Microsoft Flight Simulator (2020/2024)

Hi all, Did not fly much in SU11, but I have noticed something strange going on with add-on airports: - I create a flightplan to i.e. EDDH (Simwings) and choose the ILS 15, with an approach using the flight planner. Everything seems to be OK. I am only using the FBW A320nx (but tested with the Asobo A320neo as well) - When I start the flight I see that the VFR map is showing the route OK, but the last waypoints are not named. - When looking on the ND/MCDU these waypoints are missing and the aircraft is send to the runway after the last waypoints. Anyone seeing the same? I tested Aerosoft EDDK, Simwings EDDH and FsDreamTeam LSZH with issues.…

I'm at a complete loss. After the latest update I'm seeing absurdly low performancewith the PMDG DC6 and 737-800. I suspect the same is true across other aircraft, but I'm guessing it's more apparent with the PMDG aircraft due to them being more resource hungry. A couple of examples, 737-800 at Iniscene's NZQN stuttering and frames bobbing around 22! With animated groundcrew stuttering as they walk. DC6 at the Gatwick freeware airport seeing around 22/23 by the terminals and wait for it, the 737-800 farmerates and stuttering around 18! What is going on! Been flight simming for almost 20 years, exclusively GA (Kodiak, C414, Hjet, Turbo Arrow in MSFS) and using FSEconomy for most of that time. Picked up the PMDG 737-600 ($35 best value add on ever?) last week and really enjoying learning and flying her. Looking for a way to enhance flights as FSE doesn’t really cater to airlines. I’ve never been a part of a VA which I’m looking at, or something like A Pilot’s Life v2 which gets you into an airline captain career with the main emphasis on flying, which is where I’m leaning. Just looking for some opinions from others with a lot more experience than me. Appreciate any input/suggestions.

Hello, I have both honeycomb throttle with autopilot, and the realsimgear GFC500 autopilot. With either/or both connected, and the Dual G5 (through air manager), I am trying to get VS to increase altitude and then capture the set altitude and then altitude hold. I could have sworn this worked before the update, but when I try to put VS to +400 for example, and set altitude to 2500 feet, it just blows right past it and im not entirely sure why. Again could have sworn that VS turned off when reaching ALT but now it does not. This is on the JustFlight Arrow III. Thanks!

Has anyone tried quitting out of the BETA for FS2020? It lead to a lot of problems during BETA 11. You either had to go back into BETA or do a complete reinstall of FS2020. So I am just checking if anyone has opted out and how that went. I am considering opting out instead of automatically being updated to BETA for U12. At least to start with as currently my sim is running fantastic. Any feedback is appreciated.

Does anyone else think that some of the status indicator lights such as the yellow Master Caution, and the blue Eng Valve Closed on the overhead in the 738 are outrageously bright? If I start a night time flight, that master caution light burns my retinas. I have to set the lights switch to dim, which sets them at what seems to be the proper brightness for flight in bright daylight. Yesterday morning, I did a flight in the 700 and realized that the the lights seem to be at the correct brightness. The dim setting on the light switch appears to be correct for night flight, and the bright position seems correct for daytime ops. Can this be edited in the PMDG planes…

Is there a utility or method which will allow all the different aircraft camera.cfg files? I tried to copy all the folders containing but MSFS will not allow that. It seems every time there is an MSFS update all the camera.cfg files get reset.

I am quite satisfied so far, especially satisfied in not seeing anymore that kind of bouncing that i always got in the Hype and the high speed instability with Fred's app. About the 407, i was expecting it to fly a bit faster (in the 130knots range?). I tried my best but was very difficult to achieve it.

... Actually, the question should be how do you know EGT, or at least CHT? I just can't find the meter! ... And allow me a bonus question; from what I can see, Beaver is a VFR plane, i mean not certified for flying into known icing conditions? No? It has only carb heat and pitot heat. And cabin heat. But how can you explain all this raving and glorifying this great little plane as a bush cargo plane IN CANADA AND ALASKA!?!? A plane that is not certified for flying into icing conditions?

I can't figure out a way to get the flightpath visible when entering a departure and destination on the flight planner. Once in the glider, I can select a destination on the screen, but only if it's 50 nm (or km? I forget) or less away. My destination is further. Is there a way to show this? thanks

Like many others, after updating to the MSFS to the 40th Anniversary Edition I am experiencing stutters, momentary freezes and CTDs. I've unsuccessfully tried a variety of solutions. As a RW fixed wing pilot and flightsimmer for 30 years, I am making my first foray into helicopters. Can anyone explain to me in simple terms how the cyclic and collective work and how I should control them. Do I need to be using both hands? I guess this might be of interest to those embarking on a similar journey post SU11.

Hello, I downloaded the game today on PC from XBOX app and chose the location install to be under F:\Games\Microsoft Games. Inside that folder, only 2 GB were downloaded, and the rest 100+ GB is under F:\Program Files, F:\WindowsApps, F:\WpSystem. Why is it like that? Went to install the latest update tonite and its telling me "not enough space to install". If I could get into the Content Manager I'm sure I could delete some stuff there such as different scenery areas and such, but I cannot get past this point of the mandatory update and it closes down back to the desktop. Is there any hope for me? LOL Thank You

Two issues here: 1 - panel states are not saved 2 - plane is way too sensitive for steering on the ground, is there any way to reduce that sensitivity as it kills immersion.

Hi is there a mod for the MSFS controller menu where you can choose a master setting and it switches all your different devices to it's proper settings? For example instead if me choosing my yoke, bravo, sim panel and more to PMDG737 setting then when I choose the Fenix I have to go and to each device again and change it. Thinking If there was a master button where if I choose PMDG 737 it will change all the different devices to it's proper plane.
