Microsoft Flight Simulator (2020/2024)

Sorry to bug you guys again, but I have a quick question about updates. I just bought the game last week and want to do some flying around Switzerland. I see there is a world update for the scenery in Switzerland, and I was wondering, do I still need to download this update if I want the improved scenery or do I already have it since I have the most recent version of the sim installed? so for whatever reason when i play the new Microsoft flight sim on Xbox series s when i'm taxing along the taxiways the games ability to move the plane begins to fight me i end u having to get into physical argument with the game whenever the game thinks it's piloting the aircraft for me on the runways and taxi ways and this only happens when i land or as smooth as landing you can make for slight new comer to the game which you can imagine what it looks like but that besides the point after i land the game thinks it must control the aircraft and do whatever is the opposite of what i do and therefore it makes very hard to taxi down the taxi way and or runway...... WHY!?!?!…

I use to be able to hold either the right or left mouse button down (I can’t remember which one) and move around the cockpit view. Something has changed, not sure what but anyway I’m not able to move about the cockpit anymore. Anyone have any idea what I’ve done or how to get back. Thanks

Hi guys, If you come for XPlane, you know the outstanding XPRealistic addon. It adds so much in immersion and flying sensations I couldn't fly without it anymore. The addon is here and waiting for Asobo to add missing core camera functionality. I recently installed the Aerosoft CJR. In following the simbrief route and trying to capture the ILS/ glidescope, it does nothing. Even when nav1 has correct frequency, loc1 is selected, and the correct altitude is being flown?

Hi folks. I'm still that inexperienced guy trying to move up the learning curve. I have SimBrief and I watched videos of how to set up a flight plan and load it into the G1000 in the C172 stock plane (NXI G1000). I took off and then turned on the autopilot, assuming it would take over from there and fly the flight plan. However, it seemed the plane just kept circling around the airport, even though I could see the proper flight path on the screen. All the while this was happening, the ATC kept asking to reach the proper altitude faster. Can someone give me some advice regarding what I was seeing. If I were to play multiplayer, and had a plane that wasn’t a stock plane, how it would it show up/display for other people?

December last year I bought Sim Wings EDDH. Very nice and good looking airport and zo made multiple flights to it . Because of the wind always rw 15. A few days ago when Live Weather still was working I made a flight from Amsterdam to Hamburg with landing on rw 23. I came in at 3000 ft and when the localizer was alive I pressed Loc and immediately the ac turned to the right about 30 degrees and then went straight, Three times I have tried now. Also with manually lining up and then pressing App but also that leads to an immediately turn to the right away from the rw. Here a short vid. I installed the Bijan winter pack today. Does anyone else have snow everywhere? I am doing ORD-RSW and there has been snow on the ground all the way down to Florida. Is there any work around for that?

One of the big missing US airports in any sim for some reason. I've been in and out of DTW several times, this looks pretty good. Author describes it as a dev version and he's still working on it. I think the new Scenery Gateway should accept more than just airports, specifically VFR + Effects. Why stop at airports? We have all these photogrammetry bridges with curtains. They could be fixed by talented community developers. Same for World VFR why not include those sceneries in the base sim. Same goes for effects, for instance the new Fireworks effects. Why reinvent the wheel, include in the base sim and credit all the community developers.

Now, that we are in hard winter on the Northern hemisphere (actually not here in the Austrian Alpes) I'm wondering if we can land on snow on frozen lakes in the wilderness. I just tried it with the C172-skis version in the Whistler area in BC but it did not feel right. After the landing, skis and wheels were completely sunken in the snow/ice (?) and take off was impossible.

Hello guys, I want to switch my FBW A32NX version from Stable to the Development version. If I try to switch the version it always says ,,Retrying base module'' and after a few minutes it says ,,Oops, something went wrong''. Does anyone have the same problem or is there any solution to solve this problem. Thank you

Just installed the new Kodiak but every time i start a flight, i get a CTD. Cleaned the Communities folder but no effect. Deinstall / Reinstall the Kodiak, no effect, Tried different paintings, no effect. Even deinstalled the G1000 from the marketplace but still no effect Any Ideas?

And.. the Nearest page on the MFD is active and you can select a DTO destination 🙂 We are getting there!

Hi All, Happy New Year ! I have been flying the stable version for a while with zero issues, last week I tried the dev version and had a CTD so went back to the stable. Today I thought I would try the dev version and again got a CTD. The only addons I use are pushback toolbar addon by Ambitious pilots, the ShiftZ stats & Floyds epic clouds. All 3 of these work with the stable version, I was just wondering if anyone had come across issues with the dev version and any of these addons. I haven't had a huge amount of time to trouble shoot so I thought I'd ask here first Regards Richard

Hello everyone. I've been reducing my aircraft texture sizes for FSX and P3D4 with no problem at all. I mean, usually, 4k textures are too much for my systems (specs in signature), specially when I have just a 1920x1080 screen. I used this program for resizing these textures, and adding mips (unlike FS9, it gives me a better image quality without abusing of AA): Ordenador Optimizer Textures https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/12801 With that, I've resampled aircraft textures to either 2048 or 1024, and AI textures to 1024, so that my 1650 does not fall to its knees. My wife has finally kicked me out of the front room, so that is where the virgin hub is. Currently its on the ethernet cable andf gets about 240-250 mbps. Question is i am moving the PC so any idea the best mbps in real life, ignoring the recommended of 20 as i don't believe that. Have a 150mbps dongle in another PC which says 150 mbps but gets 50mbps... Dongle, 20m ethernet cable or any other options?

Is there a cockpit screen available on the NEO to view weather ? How do pilots know where the weather patterns are ? TIA
