Microsoft Flight Simulator (2020/2024)

hey guys, my msfs doesnt work like it should be, when i load into the game it takes ages and a few tricks to get in, and when im in the game i cant acces the marketplace and my bought planes because i dont have the open world update installed. most of the times, it doesnt even show me the option to install it, when it does it just restarts the game and gives me an error. ive tried restarting everything and even deleted and re downloaded the game. but still nothing does anybody know how to fix this or if its just a server issue. i am playing on xbox btw and i use msfs 2020 -Levi

Been struck with the dreaded KB5062660 error that MS will supposedly fix one day... causes BSOD.. Decided to sell of my 4090 and upgrade to a 5090 on a new fresh install of win 11.. Is there anything i should be backing up (i know MSFS2024 comes form the cloud so all good there) Haven't done a full reinstall for 3 years so bit rusty! LOL Cheers!

A couple of FSL A321 NEO questions: 1. I use the thrustmaster yoke and the hi-hat switch usually (well on the fenix anyway) pans back to the main cockpit view when I look left or right and then release it. On the FSL A321Neo when I look left or right and then release it, it stays there - how can I get it to look left and then back to front view when I release? 2. I've set the AP disconnect button on the Thrustmaster yoke so it disengages the AP on approach when I press the red disconnect button (in the Fenix). I purchased Active Sky today, honestly being very skeptical, since it is a preset based weather engine (thanks MS for not opening up the API.....) If nothing else I wanted to support HIFI, because during FS9 days it was my reliable go-to weather engine, that I used for years with much enjoyment (remember 2D clouds?). A bit of a background. Bought the Aerosoft CRJ V2 last night and took it out for a spin at EIDW. On approach, gear down, flaps 30 as I recall, on final at 500 ft/min decent, got my markers, around 135 knots … tiny decrease in throttle and the aircraft dropped like a rock -1500ft/min. Applied a ton of power to start a go around … it was UGLY! I went from, going to nail this landing to … I’m gonna crash in a couple of seconds. Winds were mild, slight crosswind but not much (EIDW). 1. Is this how the Real world aircraft responds? 2. Where should I be on the throttle settings and descent rate for stable approach? Rob.

Hi all is it normal to be at cruise altitude 29000 and have frames of 56 on a clear night sky in MSFS2024 with my system? I feel like there is something not set right on my system. I turned off BATC and frames didnt really go up either on the Feinx A320 200 TOD but 100 didn't really gain much on frames Mostly high settings with clouds at Ultra and Terrain Pre Cache on Ultra

Why do the labels of all AI traffic objects look so terrible in FS2024? Is there a solution to this? (Only in MSFS2024 - MSFS2020 looks better.) Thanks for Tips to repair this.

So just got a new LG 32 inch LED TV as my PC has been moved again to a smaller room at home. Set it up, looks ok, went to load up MSFS and it crashed. Saying GPU too hot etc, load of rubbish as its not. So anyway check over settings and in NV control panel the 'image scaling' i use (NIS) So i can run MSFS at false 4k res and DLSS wont stay on before i used to check GPU instead of display and it would grey out some settings and i'd get NIS overlay and image scaling options per game... So for some reason somehow MSFS is i assume picking up that its missing that so can't get into the game, i have changed screen size etc in options and deleted user file.... very strange…

Hello, I'm interested in adding a new airliner to my fleet in MSFS 2024, and I really love the E-190/95. I saw that the FSS E-190/95 was stable in MSFS 2024, but wasn't able to find any information on weither it was currently worth it or not in MSFS 2024. Can any FSS E-190/95 owner in MSFS 2024 help me? I have found two issues, and would appreciate any help to resolve them. 1) I have bound a button on my Hotas Warthog joystick to 'reset the cockpit view'. This works absolutely fine in every aircraft other than the Fenix A3** BFU. If for example I have the MCDU view showing in the Fenix, and then push the bound button to 'reset the cockpit view' - it does not show the 'cockpit view' - it just stays on the same view. However if I then go to another view, say the OHP and then press the bound button for 'reset cockpit view' it works fine. 2) Prior to BFU, I noticed that I was often getting a warning that the speedbrake was deployed - when it wasn't. I’m using Tobii Eye Tracker (well… head tracking really) in 2024 and while it’s a wonderful bit of tech, I despise both Tobii and Asobo for the poor and buggy implementation in the 2024 sim (now 9 months post-launch). Anyway, I digress… I’m wondering if anyone has any tips to avoid the following annoyances… - Every time I start the sim, the view point is behind the avatar. So I need to reset it and it pops into the proper place. Then when I get into the cockpit, I need to reset it once or twice again as the viewpoint is often behind the seat or outside the window. Is there any way to fix this? - After you reset it in some planes, the default view is too low…

I was recently in the Switzerland Alps around Interlaken (Eiger, Munch, Jungfrau ...)for hiking. Now I wanted to fly in this area. But, why the word not allowed MSFS 2024 still does not recognize correct temperatures and snow coverage. I cannot set live weather ON (which is 30+ °C since more than a week). We have August but MSFS still produces heavy snow coverage down to the lakes around Interlaken at less than 2000 ft. Even in the Winter, snow is not so common down in that valley. It is very disappointing. Or am I doing something wrong?

I have the Max 8 from iFly and its one of the better planes for MSFS if not the best. I have been hoping for an official announcement coming from iFly that the other variants would be in the works but so far they have been pretty quiet about it. A few months ago a shallow rumor was going around they were going to announce another variant(s) during the Flight Sim Expo but that never materialized. I am really hoping they announce more variants soon. The 737 is one of those airplanes you can't just have one variant. If they are a bit out there and they are waiting for the Max 8 to be finalized that would be okay but it would be at least nice to know they are coming! …

... and are flying complex demanding aircraft what's your maximum VRAM in use, and perhaps rough average VRAM in use? I ask because now I rarely ever hit 14Gb of the 24Gb on my 4090, averqage is maybe 12Gb, and this is a reduction of maybe 3-4Gb over when I first installed SU1 4 months ago or so. I assume this is from the so called optimization of VRAM use for systems w/o greater VRAM amounts on board. Overall performance is very good but I wonder if it's deteriorated some from when more VRAM was in use. Also, I notice a correspondingly greater amount of system RAM is now in use. Just a curiosity mostly, and I do wonder if folks with 36Gb of VRAM are seeing a similar…

Hi all flightsimmers, Since the SU16 update of MSFS 2020, I have noticed that the performance is very bad. There are a lot of laggs and stutters. Normally with AutoFPS I can maintain a solid FPS of 50, which is also my monitor refresh rate of 50 hz. So it was very fluent and no problems at all. Now I experience on the same flight I did before SU16, a very lot stutters. Were I had 50 fps solid, locked, I have now during cruise and landing it goes down to 30 fps and then to 35, to 40 and back to 30, which caused a lot of stutters. I don't understand that if something works great, why the devs of MSFS 2020, touch things and it becomes as bad as it is now. I really do…

I have been checking out the prices of PCs recently, and also thinking about what system would be good enough if I decide to switch to MSFS 2024 at the same time. My use case would still be 1080p resolution on a 24" monitor. I am not going to be spending ridiculous amounts of money on the top end graphics cards, so I have been thinking about an i7 14700KF/16GB RTX 5060Ti combo. Would this be sufficient to run MSFS 2024 at decent detail levels? A system like this would be significantly more powerful than the i5 7600K/6GB GTX 980Ti powered PC that I am currently using, and that 16GB VRAM should provide me with comfortable headroom @ 1080p resolution.
