Microsoft Flight Simulator (2020/2024)

Good news and bad news with this KJFK scenery from Inbuilds. The good news is that the transfer to INIMANAGER was successful. However, there is an update to V 1.0.2 that includes some improvements, but unfortunately, there are still issues with uneven pavement on the taxiways and runways in many areas. This can causes big issues during taxiing, takeoff, and landing. Texture problems are also noticeable at the terminal buildings, especially in low visibility conditions. It seems like the quality control and attention to detail people may not be on board with this.

Anybody knows the reason why i can't get the correct total fuel and payload at the screen? It says total of 1kg (fuel) and 5kg (payload) instead of 1736 kg (fuel ) and 5306 kg (payload) thanks

Hi Guys, I am wondering if anyone could steer me in the right direction. On startup some days ago, I received the mandatory download requirement which I was expecting as part of the WU 13 Oceania and Antarctica. The mandatory update completed successfully and the game then started with the WU 13 splash screen replacing the WU 12 NZ update splash screen. Once the game started I checked the marketplace and there was the ATR. I then went to the Content Manager area to download and install the WU13 but nothing was there. I have since shutdown and re started the PC (not just the game) several times and still nothing to suggest I have anything to download in the Co…

From the Navigraph Discord SimBriefSimBrief Developer 3d Hi, I’ve added a new download format for the ATR. Look for “Microsoft ATR 42/72” in the list. You might need to regenerate your latest flight plan for it to show up however. Let me know if it works as expected. If the aircraft does not properly import a route, please try restarting the flight and then importing into a “fresh” instance. I noticed sometimes the ATR’s import stops working after a while. If it still fails to import, please upload the .flp file here and I’ll take a look. Best regards,

Hi All, I have bought the boxed version of MSFS 2020 However I have upgraded to a new system without CD drive (normal they said with new systems and no place in the case for this) So now I can't play the game because it needs the CD inserted. Anyone an idea how to fix this in my situation ? Edward

Hi, After having used Flight Simulator for more then 30 years, I thought I would know how to fly the Cessna 172. Apparently not 😁 Seriously... I bought WBSim C172 mod and try to play a little bit with it. Didn't realize that it saved states and now my battery is empty. How can I reset? Avionics obviously aren't working either, so I can turn the ADF on. Anyone one? (Yes, I have read the manual, it gives no clues as far as I can tell) Egbert P.S. Also I can't toggle the alternator master switch in the cockpit with the mouse (click/rotaty) Is that by design?

For no apparent reason, my Caribou Garmin instrument is blank - even when starting the aircraft on the runway with engines running! I have not flown the aircraft before, and yet have seen online videos where the instrument is live and operating when pilots have commenced with engines running. I have both the 430/530 WT instrument as well as the 430/530 Compatibility fix installed from the Content Manager - could one or both of these be the problem? If anyone has a solution, I'd be glad of your help! TIA!

Can anyone recommend a good YouTube or series to help me get to grips with this aircraft? There's no manual and there are quite a few YouTubes, but they can be quite long and can show people just stumbling around and applying trial and error. I can stumble around without a manual quite easily by myself. What I'm hoping for is the person(s) who has/have absolutely cracked it and can go through a cold and dark procedure efficiently without any of this 'Oh, that didn't work' business. TIA.

Hello, Sometimes I don't know where to fly in FS2020. It's too big a world... I 've found this neat application: https://flight-route-finder.web.app/ I select a departure airport, a min and max distance and it generates 10 flights. If you click on one of the suggested flights, it draws the corresponding flight in skyvector. Simple and easy to use.

Mine is a story of frustration and disappointment. I am (or I should say, trying to) run MSFS 2020 on PC Windows 10. My pc spec is well above minimum requirements etc. Having installed MSFS 2020 to my D drive I have had many hours of flying fun, but now, as far as i am concerned, it's just not worth the bother. Some time ago I downloaded and installed the update before the New Zealand one, and the sim wouldn't work anymore, i can't remember the exact problem I was having, but it was a loading problem. I was watching YT Live from Heathrow & the LOT 737 Max 8, (SP-LVD), landed with a livery I hadn't seen before. Patriotic in theme, it made me wonder if this special livery would have been applied at Renton, or by custom painting somewhere else, & if so, where? T45

I use to be able to zoom in and out with the mouse wheel. Whatever I did, I lost the mouse wheel zoom. Anyone know the options I need to set in the profile to get the Mouse wheel zoom function back? Thanks Walt

I have read about some great immersion outcomes using the TrackIr 5. I'm still not getting that. Can anyone suggest a video instructing on how to set-up and calibrate the system for MSFS, preferably for a non-IT type user? Second question, I have a three monitor (Nvidia surround) setup. This is a must in multiplayer, one folder with ALL the aircraft in the Community folder or divided by categories if you want etc… Someone with skills could start this project and share it e.g. in flightsim.to, gathering already freeware external models in the net and modifying the characteristic to match the payware or freeware aircraft to be shown in online mode for the other users. Any person or developers could add their exterior models only with a basic picture of the interior or so and they promote their product in that manner. I know i know every system is different and there's a million threads and posts about performance, but im running out of ideas and i look for some expertise from my fellow simmers. Here's my situation, picture a heavy airport with a airliner, i get 30 plus fp's in DX11 and 60 plus using DX12 using DLSS, but in both i get massive stutters(with FPS drops) taxiing, sometimes panning... and takeoffs and approaches are a stutter feast, in the air everything runs smooth...i tried every combination i can recall, vsinc, no vsinc in the simulator and in nvidia inspector, from low end to ultra settings the result is always the same. Not getting any support from FlyTampa, wrote on their board about a month and a half ago about a Las Vegas runway problem and have not heard back from emilios yet. I received advice from others for a couple of days but no solutions were found. Btw, the problem is that Runway 26R was in a trench and I erased and reinstalled the scenery and eliminated the scenery indexes. Also, forgot to mention that scenery was bought thru the msfs flight simulator store itself. Any suggestions and/or help would be appreciated, Darryl

Something so I could check them out but most announcements are very convoluted with all the fixes, bugs, issues, etc. Is there something out there that would suit my needs? Thx for any suggestions. Answer: Real. Very real. Have been flying it all day using the Asobo tutorials but just as importantly the early tutorials by Jonathan Beckett were a game changer for me. Don’t believe all the negative news. It’s #FakeNews. The plane is real, flies quite well and is full of lots of little surprises and nuances.
