July 14, 2025Jul 14 Hi everyone, I'm currently experiencing a recurring issue in MSFS 2024 during the engine start-up phase while on the ground. The problem occurs with most aircraft, regardless of the type, and a specific error message appears on the screen when I try to start the engine. Even when I use the quick auto-start method (Ctrl + E), the same issue persists. It doesn't seem to be related to a particular aircraft, as it happens with almost every plane I try. Also, this problem is not related to any start-up procedure mistakes — I always follow the checklist steps carefully, but the issue still happens. Has anyone else encountered this issue or knows how to fix it? I'd really appreciate any help. Thanks in advance!
July 14, 2025Jul 14 Your engines are running idle at too low RPMs. Try increasing your throttle just a bit, so that the engine can reach 1000 RPM or so. Idle (throttles at 0%) RPMs are usually not enough for the alternator to work, leading to low volts error message. Same goes for the oil pressure if I'm not mistaken. I'm (pleasantly) surprised this is implemented in default aircraft, though...
July 14, 2025Jul 14 Following @Daube 's suggestion, make sure you correctly set your throttle as well as the Mixture or Condition axis from 0 to 100% and not 100% to - 100% (depending on your hardware) and check if you might have any "hidden" controller settings that might turn ful valves / pumps OFF without you realizing...
