Microsoft Flight Simulator (2020/2024)

Looks like Carenado's next aircraft is a King Air 200 (BE20). Appears to be a classic gauge setup. This is generally what they're better at. The PL21 on the Premier was a bust. I'm assuming it will support the usual TDS, PMS GTN avionics and WT GNS 530s. I definitely have some paints in mind if it's paintable. (jpeg compression is pretty bad on these pics but I think it looks decent). I'm guessing the usual good visuals, okay-ish flight model and mediocre sounds hehe.

Greetings all, has anyone seen this issue I have linked in the videos before? I have had this on and off and I have my settings set to medium. I have a 5070TI with a 7800x3d with 32G memory on this computer. But I will also see this on my other computer with a 5080, 9950x3d and 64G of memory. It's not always present. One thing I noticed is it only happens now when I taxi or I am in movement. If I hold the brakes, it stops. I was flying from the East to San Francisco in ms2024, trying a new plane, the Carenado King Air 200. I could see no landing strip on arrival, air traffic but no runways! EFB says I'm there but nothing is seen down below. It felt like the Twilight Zone. 😕I had accidentally turned on Redwintg's 1935 KSFO where the airport is a short, narrow dirt strip with a few wooden shacks on the side. The Redwing throwback was covering up the Asobo version of KSFO.

I saw a video that kind of sold me on these two as addons as essential for v2024. The one thing I miss from XPRealistic is the slight head shakes and forward and back body movements. I'm giving these two add-ons serious consideration. One concern I have is, will I still be able to access my new cams with my number key pads the way I do with default cams? Thanks.

I am doing a late day approach into KPVU Provo UT and am super impressed with the lighting. Cloud lighting is also spectacular. I don't do pics but can anyone else support me on the lighting improvements in MSFS 2024? dd

Hi, I know that 2024 has its own streamed TBM 930 version, but visually, I like the interior of the 2020 version better. Unfortunately, the 2020 version comes with the WT G3000 v1, and simply changing the panel.cfg file to the v2 equivalent results in really dim gauges, pretty much useless. Has anyone figured out what needs to be changed in the interior xml file to brighten up the avionics? I find these templates etc to be very confusing.. Help!

Sitting on ramp cold and dark. I had just updated a control profile and hit save & back - got the screen I expected but on the entire left side was a mystery box with all kinds of performance and usage measures. What app or process is producing the mystery box ? How do I kill it? I could move the cursor but clicking or scrolling with mouse did nothing. ALT + F4 did not kill anything. I had to use task manager to kill FS2024. Win 11 / Beta 2024

I would like to add the two Boeing throttle handles as seen in Honeycomb's advertising of their Bravo Throttle Quadrant Lite version, yet there is no listing of these under their accessories or spare parts at their website. Does anyone know about how to get a pair or is there any other sources for something similar one has in their cockpit (and likes them)? Thx Clutch

Greetings, Just purchased the Carenado 210 for 2024 and have a few flights. For some reason I am having an issue with the GNS 530. I can't get the frequency cursor to move from the Com window to the VLOC window. You are supposed to press on the knob, but it doesn't work. Is there a click spot there I can't find? Anyone else have this problem? Also, I initially had a problem on takeoff where the plane swerves to the left. Others have reported the same issue. I found that a gradual increase in power along with right rudder gets the airplane to track straight. For the price I like it but typical Carenado. Great looking but released with flaws. It w…

I wrote in the original post that Microsoft had dropped FFB support on Win11, so the app was Linux-only. Turned out I was half right — the old HID-PID path is gone, but DirectInput still drives the stick fine. I ported the device layer, and FFB2 effects now work end-to-end on Windows 11 against both MSFS 2024 and X-Plane 12. I'm installing the AIG fleet and traffic controller. So far so good. I just finished the USA. I'm now installing Global. Does it include South American Airliners? Both SA & ASIA are not currently available for fast install. I want to see if I can use AIG to replace my FSLTL fleet and injector when doing VFR flights. I will also test using BATC. Any tips are appreciated. Such as ideal setting in TC. I want some ground traffic, but nothing too crazy. I saw a video where vehicles in KMIA were behaving like it was I95. 😀 Thanks.

...is no longer functioning. I noticed that I could no longer pan charts in the g3000 and g5000 using the GTC touchpads a few weeks ago. This was a great feature of the Garmin simulations in such aircraft as the TBM and Longitude and simulated the real unit's performance I don't know if this is a glitch from an update or some other issue, but I sure miss the capability. I've attempted to pan the charts with the joystick, but get no response. The touchpad just goes dark and doesn't respond.

Hello everyone! I started flight sim with FSX a long time ago now and have also used P3D a lot in the past. I have always used GSX in the respective simulator and remember "Aviationlads" soundpack for GSX. I find the standard soundpack from FSDT to be too generic and roboty and was wondering if there are any sound mods for GSX Pro in FS24 (yet)? Hello friends, Just sharing a few early tests for KOAR, another fun coastal airport in California, formerly the airfield of Fort Ord. It is now a GA field with significant facilities for Joby Aviation. This airport is fun because it is just a few minutes' flight from KSNS, KMRY, and KWVI, all of which are well covered by other developers. There will be a lot more to do on this one, so these are just some early tests. MSFS doesn't have Monterey cypress trees common to the area, so I made a batch. If they look too strange please let me know.

So what was largely missing for the weather radar for MSFS 2024 was the tilt function. My understanding was that it was Asobo who upgraded the weather radar capabilities a few years ago so that it was 3D, but they didn’t add the tilt feature. Anyways, it looks like Working Title picked up the slack and there will be a tilt feature in SU5: With the tilt function, I think that is the last major missing feature for the weather radar in MSFS 2024?
