Microsoft Flight Simulator (2020/2024)

I have been using Navigraph for a few years now, both for nav data and charts, not because of any specific choice, just because... but it occurred to me that there are other options, or is there just one alternative... Navdata Pro from Aerosoft? I often get myself confused accessing the correct charts in Navigraph and wondering if Navdata Pro maybe easier. The charts themselves look 'different' and often easier to read, or is this just me? I'd be interested to hear opinons from anyone who has used both and can offer some comparative feedback. I know there are posts elsewhere, but I wanted to ask just in case things may have changed between the two options. Thanks guys.

So I decided to go for GSX Pro.... If I open FSDT Universal Installer the Update Button refering to GSX Pro is always clickable. Clicking it, launches something that seams to be doing some sort of an update that lasts about 2 min each time... Since there is no info provided about the installed version, I can't realy tell if it's doing something or not. It's a bit confusing....

It's a bit of a pain having to set the priority every time I uses MSFS but I'm finding it's running more smoothly in this configuration. Is it possible to start the process as high priority via a batch file? If so, would anyone mind posting the text to do so, bearing in mind that most of us would probably need to edit the location of flightsimulator.exe, but that wouldn't be too difficult. Thanks to anyone who can provide the text for me to insert into a .bat file. Whilst on the subject of batch files, could anyone supply the text they might be using to launch several processes, e.g. littlenavmap, fsltl and flightsim.exe. I guess most of us would be a…

Hello: I'm using steam version of MSFS. I installed MSFS onto my "D" SSD drive. D:\MSFS\Community where all my add-ons appear to be installed. I also have a community folder inside my: C:\Users\(name)\AppData\Roaming\Microsoft Flight Simulator\Packages. So where should my add-ons install? I notice I have duplicate RWYs at FSIA because I have an add-on for that airport. Hi, today I bought from Orbx PAJN and also have the Alaska Mesh installed. On the store it says "If using Orbx’s Alaska Mesh, please ensure this version of PAJN has higher priority in Scenery order." Can anyone tell me exactly how to do this? I searched in MSFS's Content Manager but can't find anything. I did a search here but couldn't find anything. It's not Orbx per se, it's how to do it, how to put something in a higher priority. Thanks.

Hi all, Trying to find information on what the best airliners are for MSFS, since there are so many addons, sometimes from very bad devs, that I wanted to know based on those who know and have tried them, which is/are? the best of a certain model (when it even exists of course). The idea is to fill this list, with the version/dev that is the best (As of today at least): Boeing: 737: 747: 777: 787: Airbus: A320: A330: A340: A380: Others: CRJ? MD? Thanks in advance!

Hi, everyone, Since the last beta update I've been noticed a rolling movement with the Cessna 172 with the AP on (no wind, no clouds, no matter what weather). The movement is left and right alternately, that is, the wings are raised a little first the one on the right, then the one on the left. That happens constantly. The movement disappears when I disable the AP. Anybody has experienced that? Thank you in advance.

Is is possible to see the real life liveries for airline traffic? I have live traffic on, and see the planes, but the paint schemes just seem to be generic.

I can't get this feature to work. I have created a fp, loaded it into MSFS 2020 but when I go to Pilot2atc and push on top, it lights green but it doesn't appear on MSFS. Thoughts? Thank you!

When I had first installed MSFS, in busier airports there was quite a bit of AI activity plus ATC communications. I turned-off the ATC communications (I believe the option is ATC VOICES) but somehow the AI activity ceased as well so I am suspecting some other option has been turned-off as well. Please let me know what MSFS options I need to turn on/off in order to have: AI activity at airports (taxiing, landing, taking off), and The native MSFS ATC to be silent. I don't have any AI Addons installed.

Haven't seen much discussion on this. So far I have checked out the cockpit and notice that most switches and controls seem functional. Tried one flight, but had trouble setting the cockpit view so that I could both see the instruments and see out the windshield. Any observations on systems depth etc?

When I try to update to the latest SDK (0.20.5.0) I receive the following error message: "The feature you are trying to use is on a network resource that is unavailable. Click OK to try again or enter an alternate path to a folder containing the installation package 'MSFS_SDK_Core_Installer_0.19.3.0.msi' in the box below." However, I can't find MSFS_SDK_Core_Installer_0.19.3.0.msi. Is there a simple solution I am missing. Thanks.

For anyone interested, on Navigraph forums it is available a Beta for Charts 8 ingame panel. The new in-game panel version of Charts 8 has the basic feature set of Charts 8, including VFR map, zoom to airport level, automatic pinning of charts, airport METAR/TAF and runway winds. Due to technical limitations in the browser environment provided by the simulator, there are some notable differences though, which we will not be able to work around: There are no map filters, meaning there is no way to turn certain elements in the map on or off No globe projection No way to rotate the map, and hence no track-up moving maps

Can someone tell me what is the logic behind MSFS locking the weather & time menu once you load a saved flight? No other sim does this.. This does not bode well for long hauls in MSFS.. Last few days, I have been getting CTDs so often (different topic altogether), but only saving grace is all those CTDs happened with PMDG 737.. which means I had a perfectly saved flight with ability to restore full panel state including the time on the clock! But here comes the kick in the gut - found out you still cannot change weather once you load a saved flight.. don't know if live weather will work in saved flights.. doing long hauls is going to be problematic if I cann…

Many PMDG 737 owners have posted messages here and on other forums about how their 737s have been bouncing up and down during flight since the release of SU11. This visual effect can be almost sickening if you happen to be afflicted with this issue. Hi guys, I purchased the lLonheart creations Trinidad TBM 21 in the Black Friday sale from the microsoft store but cannot download it...it is in a constant loop. It downloads all the file, decompresses it all and then starts the process all over again ...must be on 15 occasions now I have tried... Either I am doing something wrong or the file is corrupt but have no idea what do other than abandon it..it shows as owned in my content manager..

just installing 340 mb and via content manager 4.27 gb
