Microsoft Flight Simulator (2020/2024)

As we know, even the default ASOBO aircraft are incorrectly configured / created and the files where performance information should be available aren't in the correct format or are incomplete, or the information simply doesn't exist, so when we use the otherwise nifty "planner.flightsimulator.com" there is no performance data 😕 I have tried to manually set it from SimBrief profiles I have in my SimBrief account, but they don't exactly match in some of the fields. Tried to find repositories of the ASOBO flight planner but couldn't find any 😞 Any suggestion really welcome!

I just upgraded to the beta version of MSFS 2020 and completed my usual flight with A Pilots Life V2. On landing at Madeira I notice nothing at all has been tracked, and FSUIPC is not running. I reinstalled FSUIPC v7 and click on their special icon to start MSFS 2020. I'm assuming this is to fire up FSUIPC along with the simulator, and still nothing. No FSUIPC, no a pilot's life connection. Is this not compatible with the new beta or has something gone wrong my end? TIA!

I have to say MSFS2024 is disappointing me greatly as I'm suffering horrible VRAM problems. The sim is unloading models and textures when I pan away from them. It's using 18Gb of my 32Gb VRAM. Now I'm sure this is a problem lots of people would like to have, but please Asobo, where VRAM ISN'T an issue and there's lots of it to spare, can you fix it so model LODs/textures aren't culled please?

I was flying Kona (PHKO) to Honolulu (PHNL) again tonight, after a successful flight last night. I wanted to focus more on my approach speeds and flaps. The sim had something else in mind - it thought I should focus on missed approaches 😄 I'm using the approach to 4R below. This route is setup via Simbrief, imported into the aircraft and I walked through the legs on the nav display before take off and it all looked perfect. - I checked the ILS freq was programmed in both radios, the CRS for the runway (42) was on both sides of the MCP, the PFD showed IIUM in the upper left. - AP was enabled, with VNAV, LNAV, and A/T enabled. - I dialed in 3000 at T/D t…

Sent a ticket to Fenix but no reply yet. I've seen other users with same issue: after BFU enter cockpit, and the displays/panels are blank (background only, no text, labels, details etc) and the EFB is missing. I've disabled AV, uninstalled (via Revo), and reinstalled 5 times now with no luck. I am logged in each time, also unlogged and relogged with no change. I do not know if you have posted this tip but for those who have not tested it, it has helped me completely. Following the tip of this video I managed to eliminate stuttering completely and now it is running smooth equal to fs2020. Simply by disabling HPET (High precision event timer) in the windows device manager and then system devices. note: the video is in portuguese.

I've had just a couple occurences of the "Loading 97% never ends" syndrome with FS 2024, and yesterday was my second encounter, after the quirks with the initial release of FS 2024. Tried emptying the "Streammed content" folder and reloading FS 2024, rebooted the PC, no, I didn't empty the Rolling Cache because I don't think that can help with this sort of problem as well as with many other... Then I recalled that on my first session of the day I had loaded after an update of the iFly 737 MAX, a session with that exact airplane... It lasted a very long while, and since I had to leave for work, I interrupted it, quited FS 2024, shutdown the desktop and came back …

Can someone tell me what has happend to the groundtextures in msfs2020? I flew my normal route from EKCH to ESSA yesterday (in the LOVLEY recentley updated FENIX A320!!! What a true work of art that is!!! AMAZING!!!) and noticed a HUGE drop in groundtexturequality! It was almost like a "kickback" to the "good old" FSX/P3D days... The groundtextures from above now appears in squares/blocks and looks blurry and diffuse. This was not the case a few days ago. I have the ASOBO_HEAT_BIG and _SMALL.fx files disabled, but apparently the iFly MAX has it's own heat blur effect file. Browsing around the folders I can't find the .fx file that controls it. Has anyone been able to get rid of the overdone heat blur effect in the 737-8 MAX. I checked out theier Discord and had no luck figuing out how to disable the heat blur.

I'm trying to get the Airbus Thrustmaster quadrant setup to work with the FsLabs A321 Neo in 2024. Having huge problems (the Fenix is a dream in comparison). I can't work out: - is it two lever or single lever axis? - are there rev zones on lever? - do I select 'use rev toggle / hold'? It seems very complicated to set detent zones when other aircraft do it so simply (I've had no problem with the Fenix).

I've watched several iFly tutorials, even some by a real-world 737 pilot. Despite the fact the plane has VNAV, everyone seems to be constantly dialing-down altitudes on the MCP during descent almost two waypoints ahead, and using speed brakes a lot, and then dialing in flap speeds on approach. Doesn't the plane follow constraints for altitude and speed automatically? Why is everyone dialing in future altitude and speed constraints? Is that a normal part of the workflow or just compensating for the fact the plane cannot stick to what's programmed? Hi, I have just updated the Aerostar 600 to version 0.9.6, having uninstalled the previous version. I now no longer see the option in the EFB to install the TDS GTNXi. I have gone through the uninstall and reinstall process and still getting the same outcome. Any thoughts how to fix this issue?
