Microsoft Flight Simulator (2020/2024)

I was just wondering what your thoughts were on these as a lot of them have been springing up on flightsim.to. I tried one and didn't like the effect too much, but would be interested to hear how many of you use them and how many don't I can't remember which one I tried now, but maybe some are better than others.

Before I go formal with a ticket, I thought I'd ask here. Has anyone else been unable to zoom inside the cockpit of this aircraft. I'm sure it is something that has just happened, but I can't be 100% certain. Other planes are OK, and I can also zoom in an external view, but as soon as I jump back into the VC, nadda, nothing.

I have been wanting a small, bush plane with good STOL characteristics for a while now. Although I have a couple of options available to me that I've purchased in the past, for whatever reason, I never really found myself flying them much. The visibility factor that this aircraft gives, is a major plus factor me and it has superb visibility, making it great for bush flying and for flights where you want to 'take in' the view. This was the main reason I bought the aircraft. I purchased the FlyBoy Rans S6S on Orbx for 'peanuts' (US$14.52 | €13,27 | £11.34) which for me was a 'steal.' It's my home terminal and bought FB's and I find performance is really marginal, especially since it's surrounded by a lot of nothing until you go west 20 miles to greater Denver. If you've tried FeelThere's let me know how performance and the whole project is if you will. It only has two rankings on the Market store and those are 5 star FWIW. Thanks!

Hello to all! So I yesterday I started a flight. No problem whatsoever, and all went fine. After the flight, I noted that Win 11 needed to update before closing, and it did. Today, the PC works fine, but can't start MSFS. Steam starts, and then, MSFS, because I can see on the Task maneger that it stars for some seconds, and then, nothing. Maybe the Win Update broke something? As always, I already tried to look on the Avsim forum, and maybe may bad, but didn't find the solution. Already checked the Steam check files, and no problem, the Antivirus and Firewall have the exclusion, but its like if they shut it down (or it seems like). Maybe someone who had or has …

I've been glued to A Pilot's Life w/ SLC so use airliners only for about 3y now and would like to add some purpose to flying small planes commercially as it were, preferably an app that scores my pilotage. As a airliner flyer I miss a lot of great scenery so that is in part what I'm addressing plus it's fun to fly the TBM and other lighter planes it's been a while now. Cheers

Since a few days loading of a flight (Fly Now) is extremely slow compared to time before (now approx. 5 min, before 1,5 min). Does anybody observe the same problem? Any idea how to solve this issue? Thanks for help!

Although I've been into flight simming since the late 1990's, I've never planned and completed a RTW journey. I used to be a member of some VA's that had pre-planned routes, but want to chart my own course. Can anyone recommend a flight planning aid that can help - in particular I have trouble deciding on destinations based on my a/c range so it would be great to be able to draw a 1000nm circle around any departure point to figure out my legs. Hi guys, In the Carenado aircraft the tablet enables you to configure your avionics options. In my case the TDS Sim 750/650 which in my cockpit is blank but they are on the physical RSG units. Has anybody worked out how to get the configuration saved as at present I have to enable it each and every time.

Famous flyer V Antonov AN-2. One of the messages below the video says that when he was taken for a ride, the pilot flew it slowly forward, then stopped and flew it backwards, and then forwards again. I don't know if it was because of help from the wind or what? (The message was pinned so it's the first comment message).

I have an ongoing issue with the above mentioned aircraft. I’ve been working their support channels but today support basically said, “…it works as we designed it. As intended” along with a chart of the AP panel that provided no solution. Here is the problem as I described in my ticket. Running quite a high end config RTX4090 I9-14900 and 64gb of VRAM. When I run simultaneously complex addon (aircraft and scenery) and AIGTC (ai traffic injector 60 to 100%) I start to get stutters every second and a half or so. I run MSFS at ultra except terrain LOD. anything I should change in msfs settings or nvidia control panel to address this ? (Except running AIGTC at 10%)

Just had another update for MSFS today. I guess it was an AIRAC or some generic airport alterations, but whatever it is, it would be nice if MS told us what the update was before we had to install it. Edit: My guess was correct. World hub and AIRAC - Just checked on the official site.

Hello all, I am wondering if anyone has encountered losless scaling reducing FPS? I have RTSS frame rate limited to 15, VSCYNC off and uncapped FPS everywhere else, and Loselss settings of X2, 1/2 Vsync and DXGI. In P3D, this gives me 30FPS nicely locked to my monitor. In MSFS, my FPS drop to around 8-10 or so whenever I engage losless scaling. Is there some trick to it? As the title says, I have it working with idential settings in P3D with no problems. I'm revisiting low and slow in the Vans RV10. I'm not an IRL pilot, so just learning and remembering subtle details as I go. Several times now, I need to remove a hold from a procedure or vector myself to the 2nd leg in a procedure using the 530. Seems like I can advance through waypoints using the knob but I cannot find how to delete a waypoint in the procedure, which is usually a 'hold'. Sorry, I don't have a screenshot. Any help is appreciated.

Having just purchased this aircraft - I have spawned it at several airports - on the runway - ready for take off. I am experiencing three problems 1) Cannot get the rudder to work 2) Cannot get the ailerons to work (elevators are working OK) 3) Can turn on the tablet (well the screen goes a lighter shade of grey) - but nothing to see on it. The settings on my hardware for the elevators, ailerons and rudder work fine on all other aircraft - just not this PC-12 I have looked at the manuals and checklist and cannot see how to fix these issues. Too early for any youtube tutorials, so would appreciate any help.

Hello, as the title says, I would like to know if the LVFR planes, specifically of the a320 family are possible to fly, I am from Xbox but if it were PC I would have already bought the phoenix, but that is not the case, the point is that I am asking this since this plane has many problems with the aircraft, such as the one of the TOD point, which appears erroneously and the one of the ap that the a319 leaves the route. I just started the installer, and there is an update for the A 320 with a changelog. Many fixes and improvements to the 320.

When hearing about the upcoming REX Atmos, I started to tune the filters a bit further. It's been mentioned that there's too much of a yellow tint in the sim, which I agree with. I used the colour filter and applied a tint colour of 30% and a tint intensity of 20%. I think the result is a bit better. Default (HDR): Nvidia filters (HDR): The settings that I currently use: Colour Tint colour 30% Tint intensity 20% Brightness/contrast Contrast 15% Highlights -50% Shadows -10% Details HDR toning 14% I'd be interesting to hear how other people use Nvidia filters.

which is the best way to completely pause / freeze the sim . i dont want the " semi pause " one . i want to completely freeze it and come back to exactly where i left it . i want to keep this beautiful LTFM sunset departure until i get back from dinner lol
