Microsoft Flight Simulator (2020/2024)

I didn’t see a forum on FlightSim-Studios website so I’m not sure where else to post this. On the real Boeing 727-100’s the prototype and very few production models had the deflector door “clam shell” thrust reverses as depicted in this B727-200F. However, the 727-200’s had and internal blocker door and outer fixed cascade vanes on the upper/lower nacelles (left/right on engine #2). The only way to visually know if the engines were in reverse was to look in the tail pipe to see the internal “clam shells” were closed thus deflecting the air forward thru the cascade vanes. So I fly a sports schedule as if able to do so in real life. I am currently flying the Hjet with its integrated, model specific, and enhanced WT G3000. This past ten days with the Hjet I took in MLB baseball games in Chicago, then on to Cincinnati, Ohio, for a college football game. From there to Providence, RI, for the Baltimore Ravens vs New England Patriots NFL football game last Sunday. From there to Bloomington, Indiana, for a Monday night collegiate soccer game. I don't like venting online because it really does very little and tends to trigger a lot of people. I will just say that I have spent the last few hours trying to install the UK update and the install just keeps getting stuck on a few files (microsoft airport egss is the latest). I have deleted those files, restarted FS, my PC, etc. and I am just not getting anywhere. I really do not understand why Asobo / MS cannot include a decent installation program with this project. It really does appear to be unique to MSFS, as none of the other programs I use have this problem. If I am unable to get this sorted out today I think I am just going to move on. Do not want to start a dilemma, flight, etc. Legit question: I have ton invested in MSFS and did a lot in X-plane but just could not take the graphics etc. For the hell of I fired it up and updated tonight. It is better than I remember but the blurry numbers and text unless zoomed in are annoying. At dusk, dawn, and night I really enjoyed it. I miss the road and sea traffic along with the airport vehicles and trains. I know there are add on coming for MSFS. Just wondering does anyone know if we will be able to use traffic in MSFS 2024? So in this interview, Seb talks about how it's not that difficult to add a new graphical feature, but it's very hard to make sure MSFS performs equally, or better, than before the new graphical feature was added. Pretty much, what Seb says is that Asobo spends a lot of time on optimization and making the code run faster, when they add a new graphical feature. While Seb doesn't assign percentages on the time spent on optimization and the time spend on adding a new graphical feature, I would guess when Asobo adds a new graphical feature, they probably spend 10% or 20% of their time adding the new graphical feature, and 80% or 90% of their time on optimization (just a guess …

Purchased the E-19X from the Marketplace via Steam. Everything was working like a champ until the plane loaded and wanted the "Serial Key" for activation. I normally do not have an issue with marketplace purchases, but this one is ticking me off. Osobo Microsoft 2020 does not provide receipts if purchased through Steam, when you look at my Steam receipt it shows MSFS 2020 but not the specifics of the purchase. I tried going to my Microsoft account but northing show up there! Anyone else have an idea of what to do except never buying another product throught the marketplace?

I just got myself a copy of this, and am regretting it already. As some of you may be aware I'm not big on the whole piloting thing, and all I really want to do with this is the same as all my other aircraft - for any actual flights (rather than pure screenshot stuff at an airport) I just want to be able to hot start on a runway, hit the gas and go. I can do this quite successfully with pretty much any other aircraft in MSFS, up to and including the likes of PMDG and the FSS 727. But not, apparently, this beast. Chuck is a BIG name in combat sim for creating incredibly well written and helpful guides for even the most complex aircraft, but before he caught the combat sim bug he wrote a series of guides for P3D and X-Plane aircraft including the B777. All of a sudden, on some of my AC, to name a couple my Black Square TBM and my Maddog, I can't get fuel flow. On the TBM I can't move the fuel selector manually off of "Off" and when I try "Auto Start" it will come off of "Off" but then flips right back to it. Is there some sort of "Auto Assist Fuel Selection" which could be causing this?

I am currently having an issue with all aircraft except PMDG and Fenix. All other aircraft including A2A Comanche and the Aerosoft CRJ are effected. The issue is that all the external lights from the taxi light, landing lights, even logo light.. Do not illuminate outwards as they used to. You can see them on when you switch to the external views but they do not illuminate the area in front of them. I do not have any lighting or effects mods, haven't changed any config files.. I've recently started experiencing a weird issue where at the start of the flight, during the flightdeck prep I can see a lot of AI pushing back and taxiing to assigned runways. At the same time, all of my click sounds + other sounds in the PMDG's 738 are going away, the interface menus also. I restart traffic and everything is coming back to normal. Assuming it's FSLTL spamming the Simconnect with messages that it's causing some weirdness? Anyone else? I'm not all too worried about this because there's a workaround and BATC is on the verge of handing off the version with functioning traffic to the experimental branch, so I'm pretty pumped about that.

Hi all, updated to the latest Nvidia driver 8.1 . i also updated to the latest AMD Chipset for AM5 x670E , is anyone else getting crazy temp spikes with FG turned on in the sim ? almost thermo throttling. if i turn FG off mid 50's Celsius and smooth as you like ,bit weird ? strange but good thing is i guess is that, with FG turned off now and any frame limiter or Vsync also turned off , aim getting a wonderful smooth experience with this VRR and LLM gsync compatible TV for the first time , go figure ?? Maybe its time to park FG ! for now

Has anyone looked at the "Amperometer" in this panel? The more load I add, the more the reading decreases.. Does not look right to me, but maybe I am confused.. 🙂

This strikes me as potentially troublesome to disastrous, but I don't know. What's happening is I have two intact installs of MSFS: one on my former PC w/ Win 10, and the other on my more recent build in Win 11. I wish to completely remove the old install and looking for guidance from someone who did this w/o untoward consequences. Hopefully it's just a case of running the uninstall on the old box with the new box turned off, or something along those lines.

Hi, Just want to know if someone is having this issue too. First load OK... fly from point A to point B... everything is fine... then I end the flight, switch aircraft and boom! the model is corrupted (AI traffic too)... The scenery is fine, no artifacts... I have latest Nvidia driver but this is happening before installing latest driver.
