Microsoft Flight Simulator (2020/2024)

Well, iniBuilds did some further digging and it looks like the WASM compiling issue isn't what is causing the poor FPS for some people in their Discord #general channel: (I copy and pasted the text from their #General Discord channel but I don't know why Avsim is indenting the text in the weird way above). Well, back to the drawing board I guess. It explains why there is no fix for the poor FPS in the new SU11 beta today.

I currently have the Honeycomb Alpha Yoke, Honeycomb Bravo Throttle Quadrant and a logitech extreme 3d pro flight stick. I was wondering if it would be better just to purchase the Thrustmaster TCA set since it mimics the real life airbus flight stick and throttles. Or could I simply get by using my logitech extreme 3d pro flight stick and the honeycomb bravo? What do you think would give me a better overall experience?

In reading the official forums and my experience this is turning out to be one buggy version of MSFS😌: 1. AI Live Traffic - This is far worse than before. Now we have A330's just sitting on smaller GA field runways and not moving. Their taking off and landing with more frequency than before. Fields that never service these aircraft nor have the runway length now have these birds present. I know some are using FSLTL but in not using Live Traffic I found you don't see traffic in your cockpit displays. Not sure if that's new. 2. ATC - Very buggy this time around. We all know ai traffic is a mess, but i think some crafty folks over at the official forums made the situation a lot more acceptable. This post isn’t going to be super detailed as i am leaving this morning for 10 days in Hawaii, but here goes… So with built-in real-time traffic turned on I get those ugly liveries. With FSLTL only i get no landings, and it takes 5-10 minutes for the airport to wake up. It turns out you can combine both pretty easily, getting a lot more airport activity without those ugly default liveries. How does the new included Kai Tak compare to the one on Flightsim.to? Also is anyone seeing two runways on the new included ones?

Anyone found a way to keep them or save the NV Experience filters (if possible) and then put back. Now I have to apply them again after each update…, Thanks

With the release of Sim update 11 and flyable Ai Aircraft and Working Titles Garmin 530/430 and 10000NXI i got for free from the marketplace.This sim is starting to feel like it's predecessors minus the customizable weather stations to save on your flightplan and different cloud types,seasons and FSX style missions along with an Encyclopedia and Learning Center.Asobo still needs to add helicopter training to the flight training menu.Other than that,the sim seems almost feature complete.

After SU11 I can no longer free look in cockpit view. Can anyone tell me what I need to bind to my mouse to get this back. I've tried the default setting but it doesn't work. Thanks guys!

After testing on my end it looks like when the current version of the G3000 is in the community folder is when the dead ATC issues start (can't hear pilot voice, ATC center voice, both, and ultimately a crash at some point). I've noticed this with the Longitude but not sure how others are making out with the TBM. It looks like longer range flights that you plan with the default flight planner in aircraft like the Longitude exposes the problem. Sometimes default flight plans won't show on the G3000. I was able to reproduce this consistently doing a flight from KADS to KFCM. It worked at first and then never again. I wasn't going to waste time mentioning this thinking…

Just checking to see if this is normal. When I fly into icing conditions, I get the yellow caution light that says 'icing protection' not active. However, the switches are all set to 'norn' except engine ice. I'm pretty sure when I turned those on, the caution alert went away. Also, even with anti-ice on, my windshield still gets pretty glazed. Is that normal?

Hello all, I recently just switched to MSFS from P3d and am having problems with the throttle on my CH yoke. Seconds after adding full power with my CH yoke the in sim throttle is reduced to idle. This happens with all default aircraft (I don't have any payware a/c). I have done several calibrations through windows with no luck and the in sim flight controls shows the throttle is responding appropriately. I can't figure out how to fix this any suggestions? Hello there, need a help, please. I bought MSFS2020 standard for PC version on DVDs. Had to open Microsoft acc. entered 25 codes from the card and proceeded. Downloading took almost whole day. Late night I decided to stop it and continue next day. That was it. Next day I had to reload all DVDs. After activation codes got msg.: My MSFS2020 got redeemed. Finish. Why they do it ? I've never finished loading. What to do now, please?

Just an FYI... KNOWN ISSUES (Last update: November 14th, 2022)

I recently upgraded to a 5800X3D and 4090 FE. With Directx12 and Frame Generation enabled, it's absolutely incredible. I get more than 100 frames on the ground at ultra settings, 3440 x 1440, with the Fenix A320, at airports like Gatwick (the well-known "Gatwick EGKK Standard Full" from flightsim.to), and Madrid Barajas. But whenever I try to use a pop out window, the sim crashes. This happens with Directx12, whether Frame Generation is enabled or not. With Directx11, the pop out windows work without a problem, but the frame rate takes a massive hit. Am I the only one?

Thought I'd start a similar thread to the helicopters one :) ... I won't be able to try SU11 until next week and am excited to get into and learn more about gliders and helis. Would love to hear from all the IRL/sim glider experts out there on the two gliders DG-1001E & LSB-18 in the 40th anniv edition.. flight dynamics, thermals & atmospheric airflow interaction, tow/winch features, visuals/audio, etc?
