FS2024 has come to a dead end. The only way forwards, is backwards. The biggest issues of all is not the bandwidth or servers. It's the actual streaming architecture. The only way is to go back to FS2020 architecture and include offline mode as an option. Ironically FSX came to a dead end as well, due to the graphics engine. It took a long time before there was new hope!

I have no idea why this keeps happening randomly! I have installed MSFS2024 to my E drive thus community folder is E:\MSFS2024... because its happened before, i regularly check the file to make sure nothing sinister has happened somehow.. This morning, just checked it and ................. InstalledPackagesPath "C:\Users\Doug\AppData\Local\Packages\Microsoft.Limitless_8wekyb3d8bbwe\LocalCache\Packages" Its changed back the the default location! What on earth is going on with that? Easy enough to change back but really???

Not sure what I'm doing wrong, but when I'm on an approach, I hit the "approach" button on the AP, but the plane does not start capture the glideslope. I usually have to kick off the AP and hand fly it. Any ideas why this would happen?

I have tried every bind I can think of and I can't get anything to control the C172 avionics bus switches with the yoke buttons. Ideas? Thanks.

I have just enjoyed a lovely short flight around the IniBuilds version of LDDU Dubrovnik airport.....but I noticed one glaring omission. Where on Earth is the Franjo Tudman Bridge?? This is a very iconic structure, and I was expecting to see it as I turned onto final approach to runway 11. However, all I saw was some kind of ghostly image submerged beneath the waves. Someone please help me to find a 3D model of this bridge, because the area is most definitely incomplete without it.

Hi everyone, Hope you are well. Has anyone seen this effect on screen when flying the A400 in MSFS2024? It looks like a doppler effect as the aircraft moves. Almost as if the air being disturbed is being lit up. Any quick fixes or ideas? Only happens with this aircraft.

https://www.pcgamer.com/hardware/microsoft-says-64-gb-is-the-ideal-spec-for-flight-simulator-2024-but-ive-tested-it-with-96-gb-and-it-makes-a-big-difference/ I’m actually quite surprised that have more than 64gb would make a difference. I wonder how the Xbox can manage this game with only 8gb?

Any idea how long this is going to take to make them fully functioning in 2024? I haven't been following this closely, so curious whether we're talking weeks or months?

I see 1-2 per airport, more than 90% of the aircraft have generic Airbus/Boeing liveries... I don't see a thread on the official forum, so I am in doubt, am I the only one with this issue? Real world traffic is enabled in the Online tab of course. Thanks!

Just wanted to see if anyone else has or is experiencing a problem with the Fenix speedbrake. As I did in MSFS 2020, I have a switch on Thrustmaster Hotas Throttle within MSFS 2024 assigned to toggle the arming of the speedbrake - in MSFS 2024 it works momentarily i.e. it will arm the speedbrake (and I can see the lever is raised within the cockpit) and then returns to the unarmed position. I also have an axis assigned to the spoilers in MSFS 2024 and that works fine. I keep getting a message on the ECAM saying that the speedbrake is out - yet the speedbrake is not armed or deployed by the lever in the cockpit, and when I look outside the aircraft the spee…

For various reasons I am reinstalling the sim. Frustratingly, I have 250Mbps stable download speed on my pc, but the install is running at 30Kbps. Why is this? Is there any way to speed this up? It is beyond ridiculous.

Im having a lot of fun with this plane, but nav display is completely bonkers. Regardless of setting (north up, track up), only the Arc nav display works properly, and all the other show the little plane in a completely wrong direction, and the orientation is also out of whack. Totally confusing. Bug or feature?

Hi all, I installed MSFS2024 a couple of days ago. The first thing I did was to move the Community folder to different drive, which I verified in the UserCfg.opt file. Then I installed all the compatible 3rd party airports I own. However, these airports don't show up in game. Do I have to install any bespoked airports made by Asobo? Has anyoneo had a similar problem? What did you do to fix it? Thanks!

So, I'm trying to set up a flight, and the built in loading app is just driving me crazy, the stupid thing doesn't have any graphic display that might give one a clue when it says it fails to load your request. Has anyone had any success with this, or has any suggestions? I am doing a Neofly flight, and the fuel/payload I am requesting should be legal according to RW specs, but no matter how I position things it seems to fail. Of course I don't have this frustration in 2020 but I'd really like to try it in the new sim.

I must be overlooking something basic: I am not able to switch on cabin lights in C152 or C172 in MS2024. I start on a runway , engine running, battery and alternator on. Instruments are powered, flaps operate. But the cabin lights AND also all external lights (strobe, taxi, nav...) are off, irrespective of the positions of switches (!) When at night, only a handful of buttons shine light, the rest of the dashboard (and the complete plane) is in the dark. I have almost 600 hrs. in MS2020 in GA and now I am not able to switch on the lights... Totally ashamed :).

I was able to remove the chocks, remove the pitot cover, remove the engine inlet covers but this tie down bungee cord has me baffled. This kind of thing happens on many aircraft at seemingly random times. Most of the time I can walk around and remove chocks, covers, etc but sometimes what worked one day does not work the next day. Yesterday I could not remove the engine inlet covers on the C172 - no matter how careful I was. I knew the magic spot to hit because I had removed them many times in past sessions. But, I had to change aircraft because I could not free the engine inlet. Today - I tried to fly the Cirrus SR22T from cold and dark. C…

My yoke is too sensitive. Tiny movements cause dramatic changes. Advice on where I go in 2024 settings to modify that sensitivity? Thanks all .........

If I turn live or AI traffic off because I want to use another source for AI Aircraft, I don't see any service vehicles at the airports or boats in the water. Evidently, this cannot be done, and there is a place on the "official" forums to vote to change it: https://forums.flightsimulator.com/t/split-the-ai-traffic-setting-between-boats-and-aircrafts/668209

I'm trying to set up a UNIVERSAL control set for each of my controls: Stick, Pedals, Mouse, Keyboard and Bravo Quadrant. I do not need any variations as I want each controller to be exactly the same for any aircraft except for the Bravo which just needs slight changes between TwinJet, Props and glider. All the rest need precisely the same controls for views, zoom, panning etc. This is the best way as I don't have to keep remembering different schemes. So I copy the default setups, and rename/save them then enter my preferred universal settings. I also click APPLY TO ALL AIRCRAFT. But that doesn't work. I know this because when I load an aircraft I haven't flown befor…
