  1. I was wondering if Simstaller is a good tool for detecting conflicts in scenery (specifically airports)? The devs at //42 are highly respected in my world, anyone with experience? Can the tool scan for existing conflicts or do all installs have to run thru their product first in order to detect conflicts? Also Airport Override Checker for MSFS 2024 which I have no experience with ... thoughts?

  2. Hi all, I’m seeing pitch oscillations (“bobbing”) during step climbs in the PMDG 777. For example, climbing from FL300 to FL320, it climbs normally at first, but in the final stage it starts pitching up and down very erratically while trying to reach the selected altitude. It does eventually hold altitude, but the last part of the climb is quite unstable, even though VNAV shows it as achievable. The aircraft is around 300T GW, with OPT ALT is above the step climb alt. I’m using VNAV/LNAV with economic speed, realistic turbulence enabled, and I’ve already turned off AI auto-trim assistance. Thanks! Thanadee

'Hi all, In anticipation of SU5 we’ve just pushed a small update out to your Fenix Installers, mainly to resolve some issues with SU5 and the charts app. This update will also bring the built-in Navdata up to the latest free cycle of 2503. **2.4.0.4720** **Avionics and Systems** - Added new default Navigraph Navdata, cycle 2503 - Fixed some stability issues **Art and Sound** - [2024] Fixed incorrect fallback texture reference in flight deck window material **EFB** - Fixed map not working on the Charts app for users without Navigraph' Source

  4. I'm so tired of MSFS2024 mega stuttering on and around airports with FSLTL active, especially when I pan the view. My sim works fine at 50-60fps in dense areas (addon airport + FSLTL), but for example when I pan the view and look down at the pedestal, then after few seconds pan the view back up to look at the gates with all the AI, I can characterize it as frame freezes, not stuttering. FPS literally goes from 60 to 1-2 fps for couple of seconds, so I end panning the view 180 degrees instead just tiny bit. It happens every time I pan the view, and then pan the view back to look at the gates where the AI is, but it happens also without AI I think. Video uploaded to show it…

  5. Started by Rob G,

OK, I guess I should start with some background. I have a 7800X3D CPU, RTX 4090 GPU, and 64GB of 6000hz memory. I am using AutoFPS with FPS Cap, FPS set to 35 in AutoFPS, Max Framerate in sim, and Dynamic Settings in sim. All of my testing is with the Beachcraft Bonanza G36 Mod. What I am experiencing, in both 2D and VR, is that certain functions, when invoked, cause a stutter, while during normal straight flight I do not have stuttering. For instance, I take off just fine. Right after takeoff, I hit the control to put up the wheels. That causes a stutter. Then shortly after I hit the control to put up the flaps. That causes a stutter. Opening the toolbar a…

  6. Hi all I am on fast, fiber internet, a 5090, running in 4K. I run MSFS locked at 30FPS with 3X Frame Gen, and not the dynamic settings, but custom, most things on high. I am struggling with absolutely dreadful terrain and have been for about a week now. I have used the latest beta, and the current build of MSFS 2024. / My photogrammetry streams in well. I don't get stuttering. My LOD is fixed at 200 which has always served me pretty well. However my terrain, especially in the near distance looks like utter mush and has been all week. Are others getting this? Increasing LOD to 300, no improvement. The areas covered by PG look crisp, sharp…

Do you guys have much success with IFR? Flying in Alaska they always tell me to descend to a level that would put me straight into a mountain. When they do this, I end up cancelling IFR anyways. then when IFR is cancelled by me my copilot requests it again. Are there better alternatives I've never looked into 3rd party ATC.

  8. Howdy all, Just wanted to preview my recent project as I feel it's getting close. Have been frustrated for a long time that this lovely little airport in Northern California has never really been available, so decided to take a crack myself. Main features are the new terminal, FBO facilities, and replacing the odd default houses all over the GA area with proper custom and library hangars. Don't really have the skillset yet, so nothing fancy like new ground ortho or custom ground polygons unfortunately. Will add fencing and other security features and then version 1.0 should be good to go. Please note the static aircraft are just there for scaling. Any feed…

  9. Started by hangar,

I am surprised to see that the Hondajet is so heavy in feel when you fly it in the sim. It has very little movement in air, for me, to the point where it feels almost too stable for such a light aircraft. When you roll and pitch she feels more like a 747 than a tiny, nimble jet. So I looked it up and found that AI says this about the real one (AI seems to be wrong more than it's correct these days so I dunno what to make of it): AI SAYS: No, the HondaJet is widely described as light, nimble, and "sports car-like" in its handling, rather than feeling heavy during flight. Instagram +1 Key details regarding the flight feel of th…

  10. SOLVED - The problem files were in LEGACY effects, not effects. Hi all Every time I fire up a new version of MSFS or a new aircraft the first thing I do is disable the over the top shimmering heat effects. I'm stumped how to erase it with the Fly By Wire on 2024 though. I've gone into my game folder, and packages, and edited all the FX_HEAT files, changed the files to .disabled. I've gone into the aircraft config file and erased all the bits of FX_HEAT code in that one, and it's caused the sim to crash on startup. Tearing my hair out here. It's such an overblown effect when looking out of the cabin. Any ideas what to do next? T…

  11. When I started MSFS 2024 this morning, 2 items that were in the top toolbar/menu yesterday have disappeared, & some aircraft in the Community folder that were showing up yesterday are now not appearing in the aircraft line up although their files are still in the CF. Somewhat confusing, as nothing was changed overnight. Anyone else experiencing this? T45

  12. HeatBlur (of DCS World fame) are bringing their F-4E Phantom to MSFS - possibly in just a few weeks! 😁 BUT, this isn’t looking to be just another mid-grade mil jet port… Instead of letting India Foxt Echo handle most of the conversion as with the previous F-14 collaboration (which simply never measured up to the DCS version in physics or systems), it seems like they’ve gone this one alone - AND are using their own proprietary external code to achieve their (VERY high) fidelity standards. This is FANTASTIC news for everyone who really loves “the feel of flight” in an addon. Depending on how successful they are, we should FINALLY have a Fast Jet that is…

No answer yet from BATC If anyone has 5 minutes to spare If you have astralisstudios KBCT. See if it hangs at 20 percent opening BeyondATC. Tried everything on my computer and it will not load. I want to know if its just me or not.

  14. I am posting this here because the technical review is now complete, and I want to explain the issue clearly and without exaggeration. This concerns the current OEJN MSFS matter only. During the dispute, the developer side supplied the MSFS airport-layout XML themselves. That file was then compared against my original OEJN source. The issue is not a generic “same airport” overlap, and I am not claiming a literal 100% unchanged copy of every asset. The point is narrower and more specific than that: the completed technical findings identified repeated structured correspondence between the developer-supplied MSFS XML and my original OEJN source in stand layout…

  15. High quality freeware developer Bagolu has released his latest project; The ICP Savannah LSA/UL/Light bush plan. He had shared some Betas, with limited funcitonality, but this is the first full release. Very high quality, with tons of configuration / GPS/ AP options. MSFS2020 and MSFS2024 compatible. Check it out! https://flightsim.to/addon/107430/i-c-p-savannah-s

  17. Hi everyone, I’m having an issue with jetways in MSFS while using GSX. At some airports, the jetway connects automatically by itself, but when I request deboarding through GSX, the jetway immediately disconnects. The only way I can reconnect it is through the MSFS ATC window, but as soon as I close the ATC window, it disconnects again. I’m also experiencing something similar with pushback: it starts automatically on its own, I have to stop it via the MSFS ATC, and after a short time it starts again by itself. It feels like MSFS is constantly overriding GSX or triggering ground operations without any input from me. Has anyone experienced this or kn…

  19. Flying from KSEA to PANC causes a WASM crash somewhere around the south east area of Alaska. This has happened twice now. So I'm curious if anyone can reproduce it. Maybe it could be when it enters or gets close to the WITTI5 star

  20. I bought FSoares A330 livery pack in the MSFS Marketplace. I bought it because it includes a Satcom/Wifi Dome option which the default one does not have. I want to able to add liveries that I downloaded from flightsim.to to that Satcom model. Is there a way I can do that?

  21. So I've seen how AI can try to enhance a blurry photo and enhance it into what it thinks is best. Is it theoretically possible to implement this in Microsoft flight simulator? Like having some AI software visually improve the photogrammetry?

  22. 'iniBuilds TriStar Airliner V1.0.1 Update 🚀 This is the first update for the TriStar Airliner! Following the incredible response since release, we want to say a huge thank you for all the support and feedback so far. Version 1.0.1 focuses on refinement, stability, and improving the overall experience across the aircraft. The update brings a wide range of fixes to core systems, including improvements to autopilot and flight director behaviour, VNAV/PMS performance, ILS logic, and engine/pressurisation systems. Numerous cockpit interactions and annunciations have been corrected, alongside better handling of spoilers, autobrake, and environmental systems for more…

  23. So I've been studying up on the Cessna 208 and flying that in MSFS2020 for the past week, and I have some questions about using the Trim wheel vs the yoke Electric Trim switch. I have the Logitech yoke and throttle quad, but no hardware trimming wheel - I have elevator trim bound to B1 and B2 on the yoke, which should mirror a real 208 as I've seen on Youtube. In those videos on youtube of the real thing, I noticed the pilot adjusting trim with the yoke switches for most of the approach right up to landing, and I was surprised - I was under the impression you "Set Trim for landing" according to the checklist, and then leave it, using the yoke to do the majority of the wor…

  24. Can anyone confirm that the MSFS 2024 "Save custom camera views" option is broken and or is there a fix for this? I have tried all the different key combinations like Ctrl + Alt + number etc with no success. Anybody got any clues?

  25. I’m running into a really frustrating issue and wanted to see if anyone else is experiencing the same thing. I’ve got my sim pretty well dialed in on MSFS 2024 — after a lot of tweaking, all my other aircraft are running perfectly. Everything is nice and smooth, no stutters, and overall performance is exactly where I want it. But the FlyByWire A320 is a completely different story. For some reason, it absolutely tanks my sim. I’m getting constant stutters, really slow panning, and just overall poor performance — even with cockpit refresh rates set to low. It honestly feels like a completely different sim compared to everything else I’m flying. I’ve trie…
