start the FSLTL Injector program using FSUIPC7 BUT when it starts it opens a window and I have to hit enter for the program to accept my parameters and start the injection process. Is there an option which I can code for the "....\Community\fsltl-traffic-injector\fsltl-trafficinjector.exe" command which will remove the need for …

I want to pick up KOMA to add to my scenery collection. I see that both Verticalsim or Tropicalsim both have a version out for MSFS2020. I searched but haven't found a comparison review. Can anyone provide a recommendation?

Yesterday I received my Bravo Throttle and quickly realized I had an issue with the led's not working or at least not working unless I ran the "AFC_Bridge.exe" manually. I noticed that many others were having the same issue and also for others it was working just fine. So I assumed it must be a fixable and was probably just an incorrect install procedure. I need help with this, please. I cannot connect to MSFS with the LAN cable, it gets stuck at the end and cannot pass after the first screen. As soon as I switch on Wifi it does connect immediately. Everything else works perfectly, any software, any game but this. If I use Wifi I have no issues connecting and firing up the sim or anything else on my PC. I would appreciate any guidance you can give me. Thank you!

I just noticed that Verticalsim airports are 30% of at Simmarket and I’m thinking about picking up a few (BOI, ORF, FAY, GSP, MYR). There are not many reviews that I’ve seen but these are fairly inexpensive and many are airports that no one else makes. Can anyone comment on the quality of the Verticalsim sceneries? Cheers, Pete

Hey guys, unfortunately I´m facing a MSFS problem regarding stuttering. I don´t have any clue where this might come from and why it happens. Every few minutes I get short stutters, video- and tonewise, they last for like one to two seconds and then they´re gone. Does MSFS support bluetooth game controllers to control the drone camera. I have several Nvidia game controllers and they have no issue connecting to Windows 11 via bluetooth but MSFS doesn't even see them when they do. If I plug the controller in with a USB cable, MSFS sees the game controller just fine. So, does MSFS support bluetooth connected game controllers for drone camera control? If so, what's the trick? I normally run MSFS with Vsync ON, FPS Limit = 60, and monitor refresh rate = 60 hz. In NCP, I have vsync set to "use application setting" and frame rate limiter set to OFF. This normally gives me a smooth 30 fps with no stutters in most situations. Today I started MSFS, and I noticed that it was stuttering while panning. I looked at my graphic settings, and I still had Vsync ON and FPS Limit = 60 fps. But in Developer Mode instead of showing locked 30fps it was showing my fps fluctuating between 46 and 49 fps. I switched vsync off and back on, and the fps stayed at 46 and 49 fps. It appears that Vsync is not working even though I have it ON. Has anyone else …

Do you fly in full screen or windowed mode? I want to fly in full screen but can't figure out how to get to my desktop should I want to go into apps or the internet. There has got to be a way. I see people on YouTube dragging them in with the mouse but can't figure out how to do that. Any help?

All of the sudden what used to be smooth, now has shimmering and jagged lines; particularly on the ground and in the Fenix cockpit. I changed around some settings but am not sure which would be directly related to getting these. Can someone help with what would be a good starting point to look into? Thanks so much

Not only did I pick up a nice new 2TB Samsung NVMe drive the other day (on Amazon) just for MSFS, I have helped to start filling my new drive with the JustFlight BAe 146, which seems highly regarded, and also a nice bit of HJet from Orbx (to see what all the fuss is about). Both at nicely discounted black Friday prices. Problem is, at this rate, I will have more aircraft than I can ever fly! I need to slow down.

So, I have just opened up the 40th anniversary activities and selected the Frontier Airlines Denver to Salt Lake city route as my chosen activity. When the activity loaded, it was night time, as the local time in Denver was 04.50 (11.50 in the UK) Unable to change the time using the top menu bar as the weather icon is not available. How do I change the time without changing the clock on my PC? This is also true of any other activity that I have opened, in that it seems to automatically adopt the time zone the flight is in, and if you happen to be in a different time zone - like London - you often can only fly the activity during a night scenario - unless of course I …

After installing the KB5020044 update for Windows 11, I found an improvement in both fps and scenario loading. In the release notes of KB5020044 there is a reference to games which states " It addresses an issue that affects the performance of some games and applications. This issue is related to GPU performance debugging features."

Maybe some of u have any info about this developer, as after 247D release he has completely vanished - no any info, no updates... Very strange way of running own business.

The new Cirrus Vision Jet gets a lot of things right, but it fails at one thing that has become an important aspect of purchasing addons, namely that "there is always something" feeling you get when you start realizing that this doesn't work, or that is half baked, or your performance just tanked. It seems my flights don't always get logged. I just did about an hour long flight from Cancun to Belize, and when I shutdown, a flight from yesterday showed up in my logbook, but not the current one. Also, on a totally different topic, can anyone confirm the best setting for offscreen terrain precaching? I've read ultra is good, and will help eliminate stutter when panning around. Just want to make sure I'm not hurting performance.
