Recommended ram size of 64Gig being higher than the HDD size of 30Gigs??!! This game being so heavily dependent on your internet connection and internet speed its very worrisome. It is nearly a remote streamed game. One can control their hardware specs and have nearly unlimited hard drive space but ones internet not controllable in most areas. They better have a solid cache mode in play. Has any site mentioned this at all?

Curious about what’s in the SDK. Seeing various topics about what’s in the sim, what’s planned, and what’s unknown, I’m curious about what 3rd party devs will have the ability to create. Considering, most “hardcore simmers” have their fair share of addons, I don’t see either the pay are or freeware markets slowing down. I’m imagining more nuanced weather phenomena (dust devils, tornados, sleet, braking action with visuals, reactive de-icing & anti-icing), deeper pre/postflight interaction (walking through terminals, FBOs, hangars), in-sim base building (bush cabins & makeshift landing strips), multiplayer enhancements (avitar interactions, shared cockpit…

Based on the video below, there seems to be a glitch in how core parking is handled by Windows scheduler and the AMD chipset drivers. This might result in decreased performance in the sim. There’s a couple of easy fixes though: enter the BIOS and change CPPC from auto to driver uninstall AMD chipset drivers using Revo Uninstaller (to get rid of everything), then reinstall It might also be necessary to remove any positive frequency offset in the BIOS, as this might mess with core parking. Instead, use PBO / curve optimizer. Also make sure that: BIOS is up to date Windows is up to date latest AMD chipset drivers latest Xbox…

this is really getting confusing. Many people like myself will still be flying fs 2020 for at least the next 6 months, we definitely need to separate the 2 simulators in this forum

With this forum being overrun with a dozen topics about MSFS2024 isn't it time for a dedicated forum? 😊

To those in charge; This has already been mentioned, but 2020 and 2024 really need separate threads. Mainly because it's going to be really hard to find 2020 posts among all of the 2024 chatter and there will be users who stay with 2020 even once 2024 is released. Keeping them together is similar to having FSX and P3D in the same forum Thanks..

One thing I have not seen mentioned about FS2024 is if it will contain a simple Free Flight option in FS2024. Looking at all the videos FS2024 looks amazing and it has a lot of features like career mode and the ability to walk around your aircraft. That is cool and all and I will tinker with it on occasion but most of the time I will just want to hop in a plane and fly. I am sure it will have this option but have not heard it in the raw yet!

A somewhat overlooked Cambridgeshire airfield. If you have Chicomick's freeware Duxford, Fowlmere is the perfect companion. https://burningbluedesign.com/product/fowlmere-airfield/

We have seen few weather details, but I wonder whether the atmosphere and precipitation in MSFS2024 reacts to temperature and other factors. Does rain turn into hail or snow when temperature drops (also when manually changing temperature); does surface water turn into ice and melt? I would really love to see snow dynamically accumulating and melting; a wish that I have had said since day 1 of MSFS2020. The snow coverage option is too limiting, as I like to see snow actually accumulating and even driftingb in the wind. Does the atmosphere look different on cold wintery days compared to hot summer days? It would really ad to the immersion if this were the case. I am a…

This has been requested so many times by those coming from FSX/P3D but I haven't heard a word for MSFS 2024. Anyone read/hear anything?

I am using a 1TB (M.2) hard drive for MSFS. My question is whether most simmers will keep both MSFS 2020 and MSFS 2024 on their computers OR will you completely erase MSFS 2020 and use MSFS 2024 exclusively? Is there a plan to save 2020 for some particular reason? I was going to simply buy the Premium Deluxe Version (I just bought it "pre-sale" today!) but totally UNINSTALL 2020 before I put 2024 on a clean SSD. What possible advantages or important reasons would there be for keeping both versions on your computer? What's the general thinking about this transition? Stan

Has anyone used FSiPanel this evening? I used it just fine for a couple of landing approaches in the PMDG 737-600. Then a message to update to version 1.0.0.109 appeared, so I installed the update. Since then, FSiPanel has stopped working properly. When I select MOVE after setting up an approach, nothing happens. There was one time where it did get up into the air, but the process was incredibly slow, and it did not seem to be initialising properly. I uninstalled and reinstalled (including the update) to see if that would solve the problem. No luck. I uninstalled and tried to avoid installing the update, but the SKIP option is greyed out. No luck. I have se…

Hey all, I’ve just picked up a 7900XTX for a reasonable price and upgraded from a 3080 10 Gig. On the 3080, I found DX11 to work well and never bothered to try get my DX12 to work well. I tried DX12 now with the 7900XTX and although the FPS is high at 1440P, I feel like there are what feels like stutters and motion isn’t smooth. I don’t mind going back to DX11 but thought it worthwhile to get some tips from the room on how they are running AMD cards in MSFS as in my research of buying the card I saw many seemed to believe DX12 was the best.

I know this is the third scenery for LSGG, but finally a super good one at the level of the top best MSFS scenery designers. This was my home airport for years, so I will be happy to ditch the (relatively good) rendition by Red Wing to... get back to the future of my past flying years. Here you go for the previews before entering the beta testing: https://fselite.net/content/jetstream-designs-shares-geneva-previews-ahead-of-release/
