Microsoft Flight Simulator (2020/2024)

Something I've been trying to figure out is when you need to engage the supercharger on the Duckworks DC-3. Is there a certain altitude when this is necessary? I *thought* I had read at was 5,000ft, but I really don't know. Anyone know for sure. Or at least care to share how they use it when flying?

I mostly fly GA & business jets. I do have the Just Flight BAe 146 and will be purchasing the RJ series when available. I would like to purchase a good short range airliner for short distance flights. I enjoy SayIntentions for ATC, so now want to try FS2Crew/FlightSim first Officer to simulate the co-pilot. Maybe the Microsoft ATR72 with FS2Crew? The aircraft doesn't have to be 'study level' but I still want good systems depth without the failures. The Shorts 330/360 are a possible. I like the look of the Just flight F28, but don't really want to go back to purely radio nav aids. Maybe the Dash 7? I would appreciate some suggestions to fit ashort rang…

Just downloaded the updated FStarter24 that now has SimBrief flight plans integration to its map. Now we can load flightplans to the FStarter24 map and start a new flight at any flight plan waypoint with just a mouse click.

Looks like voice recognition will finally be a part of FSHUD. Here is a video of it in action.

Hi, Every now and then I have the problem that my flight plan and waypoints are deleted as soon as I take off. I recorded a video about it... You have to look at the navigation display... where you can still see the route... and then suddenly it disappears. I've had this problem a few times with Fenix... That's why I copy my flight plan in Sec FLP before the flight... But this is annoying and I don't understand why the problem still exists despite updates.

Is there a step by step guide on how to delete msfs As i would like to reinstall. I have uninstalled from xbox app But folders still remain. Do i delete them? Or just hit reinstall? Thanks Mike

I've really been enjoying the TBM 850 lately. A month or 2 ago, there was mention of an update coming to the 850, including an EFB (similar to the Duke) and other small enhancements, due right after FSExpo. Are these still coming or any new info?

Specifically MSFS any reason for 64GB Ram in new system? It is the only need I may have. I do no other "gaming".

I'm in central USA (North Dakota) and am getting constant "Lost Connection"/"Online Services Unavailable" popups, followed shortly by "Successfully Connected" while on a flight from KCVG to KMIA in the Fenix A321, The messages do not appear to affect the performance of the sim in any way, but they are certainly annoying. I've had a few "Lost Connections" messages in the past, but nothing to compare to this. Is anyone else experiencing this today?

I'm thinking about getting one of those ATC chatter programs that you often hear on Youtube sim videos, so I thought I'd ask here first. FS-ATC-Chatter seems to be a good one - does anyone have any experience with it ? Or is there something better? Thanks for any info.

Please help when I enter any aircraft, my viewpoint is on the floor. I use Tobii, never a problem, today on the floor. On my yoke I have up viewpoint mapped, using this I can't get above the dash. Look online and found you change it in the aircraft config file. Great, where are they? I play with steam, every location I've and tried, nothing. Could someone help, I found a state cfg.

Has anyone figured out how to turn on the tablet? Mine is dark.. Just got a reply from SWS.. the tablet is inop "for now".. so more to come..

There was a small update today to WU 18, but I can't find anywhere that says what was updated. Does anyone know? Lee

Hi all, Yesterday i installed World Update XVIII: Germany, Austria, and Switzerland. After i installed it i found out that i somehow (??!!) missed installing April 2024 City update 06: Southwest Germany. So i installed City Update 06 only after world update XVIII. Now i'm slightly worried that this is the wrong order and maybe it makes a difference for what i actually see on the ground. Anyone in the know if this matters?

Does anyone know why from a certain distance AIG AI traffic landing gears disappear? It is quite an immersion killer. Is this a MSFS LOD issue ? I have been reading here and there but it seems that some people do not really have this issue. Is there something to change in the settings or am I missing something ? thanks

After I had to install MSFS again I hoped I had gotten rid of these 2 long pauses, one shortly after take off, and the other when on approach. Long meaning 15 secs or more. It causes the Fenix AP to disengage and the plane to make very abrupt movements. In the beginning I thought it was a problem with the weather in MSFS as the weather (pressure, wind) asways seemed to change after the pause. If so, than it has to do with my region. But one can almost predict when the pause comes which makes it unlikely. It also happens when flying the PMDG aircraft, but the pauses are a bit shorter and the impact on the flight is less. Hey guys, Not sure if I missed something or something changed after I installed new 321 and updated Fenix bus. But my cockpit sound is bit off I would say. I can't hear the engines. I hear fans and everything else inside, but engine sound not even on take off. Weird I would say. Not sure if anything else I need to set, or if there is another setting that I missed. Can someone share settings or give me an idea what I did wrong..... Thanks

Hello so I'm not sure if I'm doing something wrong but in the EFB for the 737 I have the weather source set to the SIM in the settings, so that even if I set custom weather I can easily import the weather data into the EFB. However whenever I click the button to import the weather the numbers don't match what it have set in the weather menu. I would have to check if it's still importing the live weather or not as I thought if you had the source set to sim it would import the numbers you have set in the weather menu. So is there something I'm doing wrong or is this a bug? Thanks

Currently 25% off and I'm tempted...but the airliner I fly most isn't listed as supported-does that mean it won't work or just hasn't been tested yet? And is a monthly navigraph subscription required for STARS to work? I suspect the simpler fstarter might be better for my needs.

I installed this free update in the marketplace recently only to discover that it isn't comparable with MSFS (or at least not my copy of MSFS). After installing it MSFS would crash during startup everytime. It was only after I deleted this update that MSFS would startup normally again. Has anyone else had this problem? Is there a fix for it?

I just came across this and thought I'd sahre for the LOLs. I don't think I've ever seen someone having 14 minutes of Jorg's time and not even trying to make him say something even remotely new, but still titling "New Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024 Details." The interview actually has 2 minutes saying absolutely nothing new about MSFS2024 and then 12 minutes saying absolutely nothing new about the World Update and the FW200 for MSFS 2020. I tried to upload the most recent minifcu firmware but my window setting gives me alter of virus threat and does not download it. Anyone else is having the same issue? Any solution to it please?
