I am in MSFS 2024 Settings and just want to go back to the prior window - the only two options I find are SAVE and BACK or RESET to DEFAULT I do not want to save the changes I made and am not sure what the values were before I made the changes - what do I do? 2020 had a button that said CANCEL and the window would close while making no changes and not saving anything. Is there a cancel or cancel like function I am missing?

PDMG B737 800 appears at 2024 between all aircraft (I got it at the 2020 MarketPlace, so, it comes from there) It loads but nothing works. Has anybody try it ?

We all know Got Gravel and Got Friends, now with their STOL-ultimate PZL Wilga. Go anywhere (slowly), land anywhere, roll out your hammock and strum the guitar and take in the incredible detail that is the virtual Wilga. Read about it here on the Got Friends website. It's been well received and flies like you'd expect it to fly. A great addition for us low-and-slow flyers. 👏 I'm borrowing this amazing screenshot from @sd_flyer and starting a well-deserved dedicated discussiion thanks to the suggestion by @St Mawgan. ... now lets convince them to build a decent C185. 😎

You all probably know me better for being critic about pretty much every flight simulation platform I use, since FS4 🙂 so, don't expect anything changed on that front... FS 2020 had been long (months) uninstalled from my rig, and I've been busy using Condorsoaring v2 and now v3... so the day FS 2024 was released I started trying to install it ... Took 3 days before I was finally able to start a session. In the meanwhile I kept polling the AVSIM forum, and youtube, for all references from other users which had already been able to test specific aircraft and features of this new sim, and prepared myself to adopt a rather open-minded approach to it. The last 3 days…

Hello Gang! I was one of the users initially affected by the installation gremlins. Eventually I got past all that and was able to get the sim installed and running. I have a 2.5gb internet connection both on download and upload so streaming is a non issue for me. The biggest challenge I immediately faced was the controls setup process. I just cannot understand why something that should be so straight-forward has to be so incredibly cumbersome and difficult. I still don't have my controls properly set but was at least able to get to the point of being able to takeoff and land. A couple of positive observations I immediately realized: 1. The ground dynamics…

After my Navigraph hub was updated to the latest version, I installed the Navigraph and Simbrief apps via this hub into FS2024. Unfortunately I cannot get either of them to work or show up in FS2024. Can somebody enlighten me please on how to get these two active in the simulator? No doubt I have been doing something wrong again or didn't see the obvious icons or whatever 🙂 Thanks for any help

Anyone remember this FSX promo pic? Well, I found an original location in 2024, took a screenshot with a Beaver, and did a comparison. So, how much FS improved over the years? It's mindblowing, right? Also, take into consideration that FSX promo pic was an edited screenshot with bunch of other added details. It is an artist impression of how we wanted FSX to look like. It's not something you'll be noticing too often but MSFS2024 really does one thing right: the installation. Of course most people have a different experience during the initial release but that all had to do with the servers. But MSFS2024 is a HUGE improvement when it comes to this. Two weeks or so ago I reinstalled Windows 11 and also MSFS2020. Installing MSFS2020 took around 2.5 to 3 HOURS. Installing various World updates (I didn't bother with any other updates) took another HOUR. I think installing MSFS2020 took around 3.5 to 4 HOURS all in all. Yesterday I reinstalled Windows 11 again and this time also MSFS2024. Installing MSFS2024 took a FEW MINUTES.…

Amazon delivered a new joystick yesterday and I've been going through the Head Scratching exercise to make it work. For some reason the throttle axis works in reverse on 2024 ( although never smoothly ) I asked Turtlebeach Discord for help but at this stage they suggest waiting for MS bug fixes. A suggestion on Reddit is that it's impossible to set up right now. Just wondering if any of you guys have found the secret recipe ; it's fine with MSFS 2020.

I have been reading everything I can find on binding. I have a simple request. I want to bind button 3 to toggle cockpit/external views for all aircraft. Sometimes it doesn't work at all. Others button 3 will toggle to external view. But will not toggle back to cockpit view. I know that keyboard BACKSPACE will do this with no problem. Please be specific in your response. Step 1 Step 2 etc. Thank You Bill McCracken

Did everyone know that you have to make your changes then restart the sim to disable/enable photogrammetry, or was I the only one who didn't get the memo?

Well in the wake of this disaster, it would seem that 2 forums 2020 and 2024 would have helped out. I did not understand that decision. Sorry not piling on but dang what a bad decision. IMO

Hi I have been pretty lucky with my experience so far, downloading the software was easy and no streaming issue. The fast loading time (both to start MSFS and to launch a flight) is very appreciated. Might be worse when the Community folder get some add-ons. On a more negative note, not a big fan of the mandatory walk-around before jumping in the cockpit though. This should be optional imho. But back to the opening title. I have tried to load a flight above or close to Venice in Italy - the simulator is stuck for whatever reason. It does it in free flight, when trying to depart from LIPZ or LIPV (but not LIPX or LIPH) and also when trying to launch an activity.…

Can't remember reading anything about the use of and best size for the cache in MSFS20204. Anyone knows if someone already tested this? The cache default to 16GB: is that because it's a good size or because MS Asobo didn't want to fill up drives without asking?

The Settings > Controls menu shows you all your attached devices on the left. Important to remember is that every device has THREE control configs! 1. General controls 2. Airplanes controls 3. Specific <aircraft> controls More about this later on. In the middle you will see Categories: very convenient if you are looking for specific controls. You can of course use Search but that will usually result in multiple entries and it may not be easy to figure out which one you need. Whenever you see a list of controls in the middle section you can always press Esc to get back to the Categories, regardless of how you got there. To the right of …

Hello, It's so strange. I have FPS on 60 max in Nvidia Panel. When I start a flight and all is loaded it's 60FPS stable !!! But every time I move the view, especially outside the plane and pan around the plane and/or zoom in and out when the plane is in sight it always drops back to 15 FPS or less with EVERY change of view. I tried everything but it happens every time. Anyone experiences this ?

Can someone please try to depart from LEBB (Bilbao, Spain) with the A330 from a gate. I tried this several times and ALWAYS a CTD after clicking on the yellow “Start Flight” button. LEBB is one of the new handcrafted airports.
