Microsoft Flight Simulator (2020/2024)

There are some rumors started, that MSFS will be on Playstations platforms..... what do you think?

I'm trying to setup FSLTL with a flightplandatabase key but I see that the site is down or having problems, so I can't register or get a key. I understand that without this, the planes will fly from point A to B in a straight line without any reality. Do you know if this site Flightplandatabase.com no longer exists or if it is occasionally down or if there is some other way to have more realistic flights with FSLTL?

This concerns GA (for me, but I guess feel free to explain for airliners as well) - When should pushback occur? Should I do it before engine startup? It seems in real life, with a prop plane that would be dangerous. But it also seems that sitting on the apron blocks traffic while I'm going thru my checklist.

Is there a chart/diagram that I can download that illustrates the visual approach procedure for landing on runway 16 at LGMK Mykonos?

First post, hello! I'm trying to learn airliner flights with realistic procedures. My initial idea was to save the flight at different phases, so I could come back to repeat different flows without having to start from the ground every time. What I didn't take into account is that MSFS saves tend to be quite a mess once the airplane leaves the ground, with issues such as resetting FMCs, nosedives and weird autopilot behavior. This is quite tedious and makes me not want to use saves for anything that takes place during flight. Hello, I got an email today from mamudesign offering me a discount on their products as someone who had previously donated. http://mamudesign.eu This is the dev who created the excellent powerlines and solar farms, marinas, and ski lifts addon. I didn’t realize they had gone payware and I’m still using their freeware versions…I couldn’t find anything on their website to explain what is new or better with the version they are selling, can anyone provide any insight?

Nothing changed, I just hooked up the Tobii eye tracker that's been in storage. Now, 3rd party planes won't load into flight. The sim loads up just fine, I can select an airport/gate on the world map, but then when selecting fly, it'll load all the way to 100% (the percentage shows because of Stripr) but will not initiate the flight. I've tried all PMDG planes, the Fenix, and Black Square stuff, but the flight won't load. If I select a default plane, it appears to work just fine. If anyone has a solution, I'd be very grateful.

flying along from bogata to quito right now and realized my terrain looks pretty poor. I see I had uninstalled south america mesh. What's the latest? Is it fully compatible with current msfs or does it cause issues.

So SU16 has been shelved for a while, WU 18 (Germany, Austria & Switzerland) looks exciting and scheduled for September and WU 19 is Brazil (a lot of us have been looking forward to that one) scheduled for December. Is anyone using it? I just got it yesterday and it doesn't seem to read runways from the encrypted airports purchased through the marketplace? Is that accurate or did I just come across one of them (FSDT's ORD) that it wasn't reading it?

I got the FSS 727 as I enjoy the older generation aircraft. I like it, but may need for it to mature a bit to really get into it. My question is, is the MD-82 a deeper systems simulation than the 727? Keep in mind I’m not trying to compare the 727 to a md80, just looking to see which developer has the most robust systems simulation. If I end up getting the md80, I suspect I will still enjoy both aircraft.

Hello to everyone! I’ve been using FShud with FSLTL on every flight, since I bought it, and for me, it's a "must have" combination. But I have some doubts about the interaction FShud+FSLTL+AIG. When using FSLTL without FShud, we have an option to use the AIG planes only (and not the flighplans), with the live traffic flightplans, but when using it along with FShud, I´m not sure if that mix works. I mean, I know FShud have a option to use AIG and FSLTL (external), but when cheked both options, is it like when I use only FSLTL traffic with FSLTL + AIG planes (only) and live traffic flightplans, or, FSLTL flightplans along with AIG flightplans? "Double" flightplans?…

Hi, I think its worth a note or two that SayIntentions now has a "HowTo"-Series on their youtube channel. It´s also worth mentioning that during the last couple of weeks many features like IFR-Approaches including STAR-(via)-Arrivals have got a nice overhaul so that you can have nice gate-to-gate-experience (yes - I said gates - including gate assignment for airlines) with SayIntentions now. I was looking at some pictures of an airworthy North American B-25 this morning. It struck me that here's a very well known and much loved aircraft that's conspicuous by its absence in MSFS. Which others do you think would be obvious aircraft to have, but strangely are missing from the sim ? 1) Lockheed L100 ...non-miltary flight sim, non-miltary Hercules, thank you. 2) Dehavilland Comet ...the first jet airliner. Surely a famous flier, no ? The 4C will do. 3) IL-76...ubiquitous in reality; yet nowhere to be seen in sims. My favourite jet transporter. 4) ShinMaywa US-2...interesting, fast, amphibious go-anywhere , so perfect for MSFS. Completely ignore…

I rarely hear my GPU fan except sometimes approaching detailed airports and dense photo scenery and when I pause the sim using escape, I never hear it, but when I minimise to the taskbar in its paused state, the GPU fan goes like the clappers. When i go back into windowed or full screen, the GPU fan stops. I do have the low power setting enabled to stop animations in the menu. I just can't understand why the GPU fan goes at full pelt when the program is minimised. any thoughts?

I have lost the internet inside my home. It will be several days before new cable can be installed inside the house. I tried to play offline but can't figure out how to do that. It says I have to be online to set it up for that. Anyone know a way around that. All I have is data on my cell phone. Thanks
