Microsoft Flight Simulator (2020/2024)

Just wondering if anyone has experienced this issue and if it has a simple solution by turning down a particular slider or something. I have fairly old system with a 1070 in it, but it gives me surprisingly good performance. Amazing performance if you consider all the groaning on here by people who have issues with 4080s and 4090s and the like. Before you say throw the old piece of junk away, let me say I am waiting to hear everyone finally say VR is perfection and then I will redo everything with the latest and greatest hardware needed for that. I recently purchased pro atc sr and fs2crew for my pmdg 737. My question is that since both have co-pilots which one should I use? I assume that if both are used that there would be a conflict. thanks Phill Dant

Hey there, I want to manually install repaints for AI Models in MSFS that are not covered by Alpha India Group's AIGAIM program. For example Nordwind Airlines. AIG doesn't provide a package for this airline, so I wanted to try to install liveries on my own. I just need them for VATSIM model matching, so I don't require any flightplan, just the repaint. Any excitement on the World Hub feature entering Alpha? Did someone here applied and got news? For those who skipped the last SDK Live Stream, it's a basic way to improve the .xml definition of ignored airfields/airports by fixing for example taxiways organisation/signs, close vegetation... despite Eric Pellisier mentionned MSFS library would be accessible but no custom 3D objects addition possibility. Just a general musing, but I seem to remember when Dovetail tried to restart the MS Flight Sim franchise years ago there were a couple of Aces programmers with inside knowledge who stated it was a big mistake for them to not use the MS Flight code, which was developed in 64 bit by Aces and was much more efficient, rather than trying to reuse the old FSX code and port it to 64Bit. I wonder if many of the issues we are seeing are related to the same decision by ASOBO to use the FSX code rather than the Flight code. Was it hubris, or were there things behind the scenes that made this direction the logical choice?

Hi, I would appreciate some help with the settings for my HOTAS thrustmaster throttle when binding with the Asobo ATR. I would like to be able to apply thrust to each engine separately if required, and therefore selected dual axis in the throttle setup section of the EFB. That done, I selected throttle axis 1 & 2 in the control options of MSFS, and that achieved the object of being able to apply thrust independently to each engine. I then calibrated each of the two throttles in the EFB - for idle, notch and ramp thrust settings. The idle setting does not take into account the reverse thrust detent on the HOTAS thrustmaster throttle, so when the HOTAS thrust…

I have no trouble flying all the other planes ---default and payware. I am able to see all the dials and numbers clearly. The ATR panel, however, is the only one which forces me to squint in order to see the airspeed or any other text while I am flying. Unless I magnify it to an unrealistic size, I might as well fly without an instrument panel. I am surprised that very few people in this forum comment on this. Is it only me?

Can anyone help me understand what’s going on here? I’m struggling to get above 30fps but the main problem is stuttering. I have a i7 10900 and an RTX2080 super. I know this isn’t the newest or best hardware but surely I should be getting better performance. I’ve seen posts from people with similar or worse setups with better performance. Even running low or medium preset with both LOD sliders to the lowest setting, no traffic, boats cars etc all off, I still get no more than 35-40 fps and stutters. I’ve tried VSYNC on and off, I’ve tried locking it to 30 in nvidia settings. I’ve tried so many things I’ve read online, followed numerous guides. I’ve reinstalled msfs twic…

Hi everyone, I've been loving the FBW A320 neo in msfs doing a few short flights around Europe for my VA.... But the time has come to do more long hauls with either the 747 (cargo) or something like the A330. But every thing Ive managed to find thus far has either been bugged out (salty 747, no efb) or just does not follow Lnav A330...... Can anyone recommend a good long haul flyer? and is there anything to be excited about thats about to be released? Cheers all Kirk

Simbrief support and payload via the EFB. a manual is planned but no date yet. Ok, everybody should get ready for the new version of Fshud. I am now participating in the 1.3 Beta and it is the best offline Atc and AI experience I had in twenty years of Flightsim. And yes I own all the Atc addons! They totally reworked the voices, the AI is now great in combination with Fsltl liveries. It actually controls all the AI not like background Atc. This is one of the things in which it now really shines. All the aircraft are really talking to Atc and moving real-time because FsHud injects and seperates the traffic itself and now does a really, really good job with this! They fixed so many bugs, it is almost like you fly on Vatsim but then off…

OK, we have now had 7 software updates (SU7) and I still have many flights where MSFS ATC stops talking to me. I only here the co-pilot responding to ATC. At this point I wonder if my installation of MSFS is bad? It seems to me that hearing ATC is a very important function. I wonder if users of PILOT2ATC or PF3 also have this failure? Thanks, \Jim

Is anyone else getting this error? MSFS was working fine 24 hours ago. Nothing's changed and I still get the same error with nothing in the Community folder and after updating to the latest graphics driver. This error occurred before today's update (March 30). I'm pretty certain it's not the graphics card or driver. Why? Because P3D and DCS flightsims and another graphics demanding game is still working. So it's got to be MSFS right?

Has been achieved! After two decades of 30 FPS fixed and then 40 FPS fixed... Frame generation with 4090 and 7950X CPU using TAA with G-Sync = WOW! I have this running with G-Sync on an LG-C1 and I am gobsmacked. Its silky smooth, and with TrackIR it IS the holy grail! My initial reaction was WOW, and now it is double WOW! I mean out of big hubs at 120 FPS (max fps/hz my TV can do!) it is unbelievable. I even had traffic running and everything on Ultra. Can anyone share their experience with Steam and Microsoft Store and which one is more preferred or popular? I bought it from Microsoft Store and don't have much knowledge on this topic. If anyone has switched between the two, please explain which one you find better and why. Thank you.
