Hello everyone, my MSFS Gateway website that lists hundreds of MSFS and P3D-related links sorted into categories, (e.g. aircraft, flight planning, scenery and many others) has been serving the flight sim community for 20 years and is still regularly updated. I hope you find it useful. Feedback and suggested additions are always welcome. Tony https://www.msfsgateway.com/

Tried downloading the latest version of MSFS2020. Initially, opened XBox, the update shows an error 0%, code 0x80070032. In Microsoft store, it tries to download then shows an error message stating "something happened at our end'. Tired starting MSFS2020, it doesn't download any update, just goes on and starts the simulator is its old version. When I do a search on the error code, one of the first suggestions is to uninstall and re-install the sim, which is not something I want to do. Anyone else had this problem and any suggestions as to the way forward? Thanks for any help Rob

Copied this from the Discord Simworks Studio.. #3 the Kodiak: The flight model of the floatplane is progressing well and the wheeled variant is being touched up too. The only task left is to code the gear warning lights to function like the real thing and re-work the soundset for hydroplaning sounds. Both planes will be updated in parallel and be on par with regards to fixes and features. The Kodiak update and Floatplane release are tentatively scheduled for February. I better get the credit card ready.

This new update has messed with panning when using TrackIR. Before, I could move my head freely and the camera would keep up with my movements. Now, there is noticeable and very distracting motion blur and loss of frame rate whenever panning or moving around quickly. I will say, overall, I'm seeing a loss in frames with this update. Im a user with very little addons and before, was lucky enough to use the simulator in almost any environment without degradation of FPS. I have to admit, I'm the author of a previous post that read: "Pleased with Update". However, after interacting with the sim for a while now, it seems like a mixed bag. The color banding is gone,…

Hi, has anyone noticed issues with tree height and addon airports? Even with REX set to the smallest tree setting - the trees are far too high compared to the ones that display with the addon airport. Thank you, Ian.

As I was descending into KLAX this evening, which is experiencing dense fog, the fog suddenly popped in, as did clouds on departure from KSLC. Definitely not fixed, not even better.

I am the proud owner of the Kodiak 100 and have watched numerous tutorial videos which have been very helpful. In some of these videos the camera 'moves' into the cabin/cargo area and the presenter demonstrates how you can open and close the cargo doors, add passengers and cargo etc. I have been trying to figure out as to how I could 'move' the camera into the cabin/cargo area. Initially, I though these might be the saved camera positions, but that is not the case. So, I tried the camera icon from the top menu, and if that is the answer, I could not figure it out. So, I need help as to how, I 'move' the camera into the cabin/cargo area, so that I can animate the open…

Been debating whether to spring for the yearly subscription of their basic plan which includes. It looks like it's only available for IPad? Is anyone using ForeFlight for MSFS?

I am afraid Track IR has not been fixed with todays update. In my case, when I hit pause, again it recenters,as after SU7,- I need TIR, when paused, to remain at the last position, so I can adjust knobs, etc.

Since SU7, IFR flight plans for the WT CJ4 created using LittleNavMap, that have worked perfectly for months, can be loaded into the sim using the World Map and then into the FMS, but they no longer work in NAV AP? All of the legs are present and everything looks OK. There is simply no NAV. In another forum they stated that SimBrief flight plans are the only ones that still work. Has anyone else encountered this?

I've been unable to download the update, so I can't use the sim. When I launch it, I am told there is a mandatory update. When I go to the MS Store, it only gives the option of purchasing the program. I downloaded the X-Box App (people shouldn't have to have all this stuff, but that another thing entirely...) and it tells me there is an update. I choose my version and click update but nothing happens. Any suggestions?

Hey guy, what's the key binding name to deploy the spoilers on the FBW A320 1 notch? My current setup deploys them 100% or 0%. I want just 1 notch per key press. What's that called? Thanks!

I attempted a flight from KIPL to KLAX using the Nxi in the C208. Origin- KIPL, Dest-KLAX. My first enroute waypoint was IPL (VOR). I had IPL highlighted on the G1000 flight plan then went to "MENU" then "LOAD AIRWAYS" and attempted to enter the V458 airway. The Nxi showed no airways available. I was able to enter the airway in Navigraph Charts from IPL so I assume Navigraph is not at fault. Any ideas what might be afoot? The Github forum for the Nxi said to use AVSIM to report bugs. Not sure if this is correct but I will start here.

This question has been on the back of my mind ever since the beta: Is there a logical reason for having the installation path be: x:/user/username/appdata/local/packages/crazylongdirectorynamethatlookslikeapassword&wkey8z931#(#)(*@^&../ Why not X:/Program Files/MSFS/ This isn't a rhetorical question - I'm actually curious if there is something about the way that MSFS is packaged that warrants or necessitates installing it in that path. It certainly causes a few headaches - especially since the community folder is something that is meant to be accessed by mere mortals on a regular basis. Some addons like AIG actually encounter the 256 character limit…

Updated to the release that dropped today and all appeared to be fine except I am mucking around with a few things to get my frame rate up as I added two touchscreen monitors today. I dropped from 35fps to 25fps (as expected). I have watched various YT videos and tried various settings in NVIDIA (basically let FS handle most things), no questions there unless you guys have something I should know about (in which case, please do mention it). I am running a 2080 so I know some sacrifices need to be made, thusly, I dropped from Ultra to High. Question - The one thing I picked up from a non-FS related video was to change the resolution in the game and up the render scali…

Ever since SU7 I've lost the ability to bind any control to reverse the prop in the C208B. I did receive some suggestions but none of them worked. After today's update (which listed a reverse throttle fix) I had.high hopes but they were immediately dashed on the first attempt, so it may have been for another aircraft. This is not a big issue as regular braking can handle many situations with the C208B, but it's always disappointing when something that used to function now doesn't. I have the Thrustmaster T.16000M with TWCS - I used to assign the prop reverse to a button on the TWCS. I have now tried reprogramming on the TWCS, other buttons, buttons on the joystick…

Interesting issue. I have tried to fly a flight plan created with Little Navmap in the PC6 but the throttle doesn't work. The animation works but the power remains at idle. I also tried in the Milviz Pc6 and no joy. Started the same flight in the C172 and the throttle works. Have now started the same flight in the PC6, but not from the flight plan, just the ordinary flight screen and the throttle is working. Can anyone else confirm this before I report it?

Feel free to move on if you have been on this forum for longer than a few weeks. This is from one noob to another. If you own this setup, you know by now that you have to manually bind everything on the yoke and you can't see the image of the yoke except greyed out with a question mark. The pedals are auto recognized and so is the TQ. I noticed out of the box, the plane would randomly veer off here or there, up or down, left or right. The first thing I did was to set the time at 8am, 40 degrees, zero winds, no gusts, clear skies, throttle at 2400 RPM, mixture rich, no flaps, trim set to 4%. Next, I started isolating settings under sensitivity for the yoke and ru…
