Let me first say I feel for Jorg and the rest for what must be a miserable time in their lives. I had some initial euphoria using FS2024 after the first few days, as it actually kind of worked once the servers started working, but the more I use it the more I realize it is so full of bugs that this is going to be a long slog. I can only imagine the dread they feel as they open their browsers every morning to see yet more vitriol on the forums here and at the official site. For anyone interested, there's a new graphics driver for Nvidia cards. Also support for MSFS2024 in the gForce application is now a thing.

I just changed from 16 GB to 700 GB. But I had no real performance problems to start with. Anyway, in the Dev Stream they mentioned more than once that using a large cache would help cure performance and instability. I think it may prove out that a larger main drive, or having two if the MB permits, will prove a better upgrade than more RAM. You don't need the latest spec expensive main drive. The cheaper, older spec versions work fine. And then make a 1 TB cache or larger. Something like Tom's Hardware have detailed tests to show you which are the bargains.

So, I decided to run a test at LIMC this morning i witnessed just 2 departures and 2 arrivals for the duration of 60 min with AI density set to 10. I have full set of AIG models installed that perfectly works with PSXT, so I don't think it's matching issue. Any ideas?

Trying to map the Caravan. I create a copy of the default controls and then edit my Bravo Quadrant for mixture. First I DELETE every existing control and start from scratch. The mixture control has a mind of its own. I make sure the keyboard, mouse and joystick have NO control assigned to Mixture. I then assign a mixture lever and it moves. But when I move it, it snaps back to zero. To double check I run through every single controller: Mouse, Keyboard, Joystick have no controls assigned to mixture. MSFS2020 1.38.2 KLAX (just now) runway / PAPI lights in the sky.

I know there are a lot of issues just now with MSFS20204 but I wasn't prepared for how bad it was. Decided to do a proper full flight in VR in 2024 using a known short route between Dundee and Edinburgh. Things started off okay but only 5 mins into the flight I noticed the ground textures start to fall away and be quite low resolution. I hadn't noticed at first but the landscape seemed quite bare and I wasn't noticing much in the way of trees and buildings. About half way through the flight, the ground texture was exactly that, just a single large blurry mess of colour, I don't just mean low resolution, I mean no resolution or detail at all. I remember in one of the streams Seb was asked about helipads in MSFS2020 specifically when you start from helipad your engines are running! He replied something like he didn't know about that but I it would take to change one line of code to fix in. Now, fast forward to MSFS2024 Seb who supposedly enjoyed testing helicopter either forgot and ignored long standing bug. Like my math professor used to say when students wouldn't turn in easy but optional assignments - "LAZY!" LOL

Since these aircraft are streamed, we do not have access to the files, however.. I made some mods to the Carenado Seminole in 2020. I preselected the GTN and I changed the code for the three way AP switch, so that it would follow AP on/off commands when triggered by a button on my yoke. To my great surprise, these mods work in 2024 also.. I wonder if other favorite mods can be applied as well.. Now, this only works for aircraft that you own in 2020.. but it is a start!

I made a VFR flightplan using the web based flight planner. I then started a Free flight in a C172 G1000. I loaded the flight plan to the avionics and if I click the FPL button I can see the flightplan text. But when I turn on the autopilot it does not follow the loaded flight plan. I feel confident that there is something in the concept that I've missed and I'm not doing it correctly. But regardless, I am asking for help in understanding how to get the G1000 autopilot to follow the loaded flight plan. Thanks

In the PC-24 NGX various switches don't seem to be working at all. And I can't get the PC-12 NGX to start up at all. Anyone had any luck getting these two planes to start from cold and dark?

Anyone have recommended sensitivity settings to share? I am particularly interested in the rudders (on the joystick not the pedals). I don't understand the difference between the + and - sensitivity settings.

I am patiently awaiting the new SWS RV-8 (also the 10 and 14) with the updated G3X from workingtitle. I really hope people start to fly them again (and buy the RV8 as it will have analog and glass!) Since today i can't toggle nameplates on/off anymore. Tried other keybinding but nothing works. Didn,t put anything in my community folder since yesterday

So, I haven't been entirely successful in moving MSFS 2020 sceneries into MSFS 2024 which has prompted a few questions: 1. Can it be done, and--is it as simple as moving the sceneries from the old Community folder into the new Community folder? Here is the location of my MSFS 2024 Community folder; C:\Users\Owner\AppData\Roaming\Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024\Packages\Community I tried moving Kahului which is four separate sceneries into my new Community folder, but it doesn't indicate any change on the MS map (for creating flights) and when I go to the airport (PHOG) the scenery clearly isn't there.

I have tried everything but MSFS is stuck on the load screen. I am near Washington DC. Are you aware of any server issues?

Ho to get the program make itself accept a rolling cache greater than 0? Now it won't do it. Either the directory is invalid I choose (which it's not) or it's an invalid size I enter... but the in game menus won't get it to build a new cache
