  1. Not only in VR. I can't remove it either in flatscreen...
  2. Well, there may still be bugs & limitations but overall my preferred ATC robot ! Have completed a few more flights with the latest 1.8.8 EA and it surely got better over the last version. I can now consistently get answers and interactions that make sense when I ask for an approach change, I was told to go around and from there on everything seemed correctly sequenced until I was again at the FAF... Very good, and the traffic injection is OK too without hammering my GPU 🙂
  3. 1.7.24.0 released: [Update: Available now for all platforms] Sim Update 5 Beta (1.7.24.0) Release Notes - April 24, 2026 - Sim Update 5 Beta | MSFS 2024 / Beta News - Microsoft Flight Simulator Forums
  4. I couldn't check myself because I do not own the Aerosoft A346 ... And yes I like to use Gemini, Copilot, ChatGPT, ... They're Great ! provide you know the limits of using it. In my post I didn't simply post the answer I got from a simple Gemini query but instead made clear it was such... Subject to errors? Yes for sure!
  5. Froim Gemini: How to access it in the aircraft: In the real A340 and the Aerosoft/ToLiss simulation, this is handled via the DATA page on the Multi-Function Control and Display Unit (MCDU): Press the DATA key on the MCDU. Select the EQUIDISTANT PT (or EDP) prompt. Enter the two airports or waypoints you wish to calculate the midpoint between (e.g., your departure and arrival, or two ETOPS alternates). The system will provide the coordinates, the distance from your current position, and the estimated time to reach the point where the distance to both selected waypoints is equal.
  6. Yes, turbulence, updrafts and downdrafts inside big convective clouds has been improved significantly. Visibility even based on the more technical / aerosol based method is very good IMO and I wouldn't put low visibility scenarios and the way they're depicted anywhere behind either P3D or XP oeven with external addons.
  7. Just installed the t-6 and it's another great model! I never bought the A2A Texan, so I can't compare, and there's none for DCS, but it does feel very believable.
  8. Do you guys know.how I can get the tablet of my sight? They talk at flightsims.to about some pitures showing clickspots, but I never found those? Well but I did find out after searching desperately for the IFF that is mentioned on the aircraft descriptokn as a select of the easy ground model that it was after all on the formation lights panel, and it was seleceted on my case sonInwas findinh ground physics very unrealistic. Switching that off turned this p51d ground physics great! Wheel landings are a must!!!
  9. Not free, but now there's also: Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024 | Upgrading the Default AI Traffic liveries!
  10. Standard all the way, IMHO. The good addons will have to be purchased, and Standard already includes a wealth of great defaults, some of them having free mods that bring them to "professional" level.
  11. @ConsVoid, thank you for the info, and I will probably give AIG a try again one of these days. Today after a long while without using it, I tried default MSFS 2024 ATC and Real World Traffic injection. I had the FSLTL 1k models in the Community folder so I guess the models used were those, and I did notice a lot less hammering of my GPU which is only 8GB. The overall experience in a Madrid - Lisboa A320 flight was acceptable. I really don't have used FSHUD for quite a while because I really like BATC.
  12. Well, after a few more test flights I have to say this mod, which as per the associated comments at the Flightsim. To makes use o fthe new CFD, completely changed my opinion about props, powerful WW2 props in this case, and MSFS 2024 as far as flight modeling goes. Wow! I'm FINALLY !!! AT LAST !!! convinced that MSFS 2024 can have really good even if mainly "inside of the envelope" flight dynamics !
  13. v2 Released: SimplePlanes 2 is Here and it’s Amazing! (Mostly) Everything NEW in SimplePlanes 2!
  14. One thing that really hammers my GPU is using default Real Traffic and ASOBO models. I have an old srhinked version of FSLTL models (1k resolution which is good enough for me) which I use with BATC and it's injector, and used before with FSHUD. I once tried AIG but it takes a while to install and I was never sure if I had done evrything right... Too many details like having to use a password from AVSIM Library and updating schedules and .... I reverted to the FSLTL models. Also with BATC I don't have to use an external injector, while when I used FSHUD it had to rely on FSLTL to make the injection.
  15. Ah ! bummer 😞 it's for FS 2020 only .... Well, will wait for the FS 2024 version then.
  16. Thx for the feedback. Purchasing it later today 👍 Looks AMAZING!
  17. Well, just made a series of short flights from LPCS to LPST and circuits in LPST. Wheel landings in this P51 are DELIGHTFUL !!!! And it happens I just noticed I had that "simplified physics" enabled (Green Formation Light ON) and as I turned it off, the flight dynamics got much better for my liking. So far it's a winner !!!

  19. I agree, although I find the physics of the A2A for FSX a lot less satisfactory than those of the DCS, starting with the takeoff run which is really too "unstable" in yaw control while the real aircraft is easy to keep aligned with the rw centerline and requires just slight rudder inputs. In that aspect I'd say this MSFS 2024 P51d mod feels even better than the A2A. Then the day I used, even the first version of the DCS TF51 I could never return to the A2A model. Yes there were, back then, aspects where the engine simulation and certain aspects of the cabin environment, like for instance hypoxia effects, condensation in the canopy, g effects on the fuel manometer gages, etc... were exclusive of the A2A model, but progressively ED started adding details and fine tuning the systems, and after a couple of years and nowadays, the DCS P51d is by far the best simulation of a P51 available for a desktop sim platform IMHO, closely floowed by the IL-2 model, and even IMO better modelled even in Aces of Thunder than in A2A or any WW2 prop fighter I have used so far in MSFS... I particularly also like the physics in IL-2 Great Battles and even in the more "arcade oriented" AoT I am now a real FAN of, opting to play it when I have a sim time slot rather than loading DCS, XP or MSFS, but there is a problem ith the elevator authority in the IL-2 P51D. Still the IL-2 is IMOH way way ahead of the A2A in terms of physics / aerodynamics modeling... The only thing that YoYo introduced in the DCS model was an effect I never accepted as realistically represented, giving to it way more importance than what it should have - the effects of deflected propwash over the downwind surfaces when maneuvering or taking off in a strong crosswind, although during my long discussions at the ED forums with YoYo, a guy that understands zillions more about aerodynamics and flight simulation development than I ever knew, he said RW pilots comented on that effect and accepted it as realistic ... I didn't stand corrected, nor did I accept that with a strong crosswind from the port side (left) I would have to use right rudder and right aileron input during the initial takeoff run to overcome the deflectec propwash effects.... The A2A P51D completely disappointed me, aerodynamics modeling wise, and in some way the MSFS do to, although some find the way to more properly model it, was in how almost unperceptible sideslip resulted from full power regimes at high AoA / low speed... I could climb with a rather steep pitch attitude, and start losing energy (not as much and so believably like in DCS, but still acceptable) and see my AoA increas, and yet practically no rudder input would be required, and the TC ball would stay put, well, pretty muchg like most prop aircraft in MSFS, this P51d mod unfortunately not being an exception... BTW: IL-2 Great Battles excels in terms of ground physics IMO, and I never found taxxing a taildragger under stronger winds as realistic as in IL-2: Principles #1 - Wind While Taxiing
  20. Very good gathering of info. You should try to post at the Official Forums attaching these videos.
  21. Well, my bad... The model for Xp is great too ... and very detailed. By "port" I didn't mean - copy ! Just thinking that the developer might be the same, which appears to really not be the case ...
  22. I'm Taken to believe it may be a port from a well known free mi-2 for X-Plane...
