Microsoft Flight Simulator (2020/2024)

.. I finally managed to assign all cockpit/external/drone camera assignments to my controller. However I still can't get out from drone camera to get back to the cockpit. Using "toggle drone camera" does not work. Please help. I can only get back to external view. My reflux is increasing too... Somebdy who is in charge for this "reversed engineering* controller aspect of the sim is really "out of place". S/he would have made a good politician!

Any comments from those who have tried this product for 2020? It's on sale.

Hello, I have a few questions I haven't seen answered anywhere so I'm hoping someone can answer for me real quickly. 1. Ultrawide monitor support? Do you still get the fishbowl effect at the edges on ultrawide monitors? That's something that has always irked me tremendously in 2020. 2. Similar to that is there proper multi-monitor FOV support with monitor angle, Bezel width and distance to monitor like the racing sims do? 3. Hi, As the title says, using the Thrustmaster FG-Rumble-1 pedals as Yaw in X-plane / DCS as a combined input , though not perfect but works , with MFS 2024 it refuses to scan the Z axis, the only axis that it accepts in the Y Axis (the brake pedal) , as combined it does not detect the axis , but in separate mode it only receives input from the brake pedal and not the accelerator pedal. Anyone who is using racing pedals for Yaw or does anyone know how to set them up ? Thanks.

I don't understand it at all. My system (770 @5ghz 32G ram 3090GPU) is considered low end by ms2024. I had been planning to get a new system. but not if my results continue. MS2024 told me low end but I switched everything to ultra (except bloom) - I am running DLSS 3.7 and frame generation with nvidia driver 566.14 I have a 4K monitor upscaled to 5120. Running AS Weather Took off from KLGA in the TBM and flew over JFK and up and down Manhattan at 1500ft. Using windows game bar, my FPS was pegged between 40-44fps - smooth as silk. In settings I have Dynamic on set to 30FPS, which was the default, I have about 15 items in Community - a few FBeam airports,…

Trying to record my Fenix A320 using the inbuilt FCR within 2024. I press the record button and close the app, then when I press FCR on the tool bar there are no options anymore. Anyone else experince this with this app?

I need this, because Its the only way I can remove chocks and covers.

First let me say I have good internet speeds and my PC can handle 2020 and 2024 with now issues. What I don’t like is how 2024 loads texture data right in front of me as I’m flying along. Reminds me of the old P3D days. Is there a setting that can have data load faster? I flew around downtown Atlanta, unless you’re right on top of the city it looks like it was melting. I have LOD set to 200 and upped cache to 64. I know 2024 is my cloud based but it kills the immersion.

I haven't tried all the choppers yet and please excuse me if this has already been asked ..but in the H125, Is anyone else finding the sudden extreme rotation of the heli when close to the ground, fairly severe? It's like I've clipped a tree or power pole with the rotors. I'm hoping it's not msfs24's take on ground effect and it's here to stay.

Hi anyone know how to turn on the Cabri instrument lights for night flying? I've looked all over the flight deck but can't see any button for the. Have the overhead lights for one side or the other,but does not light up the gauges.

I have tried the RV14 and RV8 in MSFS2024, and they both work quite well. However, the RV8 has no engine sounds in the cockpit, unlike the RV14. Has anyone found a fix?

Set as default vs Apply to all aircraft? Do we know with any precision what happens when we set a General or Aircraft profile as “Set as default” or “Apply to all aircraft”? What happens (distinctively) when we set one or the other? How do we deselect “Set as default” or deselect “Apply to all aircraft”? Or switch from one to the other? It would be useful to understand what we are doing… These options must have some design purpose and it would be helpful for us to understand the exact function of each option. What is your system to overcome the inability to enter the squawk and being nagged by ATC to reset after takeoff? I just shut down BATC and restart, is there any other way?

I experience horrible perfomance in the TBM, with less than 10 FPS while performance of the game is very good with other aircraft (sometime more than 150 FPS) on the same conditions Not sure what could be the cause... Do you have a difference in performance as well when using the TBM ? I have a 7800X3D, 32Go of RAM and a 4070 with 12Go of Vram

Hello, can someone tell me what is up with the price discrepancies across flight simulator stores? Is that normal? For instance, FlyTampa Amsterdam costs about €26 on Simmarket and their website, however, directly via MSFS (2020) store, only €14,49.

I'm 87, a long retired PPL and I have a weekly flying session with another elderly past PPL. We have MSFS2020 on Xbox S and we are happy with that as we usually fly a Cessna 172 in Europe. My question is whether I can use MFSMAP on a laptop to plot flights synchronised with the Xbox. If so, how do I set it up. Hi all, I'm making a video investigating turbulence in heavy/dense clouds. I've searched the globe for bad weather, using the windy.com thunderstorm overlay, and badbadweather.com. So far I haven't found any significant increase in turbulence or up-/downdrafts when flying through clouds. I remember a while back, Seb was talking about cloud turbulence being significantly improved in 2024. He does talk about it very briefly in the September Dev Q&A stream. But I think he goes more in-depth in an interview. So if someone can help me find that particular video, I'll be happy 🙂
