Microsoft Flight Simulator (2020/2024)

Has anybody been able to get any traffic at VHHX? I understand live traffic (or PSX) won't work at all, since there's no VHHX anymore. But has anybody managed with the other AI traffic solutions (FSLTL, AIG)? Even with the static aircraft, available at Flightsim.to (https://flightsim.to/file/29583/kai-tak-1998-aig-static-aircraft-placement), it looks lifeless.

Hi, I am running msfs with an i7 10700k at 5 ghz and nvidia 1080ti on a 34" ultrawide 1440p at 30fps, all works well for the ga flying I do except for the judder when panning. I have some spare cash and could either upgrade the processor or purchase a g sync ultimate monitor ( Acer Predator X38S 38 inch). Never having used g sync monitor my question is will it smooth out the panning judder? Any information appriciated or would it be better to upgrade the processor and run at 60htz to smooth out the panning Thanks Mick

Hi Folks. My local airport EGPH had a facelift some time ago with the addition of a new apron and taxiway. This new apron is where the bizjets are parked up and it shows as such in Bing Maps. I have the new ORBX EGPH and it is fairly accurate with the new apron and parking spots. However, the sim world map page still shows the old airport layout. Does anyone know how often the world map screen gets updated? It would be nice to see the new layout with the correct parking. Regards...Ken.

I suspect this may get deleted by the Avsim mods (understandably so) ... but I'm just so sick and tired of these *constant* server disconnects. I thought they'd be sorted for SU9, then Su10 ... now Su11 and this utter lunacy persists. If nothing else, then Asobo could at least recode things so that photogrammetry is automatically re-enabled when the connection is remade. Re-selecting it manually from the menu is time-consuming as the cache has to be rebuilt. It has to be the single most irritating thing about MSFS. If the MS servers can't cope (and not likely to be fixed soon) then why can't some latency/redundancy be built into the sim?

I was wondering if there is a way to improve the model matching. I have multiple AIG airlines packages installed as well as the FSTL base models and use them with the inbuilt Live-Traffic feature. There are a few airlines that MSFS has trouble assigning either correct models or liveries for. For example CLH (Cityline Lufthansa). The models being used are correct, yet the liveries are all over the place. They were CRJ's alright but I saw a Kenya Airways, SAS, Nordica. It was all over the place. The only thing I didn't see was an actual Lufthansa livery. Or an Uzbekistan Airlines 787 that showed up in a Air Canada livery

I just noticed that the focus feature of the drone camera seems to be broken after my upgrade to SU11. It seems to be disabled and switching modes makes no difference. Any one else seeing this?

So I had no issues yesterday, but when I woke up this morning and tried to load the sim up I get the infinite load screen after i click to fly. I've tried taking everything out of the community folder and still no go. Any other ideas?

Hi Guys, Sine the recent sim update my MSFS now randomly freezes loading the screen after pressing the Fly Now button, it always stops about a 1/3 rd on the Blue bar The whirly thingy in the corner stops and all I can do is use the task manager to quit,,, .

This is my 4 screen and tablet setup with the G2. Using AirManager and a popout for instruments. The feeling of immersion is great with eh 3 top screens, it feels like you are in the heli when sitting in the right place. This is a flight from Mass General to Logan in real time and WX today. A bit windy out of the west 10-18 kts. This actually makes it easier to fly the heli, just face into the wind on T/O and landing. I find it amazing I get this quality from my old not very powerful system ASOBO has really done a great job. Im thinking about getting gsx for the deicing feature, because right now if I am sitting at the gate and its snowing the airplane gets covered in ice and there is no way to remove it besides turning on the anti ice (not allowed on ground in the a320 and 737). My question for those with gsx, does the deice actually remove the visual icing and set the aircraft icing level back to to 0%?

Never been able to properly fly choppers in MSFS predecessors but trying again (as a famous Dutch once said - in French, mind you - Point n'est besoin d'espérer pour entreprendre ni de réussir pour persévérer). I went back and dug in my treasure trunk to find an oldish site that I bookmarked long ago which is IMO not bad at all. Did some flying around in the Beaver and its a nice model that flies nice and straight. However I will probably get flamed for mentioning this but I am kind of disappointed it's so basic. I own the FSX/P3D Milviz package and you had all sorts of options plus multiple float options like amphibious and regular floats. The big killer is the lack of a tundra tire option and really surprising the lack of skis. I was hoping for at least skis for this model. Its hard to complain since you can't complain about the price but its hardly anything definitive. Early on this was supposed to be a definitive package but then Blackbird/Milviz sold it to Asobo! Can the color of water bodies be modified in the sim somehow? It seems blue in most places. For the old FS versions one could manipulate themselves colour via some texture files.

Hi, While patiently waiting for a fix for the A310 FPS issue, I am reminded about another product that had a less than stellar roll out, GSX. I tried the initial release and used the free demo, with poor results. I decided to hold off on a purchase, but really wanted that products. Just wondering where it's at today? I had issues with jetways on the wrong side of the aircraft and passengers walking on air. Just wondering if it's good to buy now? Thanks

2 flights now, 1 from Sydney to Brisbane, the second this morning from Auckland to Sydney, and both times after TOD the 737-800 just goes off on it's own merry way completely disregarding the flightplan (simbrief), either flying straight on or turning in the completely opposite direction. I'm not new to this plane due to flying it for many years in P3D, but I am pretty new to this version in MSFS - is there a process I'm not following or a button I'm not hitting? Flightplan(s) contained no vectors or discos, very frustrating having to hand fly from 30-odd thousand feet.
