Microsoft Flight Simulator (2020/2024)

Hello, I’ve finally started using Addon Linker and already thinking I should have started using this a long time ago. I’ve bought a mixture of things through 3rd parties and a lot just through the MSFS Marketplace. Anything I’ve bought in the Marketplace doesn’t appear in the Community folder. Is there an easy fix for this? I’m somewhat assuming that any future purchases should be made outside of Marketplace? Many thanks, Mike

Working on my landings. Is Flight Recorder supposed to record the throttle or other indications of engine operation like N1, etc.? On last landing of A320 I noticed it showed N1 at 88% all the way through ILS decent on glideslope.

Since the latest Beta I have wanted to get back to flying the CJ4. BUT, I am having issues with the FMS and can't figure out what I am missing. I have tried using the World Map and manually entering flight plans but both end up with Incontinuities, and then I cannot get rid of said Incontinuities. I have watched a couple of Youtube videos about the FMS but what they suggest doesn't seem to work on this version for some reason. I have also found that while trying to follow Jaydee's WT CJ 4 checklist FMS options differ from what is now available. Is there a newer Tutoral video since the latest CJ4 release?

I'm using WT530 and since last update I have CTD none stop. CTD happens in different aircraft and at different location. Not sure what causing it but I suspect WT 530 avionics. I tried to uninstall PMS530/750 thinking they could be in conflict but CTD didn't stop. Does anyone else experience anything like that? Hi, I still have CTD's in MSFS.. no matter what I try. First since SU10 was the problem with Overheat GPU Error. Have tried many tips like, disable HAGS, install drivers via DDU. Everything done... Made a flight to GCLA yesterday and shortly before landing again CTD without error message... MSFS was simply gone, the event viewer only says that MSFS.exe had to be terminated. I find CTD's without an error message much worse than this GPU overheat... At least you get an info.. It's really amazing what MSFS is getting on my nerves. Kind of interesting to see how MSFS 2020 is proliferating on various social media channels, there are even MSFS videos on TikTok! Makes me wonder how long it will take before MSFS 2020 shows up in a K-Pop video.

Is there a way to remove the static planes for this airport, particularly the Allegiant MD-80's? I ran their universal setup but didn't see a way. I know in the P3D days, there was a config app that you could change things but I don't think that is available in MSFS. Thanks!

Hi all, I jumped into the default Caravan today for a flight in the freezing UK conditions and was delighted when I saw ice all over my windscreen whilst on the runway for the first time. It was at this point I realised I had no idea if there is an anti ice option or even how to use such an option? Can anyone give an idea what I need to do in such conditions? p.s. the aircraft can still fly with ice on it but I couldn’t see much! 😀

After installing SU 11, has anyone noticed that while using the B-747-8, the 2500FT altitude callout is no longer accurate. Crossing the altitude 10 times, you’ll maybe get 1 that's accurate, but after that, every single callout will be totally inaccurate (sometimes by over 1500FT). I have no addons on my system and my install is totally default. I’m running Windows 10 and my computer is a fast new one. I'm wondering if anyone has experienced this too. Thanks. Mario

All, Since SU11 have major frame rate degredation on flights of over 1-2 hours from a steady 38 down to unflyable single digits. Tried the Inibuilds A310/Fenix with same results A310 on approach to MkV Gatwick addon last night. Fenix over the ocean today same results. SU10 was smooth all the way with gradual F/R loss on approach to the aforementioned Gatwick but still very flyable. Something is amiss with SU11 other than the servers I think at least in my case. Can anyone suggest any work arounds please?

Curious which ATC program you guys are using. If you use more than one, select the one you use the most often.

For some reason I hear a lot of sound drop-out during a flight with FS2020. Sounds like short pause moments.. Had this with my older system and now also with my new one. (I7-13700K/DDR5/3090/MSI Tomahawk Z790) Anyone an idea how to fix this ?

Many times when parked at the gate/parking and everything is in place then when I shutdown the APU of the FBW 320N the ground services (Stairs, Baggage, etc) are gone. Any idea why this is ?

I have been experimenting a bit with custom weather presets. When developing a custom weather preset, I see how to set the clouds and winds, but don't see a direct way to set visibility (RVR) -- is there a way to do that, and if so, how? As best as I can tell, the winds info is not saved as part of the custom weather preset -- true? For how wide a geographical area does the custom weather preset apply? Where are the custom weather presets saved on the PC? Thank for any help with this. Al

hey guys, finally upgraded to fs2020 last week after years and years of FSX/P3D. Love alot about it, but a few things I hate. I have noticed, and apparently after some digging, this may or may not even be fixed but, when I save a flight, then reload the flight, it is stuck on (in my case) real world weather and real world Time. the problem is, aside from not being able to change any of it... even though its time and weather are set to real world..when I load the flight they dont update to the current conditions/time of day. as I understand it, once you save a flight..your locked to whatever weather/time settings you had at time of save...however, if its all set to real wo…

I use the ribbon toggling it off and on when I need to however I recently tried this one: Subtle Taxi Ribbon » Microsoft Flight Simulator and it's really ideal I feel. It truly is so subtle you have to look for it as you are taxiing as it is similar to the centerline green lights but and it's perfectly effective. As the 787 is up off the ground a ways you can only see the last green dot. In the 738 I might see two or so.

I was thinking today after dozens and dozens of IFR flights in the Fenix A 320, that in the three decades I have of simming, I have never experienced anything as stable as MSFS 2020. I take off, after planning the flight using Simbrief, fly a Sid if it is applicable, using PF3, plan my descent into arrival airport, shoot either a RNAV or ILS or Visual approach, land and taxi to gate. No hiccups, no bumps, no problems, it just works each and every time. This morning I shot the ILS into 18C at KMEM, with a 225 foot ceiling, and landed with a 100 FPM rate. Kudos to Asobo.....

After a recent update my Saitek Yoke and other controllers are not showing up in the program. I cannot calibrate or adjust/change any of the axes or buttons.

Just spent some time soaring through Monument Valley on my way to Sedona, the terrain is simply stunning. Beautiful mesh and textures, jaw dropping rock formations everywhere. An amateur geologist's dream. Beautiful coloring from the mineralization. Near waypoint 4 are Potash Evaporation Ponds, with striking colors. Decided to hit pause and post the pln and wpr here. The weather preset has winds from the east for ridge lift, and nice thermals under every thick dark cloud.
