Microsoft Flight Simulator (2020/2024)

I have a 737 cockpit with a samsung 4k 78” screen at the front and running MSFS2020 I want to add another two 70” tv’s at 4k would my GPU RTX3080ti handle these extra resolutions? I tested yesterday with my 65” TV and was pretty smooth. Would my CPU and MB handle a 40 series card if i want to upgrade my GPU? MSFS is like a sandcastle that children patiently build and then break without the slightest regret once finished, to rebuild another one. I have RTX 4090 + I9 14900K and I use Ultra settings in 2020 and exact same settings in 2024. What I found, is that in 2024 the sim microstutters upon approach and landing. (The FPS themselves are smooth) I do not have that in 2020. I feel like that is the airport loading issue. As an example: I Flew from Inibuilds Ibiza to recently released Brisbane using A330. Everything was smooth until 300 feet. After that, there were microstutters all the way to touchdown and rollout. Since I downloaded Inibuild Brisbane into the community folder, the airport is not streamed like the planes or the world. How come there are stutters than? My Tobii Eyetracker seems to be Acting Up in MSFS2020. When I look at my Controls it will not let me change my profile. But did notice that there is a Control for TrackIR. I do not have TrackiR on my system. I wonder if there is some sort of a conflict. I have never noticed TRackiR in my controls list.

Attempted to start MSFS2020 at 14:45z. The startup sequence goes as far as the page with heading INSTALLATION MANAGER, CHECKING FOR UPDATES, which continues to spin and stays there. It took 18 minutes to reach the WORLD MAP page. I don't see anything wrong with the Internet performance. Besides this incident, I have noticed that since the last major MSFS2020 outage about a week ago, startup takes a lot longer and for me, it's always the CHECKING FOR UPDATES function that takes the longest. There is a MSFS2020 availability/performance pattern that is evolving and it is not good.

I have used the new installers for the A320. But the aircraft does not show up in the list to select. Is there something else you have to do. Of course their discord is NOT working.

Hi folks. I have been looking into Say Intentions a little. I only fly VFR and wanted a product that handles VFR. However, I searched on YouTube for videos showing VFR demos for the product. When I watched these videos, it seemed to me that it took forever for the ATC to come back, every single time. I don't recall how long ago the videos were, so I am asking anyone who is using the product, has that gap in time shortened any? Thanks.

I have MSFS2024 installed on my dedicated sim SSD, a Samsung Evo SATA drive with 4TB capacity. Currently, I also configured the sim as such that the rolling cache is on the same drive. Now I thought that it might be wise to put the rolling cache on my m.2 SSD (the C:\ drive) instead? I could easily spare e.g. 64GB for a rolling cache, enough space available. Would this result in any benefit because the m.2 SSD is faster than the SATA SSD? Or would this be waste of time and energy? 😉

Anyone else genuinely struggle to land this plane smooth recently? I haven't flown it really in awhile since the Fenix A321 and PMDG 777 came out but I've noticed my approaches are fine but the landing it's self can be rather difficult. at the moment I only use a fly by wire joystick by thrustmaster and i'm either coming down too hard and not having enough time to flare or i'm gently flaring the plane and floating down the runway. at the moment I keep AT on during landings if that means anything. Does anyone here have any good tips on how to properly land the 747-8? preferable when to flare etc I'd like my landings to be below 200FPM and close to 1g as possible. I don't s…

Now that the Fenix A319/320/321 aircraft are working in MSFS 2024, I am currently on my second Fenix A320 flight in A Pilots Life V2. In order to get this working, you need to manually install FSUIPC as discussed on Pete Dowson's website. Installation is easy as it more or less requires you to copy the fsuipc lvars file from your MSFS2020 Community folder to your MSFS 2024 Community folder. After that, just start A Pilots Life V2, start MSFS 2024, start FSUIPC manually (make a shortcut to the .exe file if you need to) and voila, you are connected. Why do I always have to enter the departure/arrival airport on the main screen to start a flight? Can I not simply enter my data in the EFB and launch from there?

Hello all, Just need a little information before I buy a new Quest 3. I use my current Quest 2 in MSFS only and only use cable link. If I buy a Quest 3 do I need to buy the highest GB storage given that I do not intend to change my gaming (MSFS) and will continue to use the cable link. I also want to try hand tracking so can someone tell me what else I have to buy to make this happen in the cockpit for switches and rotary knobs etc. I have watched some Youtube videos and most say that hand tracking is iffy at best. Has this improved lately? Thanks for any information. Tony

Apols if this has already been covered - if so, feel free to point me in the right direction and ignore the thread. The UK in MSFS2024 shows significant scenery tile joints - and these are as obvious in flight as they are on the map (in fact much more so as they are 1/2 mile wide!) Unfortunately, one of them is only a couple of miles north of my home airport and stretches East / West across most of the country. Is this an issue in other regions? And is it an 'already noted' issue?

Hello every body it seems that Airports made/compiled with the SDK of 2024 runs perfectly smooth. Airports from 2020 not been build/compiled with the 2024 SDK and used in 2024 are not good for the FPS and also stutters. Example Ibiza 2024 from Inibuild runs very.good. Other users seeing this?

I cannot spawn into any airport with any plane under Free Flight. I just sit there watching the loading circle in the lower right corner and end up having to Escape out. What gives?
