Does anyone successfully calibrate their TCA thrust reverser on all IniBuilds planes on MSFS2024? calibration via EFB seems fine but reverser levers don't response?

I thought they had gotten much newer and up to date aerial imagery for FS2024. Checking out NYC i noticed that an entire outlet mall that started construction 10 years ago and was complete at least 5 years ago is still the parking lot that was there before they ever broke ground. It's a pretty big mall, visible from NY harbor. My own home in NYC is also at least 10 years out of date. This is likely the same imagery from FS2020, at least in the NYC area. Anyone out there notice newer better PG areas?

Greetings! I recently installed MSFS 2020 on a new computer. Everything is going well, except the default ATC voice volume is so low that I can barely hear it. All the other sounds are fine, and I am not having this issue in any other simulations that I use. I have checked and re-checked all of my settings in MSFS and on the computer. Anyone have any ideas? Regards, Scott

In prior FS versions there is a xml file that starts and shuts down addons. Is that still a thing in MSFS2024? If so, where does that file live in a default install.

Hi, everybody, I thought it was a patch: I went this morning to my Xbox Library and I saw the cloud with the arrow in the MS2024 indicated there was something to download. I selected and executed, and the size was 50 GB! Well, as the MS2024 is installed, that was just an instant. Result? No sound in the cockpit (but sound from the exterior), aircraft that didn't move with full throttle, and some of my controls settings reverted partially (but totally the keyboard!). I went two more times to the library. The second time it was the same as the first: a fast install over my MS2024 install. The third visit: the same install prepared in XBox, but this …

Oh my... even though I didn't qualify for a refund because of Steam's 2 hour playtime rule (I 'played' the game over 7 hours) I got a refund for the Premium Deluxe edition...! All 140 euro's of it! Clearly Steam is VERY aware of the problems MSFS2024 is having and is way more easy with refunding than usual. You could say this is really bad news for MS Asobo... Anyway, I am happy with the refund. I may buy MSFS2024 again when the inital problems are solved and it'll be the Standard edition this time for sure... I totally lost my excitement for MSFS2024 and Standard will do fine. In time.

Hi, does anyone have experience with using the iphone as an external FMC/MCDU for the Fenix or PMDG aircraft? Does that even work (I think it run over the browser) and is the screensize enough so it's fun to use it as an FMC/MCDU?

I've watched a dozen videos on YouTube trying to get a better understanding of how to use the new controller interface. I messed up my configurations so bad I had to use the Command Prompt "-DeleteCloudSaves" to clear out my cloud saves 2024 so I could start from scratch. I've watched a few popular Youtubers and they are struggling with it. I would be nice if the MS Community Managers would put out a instructional videos. If you know of a great instructional video, please share for those of us who are trying to grasp the proper way to use it. On a side note, who was the genius who decided to remap all the keyboard command in 2024. I'm using the 2020 option for now b…

Including SimBrief support (direct import of plan) and Navigraph support (charts on the screens) so that's good news for the (near) future. 🙂 Of course MSFS2024 has a default Vision Jet (the same one) with a few added feautures but it imho it has more missing features (like no tablet with for instance noise cancelling). You also aren't forced to do the walk around to remove chocks and covers with the payware version.

So there you are doing the walk around or sitting in the cockpit and you wonder: how do I change the payload...? There is no entry for that in the top dropdown menu like there was in MSFS202! Here is how. Open the EFB (press Tab by default). Click on the Aircraft icon at the bottom. Click on Flight performances. Click on the cog wheel in the Mass and balance section. Here you can set Seats, Cargo, Fuel and Empty (cg). For seats: click on one of the available dots (representing available seats) and enter the weight of the person. Make sure to note what's the pilot seat because you are not facing north! When done click on LOAD IN AIRCRAFT.…

Heres a video of MSFS2024 starting up on my computer on day two of launch at around 4pm EST US. I speed up the video to 200% and there is a timer on my cellphone at the bottom of the screen. If this is on day two and load times could possibly be even faster as their servers get smoothed out, I will say I really like the new load time. I get to the main screen in about 1min and 49 secs. Pause it while I decide where to start and then restart the timer which brings me to just over two minutes on the sims workload side of things.

Has anyone figured out how to get rid of the visual aids in career mode? I turned them off in the main settings and that works for free flight but I still get the annoying fly through boxes and taxiway arrows in career mode. I thought at first I had to complete training for them to go away but they still show up for every flight after getting my ppl and commercial

Anyone else having problems getting the G3000 map to show North up? In the G3000 settings North up is tied to a certain zoom but it will only show North up when the zoom is at least 100nm (or even higher). That's way too high. In 2020 I could enable North up regardless of the zoom. I am not a fan of a map showing Heading up... Anyway to solve this?

https://www.icloud.com/photos/#/icloudlinks/059xDClz73CgCHGeF9J8wU8fw/0/ Every single time: Around 2:15 or 2:20 to main menu, and then another 1:30 - 2 min to get into the plane aafter clicking Fly Now. Much faster than 2020. And the best part is how fast it is to change planes - you can end the flight, be back in the main menu, and be right back flying in under 5 min. Which is awesome!

I did some helicopter flying in MSFS 2024 yesterday, and I was pretty impressed with what I saw, certainly from the scenery perspective. In one of the previews, they talked about how many helipads they had added to MSFS 2024, and it looks like they weren't kidding. I did a flight around my local area, and it looks like just about every hospital helipad is present. These also show up on the "start flight" screen if you select a helicopter as the aircraft type. The scenery looks great from typical helicopter altitudes of a few hundred feet up. When landing, especially outside an airport or helipad, the ground detail makes it easier to judge just how high up you ar…

for those not agreeing where MS places your community folder (which is C-Drive) and also don't want to fiddle with file tools, there is an ingame option in your library settings (that settings icon top right) to set your desired folder

I know PMDG released a statement today regarding its issues with FS2024 and in another topic in this forum. Curious what inibuilds, Fenix and some others might be thinking? Especially in regards to "All Future Aircraft" will be made for FS2024! Here is my thinking and only my opinion but I am thinking it will be a long time before FS2024 is truly a great sim. At first i was like "So What" that the A350 will be for FS2024 only. Now after this travesty of a release I am now deeply disappointed and will likely not be purchasing it. I would however purchase it if it was made for FS2020. I feel at this time it is a better strategy for a developer to release for FS20…

Watched a video this morning where someone immediately visited their home town in the sim. In this case it was Sacramento. One thing he immediately noted was that a shopping mall that was demolished 10 years ago was still there on the map and in the sim. I know that Bing maps for different areas of the world will most likely vary in age from region to region but I was wondering if anyone had noticed any evidence of more recent maps being used?
