Is anybody at all using the Replay function? I never hear it discussed anymore. I tried it once, but it was so cumbersome that I never went back.

First of all, the following info only applies to a Steam installation of MSFS. I don't know the file locations for a MS Store installation. After installing MSFS via Steam, the "Options" and "Personalized Controls" profiles are stored in the following location: ...\Steam\userdata\[your user number]\1250410\remote The "Options" file is named "Profile_00" and is a binary file. Deleting it will cause MSFS to rebuild it from scratch on the next startup. You could build several profiles by renaming them after being built. Hello Everyone, I'm double checking here to see if anyone else ran into a problem downloading scenicroutes-ljlj-ljubljana_1.3.zip from Simmarket? Sophos reports this file contains a Mal/Generic-S virus. Working with Simmarket, they say it is a false positive, which is very possible. However, before I override this, I would like to run this by the Avsim forum and gauge your response. I appreciate your input!

Just did a complete fresh install of the simulator…Here are the summary loading times: First Start After Clean Install: 4:16 Second Start After Clean Install: 2:58 First Start With 140gb Community Folder: 11:06 Second Start With 140gb Community Folder: 6:41 So, for my peace of mind, it seems like I am pretty much in the range that everyone is experiencing…Maybe MS will include faster loading times in the future, but I can live with this for a while!

Hi, I have done all the steps such as making sure track ir software is updated , game list updated etc and set my profile in the software for msfs....In the sim, my track ir shows in the controller options menu, along with all my other peripherals. But in the sim, I have no head tracking. Do I need to set it up like the other controllers, IE setting axis etc? I have scoured the net and cant see any threads or guides about this. Can anyone advise please? Thanks!

This is a bit odd, but when I try to set up the fine FBW A320 throttles I notice that the number 1 engine throttle moves up in value (in the sim cockpit) to about 35% before the number 2 throttle begins to move. Soon the number 2 throttle overtakes the number 1 until both reach 100% at TOGA. What's odd is that I'm using a Thrustmaster T16000 hardware throttle with both Throttle 1 and 2 axes (0 TO 100%) set to axis Z on the hardware throttle. The Z axis is set to linear with no sensitivity adjustments. This asymmetry is reflected in the engine thrust, fuel flows, etc. Latest development version as of this morning. Many thanks in advance.

Today I was flying a two hour flight and on final approach to Boeing field on the TBM930 FS2020 froze. Sometimes I do get microstutters and freezes but the sim doesn't crash. I could use other programs on my second monitor and I could hear the sounds on FS2020. I also checked the Windows Task Manager and the Power usage on FS2020 was on Very High, but otherwise nominal on CPU and memory use. I wonder what could have caused the crash on final approach ? What bugs me the most I dont know what caused the crash as I had to quit FS2020 by force and the flight hours weren't logged in my logbook. Same has also happened on final approach to Auckland …

I suspect this won't be that interesting to most people on here but the Marketplace has been updated and amongst the new items the Just Flight Hawk T1 is now available. It's PC only and I don't know if XB compatibility will be coming or not but if you have been holding off till the Hawk was on the marketplace now is you opportunity. The Blackbox Sims Scottish Aviation Bulldog is also now on the store (and also rather good) so if you've wanted to roleplay as a RAF cadet in training this has been a rather good update. (Oh and still no sign of the Carenado C337)

Amazing how it all just exploded. I suddenly experienced the black screen at loading after many days of successful operation. I have tried every option discussed in the threads about this issue. -fastlaunch - remove USB - change audio - change drivers - virus exceptions - NO antivirus running - stop audio services Procmon and Proc Explorer show the sim issuing all the normal calls and directX wtites to the GPU. The GPU Is 38% busy but the framerate is 0. I can hear the various sounds thse sim makes while loading and the CPU for the sim is about 30% on an 8-core machine. All appears normal in every monitor and log What do I try next?

G'day everyone, I'm wondering if anyone has found an addon or utility to manage our hangered aircraft? It's nice to have so many options to choose from but when you've settled on 4-5 favourites that you fly all the time it gets a little tedious scrolling through all the available planes to get to what you want. It'd be great if there was a way of a saving favourites or most often flown aircraft and I wonder if anybody knows if it's been done? Cheers Warwick

Since I got the Kodiak 100, I started using the G 1000 NXI, which is the first flat panel I have used in MSFS. Within a few hours, I have really enjoyed using it, and the more I fly the Kodiak, the more I learn about the G 1000. My question is, where does the G 1000 NXI get it's nave data from? Does it utilize Navigraph data, and if so, will it's data be updated if you have a Navigraph subscription?

This is my favorite plane for Amphibian in P3D, and will be later for MSFS! Does the package have a float edition already...or will be released later?

TrackIR has stopped working in the Sim. (W11 MSFS v1.21.13.0) TrackIR software is working but not responding in the Sim Changing aircraft gets it working for about 30 seconds, then stops again. How do I get to the main menu? When I load the sim it brings me to the welcome screen but I can't find the a way to the main menu. I am using a keyboard and joystick and have tried every combination I can think of but no main menu.

So I decided to start my initiation into MSFS Christmas day by installing it thru my Steam account. It took most of the night to download the massive system. When I tried to start it the next morning thru Steam, it died after about 4/5th of the blue line was done. Picked up the Kodiak today. Spent about 30 minutes of familiarization in the cockpit this afternoon and was very surprised to find that Simworks did not provide dedicated camera view of the MFD. My 73 year old eyes seem to need that. Has anyone here replaced another view with one of the MFD and willing to share? With my Honeycomb Bravo I do not need the provided camera view of the quadrant so I could sub in an MFD view. I also anticipate little use of the cockpit overhead view. I can pan up there and back when seldom needed. I have zero experience in creating a camera view to replace another. Any assistance would be highly appreciated!

I usually post a screen shot about once a week to the Facebook User Group Microsoft Flight Simulator 2020 ( Asobo). When I do this, and I have done it with the Mooney, the DC6, the Seminole, The Piper Arrow, I get anywhere between 3 and around 10 likes at the most from forum members. The other day I posted a screen shot of the Kodiak 100 flying at cruise in Papua New Guinea. I just looked now and I have over 130 Likes for the photo, and almost two dozen comments about what a great Aircraft this is, for MSFS.

So I see sim supports HDR. Presumably this is genuine HDR10 ? So will only work with HDR capable panel. However, HDR requires 10 bit colour minimum. But will 10 bit colour be available on a NON-HDR monitor that is 10 bit, so that at last we can enjoy reduced colour banding / gradients in the sky ? Also I think it needs to be exclusive fullscreen as opposed to borderless window as in P3D for 10 bit to work without a Quadro. Is this the case ? Cheers
