Microsoft Flight Simulator (2020/2024)

We have the Longitude, the CJ4, and two versions of the Cirrus Vision Jet. Well, we had those in MSFS 2020 already. They fly nice. But getting a little long in the tooth. Oh, I forgot, we now have the non-functional Pilatus PC-24. Or am I missing some hidden Embraer Phenom, Citation X, or some Challenger jet somewhere?

This airport taxi's night lighting could use improvement. This picture was taken at JFK 31R; my iPhone is quite old, but it is clear that they are still far from what we should see. This was right at 1,000 FT RA.

Since I can’t get the Trim Wheel on the Bravo to work in FS2024 and the Keyboard keys don’t work for me either. So I must be doing something wrong. RIGHT? So how do you trim in FS2024 Thank You Bill McCracken

Hi, is anyone experiencing being stuck at checking for updates stage? It’s msfs2020. Never had this issue. The only way for me to get in was to unplug internet cable and then click offline and connected again it while login in. It worked, but is this necessary now? Tom

Hi all After jesterdays MS-patch, the newest version of FSUIPC7 and the actual version of the Fenix A320, I am very happy for me with the msfs2024. No CDT, good frame rates and no stutters. Addon sceneries only LSZH from MK-Studios and LSGG from Jetsrteam. My flights are prepared via SimBrief and I am only flying the Fenix A320. MSFS2020 is still installed beside the new. The only thing missing for me in the 2024 is a good AI-traffic with a injector and good liveries as I used them in MSFS2020 with the FSLTL injector and their liveries. Does anybody has a solution? For the last few days (before updating to 1.2.7.0), all the AIG models in my massive 60GB+ AIG folder appear in the aircraft selection menu. I'll post this here in case anyone at Avsim has experienced this issue. I haven't checked the AIG discord yet.

Hello, I can remember that when starting MSFS2024 the activation of the packages took very very very long. Others where loading the sum within minutes. For many users this was solved by syncing the PC clock. Also for me the loading time was within minutes. And now we have users with comparable software and hardware and fast internet connection where we see butter smooth versus stutter festival. So why are there so many performance differences between users with almost the same PC specs?? Maybe there is something else going on (like the sync time issue with activation packages) Example. I know some of you may find it difficult to believe, but I have never had a CTD in 2020 in the four years of flying....until today! Having read other guys posting similar experiences in 2020 over the past few weeks, I thought I'd share my experience. No new addons, no 2024 installed, soooo....?

Still a stutter SIM even worse with the last update. That cloud gaming is not for me I guess Switching from cockpit to outside view and back is a spike of 500mbps every time and a drop from 60FPS tot 12FPS. How can a game like this depend on so much streaming ??? Even with 1 Gbps fiber it's not doable at all. Much more streaming then MSFS2020 (which runs superb)

Can anybody else confirm for me that the Diamond DA40 NG in 2024 is considerably worse than the 2020 version? While I appreciate the ability to open the canopy and the new features, the 2024 version flies quite differently than the 2020 version and seems to have things that just don't seem correct. 1. The airplane, as it has no propeller control, should not be redlining the propeller rpm when full power is applied. I thought that was the whole point of the FADEC? The prop rpm in the MFD is constantly blinking red for prop overspeed. 2. The plane feels a heck of a lot less stable in flight than the 2020 version. I am not a real-world pilot, but I can't imagi…

Hi there, is there a way to disable water reflections alltogether in FS2024 - or at least for open ocean? While it does look realistic on small lakes and rivers in FS2024, there is no such thing on bigger water bodies - at least it is super super rare in reallife. I'm living in NZ for many years now and I think I have never seen any reflections from the mountains across our view .. Ever since the first flightsimulator from Microsoft we have asked for more, more and more performance improvements. Some tweak configfiles more than flying. And when we finally give up and sign our eye-watering payment plan for the latest and greatest from Nvidia, Microsofts ups the game and a new flightsim is there. Prettier but slower than ever before. That is just the way of things. BUT with FS2024 I just can't understand what happened when they decided to stream the game? What on earth is going on? I mean, I remember the total pain when FS2020 was released. Downloading it took days so at least then the tech was far from ready. And after reading comments here and …

Hi all, I'm wondering if anybody knows if any addon maker plans to bring the Piper Pacer/TriPacer family to our sim(s) in a close future ? Back in FSX/P3D days, I had bought the famous pack of Piper Pacers (triPacer?) from Lionheart if I remember correctly. These were very fine models but I didn't fly them much, for the simple reason that the low&slow was not really enjoyable for me in these old sims. However, since MSFS2020 (and soon MSFS2024, once they fix the VR), this has changed drastically and low&slow became my main interest. Hi, My homecockpit is finally working at 98% with msfs24 so now i would like to adjust the view to get rid of the virtual cockpit, i saw a "homecockpit mod" in the setting but it seems that it is not working Any advices on how i could setup the best view for this setup ? I tried to move forward till the shield is align but it feel very weird when flying especially during take off and landing Thanks

So after a week of troublefree operation, I now am back to where I started 2 weeks ago. I was able to use FSLTL base to fly on VATSIM, FSUIPC installed properly so I could use ACARS flying for my VA. My Blacksquare Taxiways worked fine. Was even able to add on a couple of LatinVFR airports. All of these were in the Community folder and have worked ok for the last week. Logged on this morning to find it needed to update, and it did. Logged back on to fly and it crashed as soon as i pressed start to fly. Also noticed my weather and graphics settings changed. I just installed VHHH by WF Scenery Studio and I'm getting green boxes all over the place. Did I accidently turn something on in DEV Mode?

In the aircraft list for MSFS 24' there's a HU-16B/G111 by Amphibian Aerospace listed, shows a pic of the classic 60's Grumman HU-16B Albatross, but text says modern Amphibian Aerospace, will 24' have the classic and modern versions ?

HiFiSim has released an open beta (v9090) of ASFS that is both MSFS2020 and MSFS2024 compatible. Now available on the downloads page on their site.

The premium airports were supposed to be upgraded for 2024. Not just made compatible, but I recall Jorg saying Gaya was going to make significant upgrades. I don’t have 2024 yet, so for those that do, have they?
