Microsoft Flight Simulator (2020/2024)

Hi All, I recently purchased a new system which includes an Intel I7 and a RTX 4080. When in the graphic settings in MSFS, the "DLSS Frame Generation" option in not enabled. The text to the right when you put the curser on the option says:- " Change windows setting in "Display>Graphics and change default graphics to "Hardware-Accelerated GPU Scheduling", which I have and restarted the pc, but still the option is still not enabled. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks for looking. John.

Can't get my Longitude to follow NAV mode, from waypoint to waypoint I have to hit direct and activate it. This just started after Update 13, any else with this problem and a possible fix? Thanks guys! John

I'm experiencing some issues with the JFK Inbuilds scenery. I reached out to them three or four days ago to inquire about transferring my INIMANAGER license, but I haven't heard back yet. I did read on their forum that they're working on improving texture issues with low visibility, which is encouraging. However, I did notice some uneven taxiways and runways in certain areas. It's important for this scenery to have attention to detail, especially when it comes to fixing the leading lights for runways 13L/R. The inbuild lights are too dim and misplaced in some areas. hi, When i f'y the msfs ATR...i was offset of the LNAV line by 1,6 nm left...i don't know the issue is because a using navigraph database for MSFS...and when i look in the msfs forum for the ATR i don't see this issue. Thank you Philippe Tremblay

Hi everyone. I'm new to MSFS 2020. What I'd like to do is use MSFS to show visuals only, while the aircraft (instruments, cockpit, etc.) is rendered elsewhere, outside of MSFS. That part is done; what I need to know is on the MSFS side of things. Is it possible to remove the aircraft completely, so that you sit in an invisible cockpit? Or an entirely absent cockpit? No cockpit textures, no gauges, nothing at all, just and empty screen that shows the outside world? And if this is possible, are there any performance implications for the external world display? (Does MSFS draw the outside world more smoothly if it isn't busy drawing a cockpit and flight instruments?) …

Started MSFS. I'm in World and selected Airport. Go to select start location, but its only puts me in the "The Air". Clear it reset is and again shows me in the air for start position. Changed start airport just to see what happens and again starting me in the air. "Silly computers" ! ! ! ! Any idea what happened with this? Thanks Walt

I bought and installed this plane from marketplace and MSFS crashes everytime unless I load in safe mode. I have tried reinstalling it and still have the same problem.

Hi, everyone, What do you think of Hawaii terrain textures? I recognize that Oceania is an area where I fly very rarely. But after the WU13 update, I thought there would have been major improvements. So today I visited PHKO (Kona) and, later, I flew around PHNL (Honolulu). Sincerely, I don't like at all what I have seen. Perhaps it would be more interesting not updating such large geographical areas and concentrated, with each update, on smaller areas. Greetings.

It seems a lot of people have issues with the autopilot going crazy. I just had a nice, uneventful flight over a few hours, mostly controlled by AP, but noticed that, once I go into Active Pause, that's when it lost its mind. It looks like the problem is not actually caused by the autopilot, but by the plane itself. I was working on a generic AP, so I tried checking and resetting all kinds of parameters, but no no avail. BUT — once I reloaded the plane, all problems went away! So, if you have developer mode turned on, just reload the plane, and everything should be fine again. Hello, MSFS, it appears that CTDs here and there are just going to be something that we have to deal with. Whether it be an unstable graphics driver or just the wrong time of the week. As I see it my options are crash 3/4 of the way through a 4 hour flight OR find a way to recover somewhat where I left off. Now one of the problems with these complex aircraft like the PMDG 737 is the complex nature of the FMS, you cannot just slew your way to 38k ft and plug in your flight plan again. While waiting for MS to re-enter the game I moved over to X-Plane for a few years and while there I found this wonderful little app called xChecklist (https://forums.x-plane.org/index.php?/files/file/20785-xchecklist-linwinmac/) that you could build out your own checklist for any plane you wanted and it knew about all the systems. If a checklist item was already set it was already marked as checked and you just moved to the next item. You could set it up as one long list or break it into multiple phases of flight. Hey ATR flyers, Just bought the bird and, although I haven't flown it yet, I am mightily impressed with the visuals and audio! Just one alarm going off for me - have others found that not a single AP key shortcut works with this plane? I know a number of planes that have custom APs will not use the standard key shortcuts, and I can live with that. In fact there's only one set of shortcuts that I personally cannot live with, and that's the heading bug. I've never come across a single plane in any MS simulator - since the Airsimmer A320 in 2009 - where the key shortcuts for the heading bug - and + do not work ...... until now. OK not another why doesn't MSFS does this threads but another one of those MSFS is just what the doctored ordered threads. My last 5 flights in the HJET have been flawless. Admitting that I don't have access to the previous sim RealAir planes but Iavionics and weather and yes even online AI have been superb. I've bought all 4 BQ steam gauge aircraft. I haven't messed with the Baron yet. However, I have a weird issue. When I take off in the Caravan the AP comes on automatically. It has no FD with the TDS 750 it would seem, so I have no idea how that can happen. In the Bonanza, the FD comes on after I land, somewhere along my taxi to parking. I didn't notice this in the King Air, but I've only been out twice with it (still learning). I'm using the TDS GTN750 and only use click spots in the cockpit to activate things. I don't use keyboard shortcuts on these planes. I have the Thrustmaster Boeing Yoke and do use the trim buttons. It's very weird. Could there be a s…

I have tried without success here and elsewhere no luck Each time i load FS2020 i get the :microsoft store package dependcy installer popup- i always say no to allowing it to make changes however the sim loads to the last splash screen and then stalls Any ideas on how to get rid of this popup or the cause would be appreciated This has only been happening in the last 5 days, prior to that never had this pop up I have signed out and back in with ms account and xbox and installed latest Nvidia drivers but no changes to my problem Thanks

I use the thrustmaster yoke and throttle quadrant (mostly with the Fenix A320). The throttle quadrant works great, but I’ve been having issues with the yoke, specifically the twist “rudder” function. I mainly use the twist function as a tiller on the ground for nose wheel steering but I sometimes get no response, sometimes a random turn to the left, sometimes in the middle of a turn it just stops and I have to use my rudder pedals to finish the turn. I’ve noticed when I disconnect the AP (general on finals) that the A320 tends to sway (yaw) from side to side. I assume this is a yoke problem too.
