Is there any way to get the modern avionics into a livery that has the old avionics?

Hello, Whenever I turn on the G1000 AP, the flight directors, pitch hold (PIT) and ALTS are automatically sellected. There doesn't seem to be a way of turning off the FD in AP mode and thus removing ALTS so I can't modift the elevator trim when the AP is on.. Is this normal? Thanks in advance

Hi how does the Rotor Brake work on the Bell helicopter? The blades just keep spinning when everything is shut down and the handle for the rotor brake just moves a little.

Hi, Didnt have this before but after the SU11 update MSFS via Microsoft Store and via the Xbox app is looking for the installation on c drive but its installed under my O: drive . FSRealistic doesn't seem to work anymore after the update ?

With the formal introduction of helicopters and gliders in the 40th anniversary edition I have noted that helicopters and gliders I have installed before the update does not show up in the new Rotorcrafts and Glider categories. Is there any way to correct this?

Prior to the update, I had around 950 hours in my logbook but post update, I had 1015 hours. What happened? I've logged a couple of hours or more since the update and the logbook is still showing a total of 1015. I've not seen this issue mentioned anywhere, so is this just affecting me or has anyone else noticed a problem?

For some reason, I can't customize the weather or time now. I know this occurs when you enable the option for multiplayer -- and that's exactly what I did. But when I de-selected the option for multiplayer, the sim still won't let me choose custom weather or time of day. I've rebooted my computer several times and the multiplayer is shown to be OFF. I know that many people, including me, have been suffering connectivity issues today. But the irony here is that I can get LIVE weather fine now. But I can't choose my own weather or time -- just like multiplayer is still enabled. Can someone help me! Thank you.

I'm trying to manually set weather to get good/easy gliding conditions with updrafts. 1) I see in the forum real word glider pilots. What settings do you use in MSFS ? temperature, winds, time, clouds, .... 2) how to you spot the updrafts ? I did the tutorial and I activate the visibility of thermals. I see lots of blue lines... but unable to spot where the updrafts are 🙂 Thanks for your help. Guillaume

I normally use a controller profile with reduced sensitivities. But using my normal profile in the Jenny I thought the aileron axis was dead. But actually the Jenny is so stable compared to any other plane, I had to use a profile with the sensitivity back to default. Anyways, in real life this plane must have been unique. A biplane that has no agility !

Chopper looks decent inside and out. Once I disabled the helpers it flew a lot nicer - it's touchy like the real one. Sounds are nice too. I'll be flying this a lot more! I'm obsessed w/ this issue having had fabulously stutter-free performance for most of MSFS life until some months ago when subtle stuttering of varying quality slowly ensued and I essentially just put up with it as the deterioration was subtle over months. This came to a head a month ago or so when I installed Bijan's most recent release and that seemed to add enough degredation in performance that it prompted me to start fresh with a complete reinstall of Win 10 and MSFS. I began getting hard pauses after this which traced back to my forgetting to disable the Win 10 desktop slideshow. I bought Simworks' RV-14 from MSFS's marketplace and for whatever reason it comes with a co-pilot that I just can't get rid off. The thing is, I fly almost exclusively in VR and I found having an avatar sitting right next to me (almost literally due to how real everything feels in VR) is just creepy and drives me nuts. I tried setting the weight of co-pilot in W&B to 0lb but he/she is still there. I don't have such copilot problem with any other planes, say 172 etc. I don't think this RV-14 comes with any configuration tool either. So how do I get rid of this copilot thing? Thanks a lot!

I noticed in the Bell 407 thread, people were already complaining about stuff that didn't work. Well, there is a forum that you can go to and complain about bugs and other stuff that doesn't work, for the new planes in SU11: https://forums.flightsimulator.com/c/community/40th-anniversary-edition-feedback/356 Please post there. The developers of the plane/helicopter will probably read the feedback there and fix the plane/helicopter in a future hotfix or Sim Update.

This is a beautiful looking helicopter inside and out. Sounds are lovely too and I got into Vortex Ring State on accident! Unfortunately it seems very basic for instrumentation. The default GTN650 is very simple and not very functional as you cannot even switch the CDI from GPS to VLOC - in other words the VOR indicator cannot be used in with GPS source. You can tune a VOR however when I change the OBS the needles don't change at all... I do seem to get a valid signal though. I do enjoy that it has a yaw string. What are everyone else's thoughts? Flew fine this morning on 1.29.27 after yesterday's update. Just started up a new flight a few minutes ago and there was a 2G download waiting to 1.29.28.0 and it was like a new istallation prompting me for my options. I lost all my defaults including control assignments. Has anyone else seen this today?

Just wondering if anyone experiencing problems turning on live weather after update. After the last SU11 update when I go to weather menu, Live Weather is turned off, when I try to turn back on, the switch pops back to off position. I can load the presets but when I choose live weather it pops back to off. Any help or suggestions is much appreciated. Also when I close the sim using the back to desktop feature, It just hangs on the quit simulator screen. Bill M

Anyone else seeing the right side of the cockpit blurry in VR? It's very difficult for me to make out the GPS and I can't even read what is on the tablet. The left and center seem fine and I have no issue making out what is on those. I have sharpening turned up all the way. I'm also seeing a distortion of the land when looking through the prop disc.
