I was signed up to open beta prior new year. So yesterday when update came. I signed off beta restarted PC and updated MSFS. The update showed 150gigs. OK, well it did happened before! So I spent whole day reinstalling the whole sim. Not my first not my last time.LOL However, I didn't back up my community folder and when fire MSFS again all my community content is gone! 🙄 I tried to search my sdd to find any trace of any add ons in some other location. I thought perhaps MSFS installation would back it up but no joy! MSFS installation wiped it out completely! LOL Here is my fresh 2022 start! I know there are a couple of ways out there for recording. Which is the most fluid and possibly resource friendly one according to your experience?

I’ve been using flight sims for many years and now I’m going to use MSFS alone. One major drawback for me is not having a fly-by camera like in X-plane or previous iterations of MSFS. Is there a way or an add-on to cover this? Thanks.

The new Discus-2c Glider is fantastic. And it is Freeware. Here is a video of my 4 screen system flying this great model using TrackIR as well. I use OpenTrack and GrassMonkey Puck, they work great together. I also use AirManager on the lower touch screen for instruments and to tune radios etc with Knobster. My 3 favourite models now are this glider, the H145 and the F16. Yes I enjoy the DC6 as well. But lately I like these 3 as the scenery is so spectacular in FS2020. It has really matured. Track IR is great and works perfectly for me at least. And I have not had a single problem in the last year, it just keeps getting better.

I've looked at a few videos on how to set up the TBM 930 "H" throttle using a Saitek TQ. I've been able to duplicate most of it except for moving the throttle into the fuel cutoff position. I can't seem to get past the low idle position. The videos I've been able to find predate SU7 so I am wondering if SU7 introduced some new challenges as far as the TBM throttle setup is concerned? I notice that my TrackIR device only has the left green LED light on, while the right is off. Is this normal? I thought both are suppose to be on?

I started getting low bandwidth notices every so often, but after this last update I get them everytime I start msfs2020 and it puts me offline. My bandwith is fine 100mbps. does anyone here know something about this?

When I try to add cargo or passengers to my Kodiak cabin - by filling in weights within the payload section of the top menu against the appropriate rows/seats - nothing appears. It did once when I first got the plane, I added some cargo and could see it appear in the cabin. Not sure what I have done for the animation to disappear - any thoughts?

The sim (1.21.18.0) was running great this morning when real life interfered and I had to take the G2 goggles off. Now, when I start the Sim (steam) I see the "FlightSim.exe has stopped working" message exactly 29-seconds from pressing Play in Steam. Or - 4-seconds after the mystery 30-second pause during which time flightsim.exe issues no commands to windows. I run ProcMon to capture ALL system events and then narrow down to the interesting stuff. I can see the command where Windows loads wersvc.dll (windows error reporting system) at 29.0xxx seconds. The flighsim.exe commands just prior to that call to WER are actually issued by Milviz_WASM_Helper.e…

Just curious. I just flew from Tampa to Tallahassee and had several waypoints out in the gulf. I can see how the could have them on the ground but how and where do they put them in water? Roy

If you do a Direct Airport is there a trick to get NAV to engage? Nothing happens. Also if you do a flight plan why dose it show the flight plan in FPL but not on G1000?

I've been using the dev build, and was wondering if the experimental version would be better since it includes everything that the dev version plus the addition of the updated LNAV+TCAS?

So here i am with FS2020 finally successfully installed and actually dedicating some time to setting it up. I installed some 20 addons, mostly airport scenery and boom: MSFS crashes at startup in the loading screen when showing the PC-6 picture at around 80% of the blue bar, 0x00000c5. In safe mode it runs normal. It is obvious one of the addons is causing the issue. Now I wonder if there is any way to identify the faulty addon without spending hours with trial and error. Any logfile or console or something like that?

Will you switch to that plane and tell me if the flaps lever works? Or the keyboard key or throttle button for flaps that you use? Everything on the plane works fine for me but the flaps will not move. They do sort of strain as if trying to move, but something is locking the flaps in position. The flaps move fine on all other planes, only they don't on the YAK18T The only 'lock' I can find is the lock lever in the image. It locks the prop pitch lever from moving. You can lock or unlock that prop lever. But I cannot unlock the flaps lever. That black knob on the right is the pneumatic system valve. Turning it on or off does not unlock the flaps. Th…

For reasons I don't understand I don't see a lot of others who comment on this but I find it a major annoyance--perhaps because the rest of the sim is so solidly smooth. A fix called the ATC Stuttering Fix worked quite well but that stopped w/ SU7 and the beta fix did not change that, at least for me it no longer works in fact prevents ATC from functioning at all. Anyway, here is a workable solution if this bothers you enough to intervene for your IFR flights: Keep the ATC window open while you are setting up your flight at the gate, since you're not moving you won't notice the stuttering that frequently accompanies ATC when a new line of speech and text line exec…

Is there a way to disable all external lights on the A320 ? With the L key they are being turned on but with another press on the L key they remain on. Only when pressing L continuesly the external lights are being turned off. But when I let go of L the lights are being turned on again With my Prosim setup with 2 view pc’s I cannot control the lights on the left view pc, so I use the A320 without VC . So with L all lights are turned on but I cannot turn them off. All suggestions are welcome.

Can individual photogrammetric cities be turned off ? For example, I have issues with Hamburg but Tokyo is fine.

I have been using software called 'Action' to capture my flights on MSFS 2020. The quality of the output, especially when recorded in 4K, is excellent, but the exported files tends to stutter, when viewed by the recipient. Now, that might be something to do with the settings or my rig. When I play it back within 'Action' before exporting it appears with no stuttering. So, I have two questions:- 1) Can anyone help me with 'Action' - is there something I need to do to stop the stuttering? 2) If I was to buy a new video capturing programme, to get high quality and no stuttering, what would you recommend? Couple questions I was hoping to get some help with on the new Kodiak. engaging the Yaw Dampener doesn’t seem to do anything. in other planes it will adjust the rudder trim to negate any sideslip. I can’t see the YD doing anything at all. How does it work in the Kodiak? The cabin/cockpit temp doesn’t seem to work. In the advert it says the cabin temp is affected by the ambient outside temp and you have to use the heaters or A/C to get the cabin correctly conditioned. However when I load the plane the temp is always at 25c. When I’m flying at 10,000’ and the OAT is -15c and the heaters are off, the cockpit is still 25c. How do you get the temperatur…

Hi I am running a full reinstall today. I am now at the point where I want to load all the updates in the content manager. I can load individual content items but when I select multiple items to download ( selected with the tick box) the process just stops. I wondered if anyone has experienced this?

Anyone know if you can turn the transponder on and off with a keyboard shortcut? I know that you can hit T but I don't know what that does. I also have Spadnext. Thanks in advance.
