Microsoft Flight Simulator (2020/2024)

Hi has anyone else in 24 noticed what seems like banding white lines in the sky if you are not planning around. It does away once you move but then seems to kind come back.

Hi, Wonder if anyone can help. I'm running win 11 but my shortcut icons for starting both msfs 2020 and 2024 have changed to just white shortcuts. I can still start both sims but would like to get the proper icons back. I have the microsoft bought versions of both sims but I have no idea where the icons might be on my computer to replace the plain white ones. Can any one advise please. I don't like them along my taskbar Thanks

Are all keyboard and joysticks binding controls available in MSFS 2020 also available in MSFS 2024 eg. Translate Cockpit View Right, Hold Throttle Reverse Thrust (for simulating Beta speed)?

Hey guys, I hope that none of you are affected by this enforced update by MS... It BSOD your machine randomly and cannot uninstall the KB update.. (KB5062660) The error is The "Microsoft Pluton Cryptographic Provider" provider was not loaded because initialization failed. It makes it so you cant even open you Pimax Play app even after reinstalling it.. BSOD So very annoyed right now and in searching Reddit, seems that we have to wait for MS to send out another KB update to fix it... At the end of my tether i reckon!

When I fly an airliner, I’m using BATC and turn off default traffic and ATC. I also lower my TLOD. When I’m flying VFR, I’m doing the opposite. Is there any utility that will allow me to start the session with these different settings so I don’t need to jump around in the settings to adjust this stuff?

The ground friction does not seem to vary from one surface type to another. When you taxi with a GA plane there is no difference between grass and asphalt. You should need more throttle outside the asphalt. Now there is just more bumps. What is the problem? Incomplete ground friction implementation in MSFS2024, insufficient airfield surface material definitions or airplane wheel modelling?

Anybody have the taxi ribbon turning on every flight in the beta? Every time I go into assistance options and turn it off then save. But when I restart the sim it is back on again.

Just a few random questions. What does the "FCM/COMM" button do on the FCM? Are there any guides to using the HUD? I thought I saw an FCM page related to the HUD as well (not 100% sure), if so, what are the features on that page? Do the iFly liveries include airline specific equipment, such as a HUD, various optional features, etc? Or do you have to do the research and then go through the EFB settings and add / delete whatever is needed for a specific airline? I'm having some issues with GSX. When I request fuel, the truck shows up and is there for at most a minute or two before it drives off. Does it also connect it's hoses to the f…

Dynamic LOD is now reporting that it has failed the compatibility test and won't run. Anyone else seeing this?

Does anyone know how to get the FMS and MCP winwing units to work in 2024? I thought they did before?

Interesting video of the Fenix VNAV compared to Tolis and the real thing. I've always had to aggressively use speed brakes and/or V/S mode to stay on speed / altitude during descents. Thought it was just my technique or that the real jet was like this. Maybe Amir can take a look at this for an upcoming patch?

MSFS 2024 doesn't seem to be connecting this afternoon. Is it just me or are any other users seeing this? I'm on East coast, USA

With the news of the update, I read in the forums that we need to uninstall and re-install FS 2024. After doing that I have a stuttering MESS. The loading begins normally until it gets to about 60% and the it slows down to a total shuddering mess until 100%. When I click on "Fly now" nothing changes 🤬 I tried a 2nd re-install but to no avail. Any ideas of what has happened and what I can do to get 2024 running again would be greatly appreciated.

Hello, I'm just raising a stink here because posts on the Orbx forum have to be approved to be published! Having uninstalled MS2020 and its addons to switch to MS2024 now prevents me from downloading all the scenes I bought on ORBX. And yet, legally speaking, this is the reply I gave them without any response from them and, of course, without them having approved and published it. Franck

Have LVR KFF installed and when starting sim with stock AI AC traffic "Online" they are initially landing across runways and into terrain far past the AP. Is this normal with AI AC on an add-on AP like this? Does it take while for the AI to adjust? Thanks

Hi I love this aircraft but, gosh, it's SO frustrating. I remember it being challenging to get it to load properly in MSFS2020, but MSFS2024 is absolutely defeating me - not to actually get a 'default' configuration booted up and flying, but to get it to recognise the Maddog Load Manager and do anything with the settings within it. - In MSFS2024, I only have the base MD-82 in default Leonardo colours. I am aware that the Maddog Load Manager is specific to actual aircraft loaded - but I only have the one. -The aircraft will boot up fine in MSFS2024, and I can fly it happily in its one configuration, and without the EFB working. - but the Maddog Load M…

Is it working bug free? I read that it still has issues with applying correct pushbacks. That would be the main reason for me to buy it, since the freeware solution are not working perfectely with fenix. Also I would like to know if it's possible to set custom pushbacks which are sometimes necessary.

Regarding the upcoming update for MSFS2024, I understand we will also be able to download airplanes, and I was curious if flight_model.cfg is available and editable. I noticed that in MSFS2020, airplanes imported from MSFS2024 are missing the file. Thanks.

In final approach, the textures in front of me before the runway are changing constantly/popping in. What causes this and what I can do? I have TLOD around 20 at that moment with autofps and OLOD always 100, I thought Olod is what matters here? I see this in youtube too with someones video:
