Microsoft Flight Simulator (2020/2024)

Many may know this already but I just learned about it last night in trying to discern sources of loss of ultra smooth animation/performance which I had recently arrived at using a method which generates ultra low frametime variance (FTV) which is absolutely associated with incredibly smooth performance. For the first time since launch I decided to go into and stay in OFFLINE MODE after getting one of those alerts that I had lost connection to MSFS servers. I was so jazzed to see a heretofore unachieved level of incredibly smooth and micro/macro stutter free performance associated w/ near zero frametime variance--I was just stoked! No more! I don't know if it might have been a Win 10 update that happened right before SU11 was installed, or was something in SU11, or something in the PMDG 738 that doesn't play well w/ SU11. I was under the impression that there are a number of glider fields that were added with SU11. How do you find these in the sim? Does anyone have a list ?

Hello, don't kow what to do else: renamed trafficAircraft.bgl to trafficAircraft.bgl.off Where esle are these ugly models hidden? I'd like to delete them! I use MSFS Real live AI Traffic with AIG and these models still come up. better to have no plane as these planes. thx

I'm having problems when changing views using the POV hat button on a Saitek X52 Pro. DC-3: Button to the left - view goes to the left. Button to the right - view again goes left, and slightly aft, about the 8 o' clock bearing DHC-2 Beaver (both versions): Button to the left - view goes slightly forward, and left towards about the 10 o'clock bearing. Button to the right - the view goes round and looks aft down the cabin. Other aircraft seem normal (those that I have tried, anyway). I know of one person who's having the same issue with the DC-3. Anyone here experiencing it ?

First up I managed to be able to run the flight sim MSFS 2020 not connected to the internet with modifying or doing anything for the last couple weeks, so today is the 14 November, I was flying the baron G58 doing somewhat messy ILS approaches into Albany Western Australia 2 days ago (12th) and mucked around doing the same with the SR22 and now I’ve noticed they have mysteriously vanished along with a couple of diamond aircraft as well as the CJ4 longitude in the aircraft list when you go to create a flight, all the while I have remained disconnected from the internet. Is there any explanation for this ??

I played a bit around with my traffics and I'm finally not sure if I have broken sth. I do not see any live traffic, even not the small green planes on the world map. I only use AIG models with live traffic, but have not a single plane in the sim. If I enable ground traffic, I see AIG models. Can anyone please check if there is live traffic in europe currently? thx

I have searched for an answer to why any plane of mine fitted with the Garmin 1000 has a total Garmin screen blackout after circa 5 minutes flight or even sat on the runway. I haven't used it for perhaps 6 months so unsure how I (or MSFS) have messed this up. When Asobo started integrating the Working title version I deleted the mod to use the new MSFS version, so that is not the problem. I have started MSFS with ALL mods disabled via Addon Linker and the problem remains. Looking in the Content Manager and searching for Garmin I see there are two entries. I tempered my expectations with this release (I mean ... just think of a few of Adobe's earlier releases – Volocopter being chief amongst them). Had a quick test with the two helicopters this morning, a brief flight with the DC-3 (looks promising, beautiful modelling) and spent the rest of the morning flying the Beaver on floats. Impressed with the tablet and apparent state-saving. Feels pretty good all-round (not perfect, but better than most earlier Asobo releases [and yes I know Blackbird made it]). I got the update no problem however the Sim doesn't seem to be connected to the internet. My Live weather is greyed out and some of the cities look like they have generic buildings whereas before they were quite detailed.

Just wondering what's everyone's thoughts on the wind gusts now in SU11. I'm in the camp that loved the gusts added to the sim.👍 Justing wondering have they been toned down in SU11.

Here is Lavours airfield created by Emmanuel Richer. This small aerodrome takes place next to the Rhône in the plain of the large marsh of Lavours. The hangars accommodate microlights and a microlight seaplane. The neighboring Rhône is a listed hydrobase. The track is narrow and the pilot must choose the most favorable edge when in the intermediate seasons the humidity rises. One of the biggest issues I have with the MSFS camera system is the vertical placement of the external camera. For some reason the sim places the plane in the bottom quarter of the screen, which leads to all sorts of issues including parts of the plane off the screen in many circumstances as well as a general feeling of unease at the dissymmetry of the entire scene. Has anyone heard from the actual devs on why this painful design choice was made? It literally gives me a headaches sometimes as you see more of the sky than the ground Has anyone found a solution to this problem, in the form of a mod or cfg editing? Thanks!

Come on Microsoft! For three days the 'Connection Lost' pops up all the time after a short reconnect! And you make it sound like it is my connection that is at fault! I have a 1GB fiber connection and it is fine and very reliable. With a company your size it is a shame that you can not provide us with stable servers. But you don't care, do you?

Hello, after the latest major update is anyone experiencing a problem with the sim where at a certain time after launching the flight (I was supposed to write "after takeoff" but this happened a couple times during taxiing to the runway"), depending on where you are the sim stops responding? Screen freezes, audio continues but doesn't change with input for eg. when moving the throttle nothing changes in other words I would say its also frozen. Now it sometimes depends on where you are, lets say you are flying from point A to B and it takes 10 minutes, the sim freezes half way during the flight 5 minutes in. The instructions say to move your Rudder left and right a few times and nothing happens. Anyone else seeing this? My rudder pedals are set to rudder axis and calibrated properly.

Hi, i posted this on the GSX forum because GSX was not able to add line properly for the couatlmsfs64 version. The Logitech plugin dosnt start so i suspect it has to do with the first 3 lines regarding FSUIPC. Hi folks. I decided to try the SIM AI traffic for a bit but I don't have the option for AI LIve Traffic. I just have OFF and AI OFFLINE. My status shows I am online so I don't know why the option is described but not there. Help? Thanks. NEVER MIND: I realized I did not have it turned on in the DATA panel of the options.

This may be a non issue. I always run MSFS it via the X box App However, i always had two options. standard edition or run via Premium Deluxe. However after updating I only get the standard edition, and Premium edition says buy now? However if I run the standard Edition all the premium aircraft etc are still there., Anyone else get this?
