Microsoft Flight Simulator (2020/2024)

Anyone knows If airports bought directly from developers / Simmarket will work in MSFS 2024 ? Both have a Community folder. I have seen a lot vids but nothing about this. Or I might have missed it.

Came across this a few weeks back. Claims to work with MSFS 2020 but all the instructions are for FSX/P3D. Tried following them anyway but getting nowhere and the website seems well out of date also. So just curious if anyone has gotten this working?

MSFS 2020 system requirements: And MSFS 2024 system requirements: Take them with a grain of salt: My rig (with both my current 5700X3D and my old 5600X CPUs) appeared to be more than ideal for MSFS 2020, but I still have issues. For 2024, it will be just above recommended specs. At least MS is not forcing us Windows 11 up. Guess I'll need a new rig. Waiting for a 9700X and a 5070-5080 GPU to show up.

Color me dumb but does it say anywhere WHEN one can get the freebie? IMHO, when I get 2024 I'll be busy exploring that and not have any desire or time to try a new a/c with 2020. If it's available now, I sure can't see it.

There seems to be dozens of videos around that MSFS2024 global preview event. I'm sure there are many other simmers like me who can't or don't want to watch them all. So any recommendations on a handful of the most valuable videos would be highly appreciated. Thank you!

Hello, Looking for some help on an issue im having with MSFS2020. I loaded the game a few days ago and I am no longer able to pan around the cockpit whatsoever. I used to be able to right click the mouse and it would allow me to pan round, then release the button and it would stop in the area I've moved to. Now however, I am unable to even pan around the cockpit at all. All the camera does is slowly meander around the cockpit aimlessly to one side. When enterting the number of PAX in the PMDG 777, it shows 12 First Class 42 Business Class 316 Economy Class I’m confused about this, as it doesn’t match up with reality as far as I can tell. By my count there is: 40 First Class 24 Business Class the rest economy Anyone have any more info on this discrepancy?

I was expecting to see in the preview videos, the birds of FS2024 flying around. But none are seen. And what about trains? What about the little rodents?

Or is it a real world thing? And if so, where would I see that on an approach plate?

One of the most neglected regions in FS20 is Central & South America. In this part of the MSFS world the clouds have not been removed on the Bing maps making the visuals a hot mess. I just flew from Bogota to Panama City. Everything looked like it was covered in snow - including the Pacific coast of Colombia, heading up the Darian Gap and through to Panama. It really ruins immersion. Will FS24 use updated "cleaned up" Bing imagery? Cant they use AI to get rid of the clouds and fill them with jungle autogen? Wasn't Azure meant to do this?

Doing a flight in the PMDG 738 and charts are not loading in the EFB. Then when to the Navigraph Maps app and charts aren't loading there either. Anyone else with this issue?

The community was complaining about the ground handling in MSFS 2020 for the longest time. However, it looks like MSFS 2024 has revamped ground handling. Hello I'm using the analog KingAir on MSFS2020, and I'd like to make my own Circuit Breakers panel. The FSUIPC7 handles a few, and the analog KingAir itself only has a single L:var variable that controls Avonics. My project is to be able to control all circuit breakers starting with the Langin Gear Relay. I am at my wits end! Hope this is visible among the countless MSFS 2024 posts. I cannot fly anything without using autopilot. Every plane will slowly (and sometime more quickly) start a right-hand bank and I have to correct every couple of seconds or be off course. I have removed/checked key bindings on my Keyboard, Mouse and the game pad I use to fly. Nothing seems to work. Cutting off/on assist items seem to do nothing. Unplugged the game pad and used a different port, ect. I just can't seem to figure out why this is happening. It never used to. Since a number of devs seem to have intimate knowledge of FS2024, does anyone know if they made the new sim compatible with //42's Chaseplane and similar products? I made do with the built in view system in 2020, but it was IMHO far from ideal... Anyone? Russ
