Microsoft Flight Simulator (2020/2024)

Not sure if it is just me but lately I only choose to fly 1 plane in MSFS and that is the MG HJET. Reasons are performance range and simplicity. Not to say it is a simple aircraft but with a very cool VNAV and G3000 avionics it allows me to get into the air quickly and fly one of my 800 mile routes with ease. Capable planes in MSFS abound but wondering if and why folks choose just 1 bird to fly. Cheers sp

Hello, was flying the PMDG 737 and had to step away so I hit escape key and selected load from PC (I read that pauses the pmdg plane). Anyway I came back 15 mins later and fps were at around 9fps. Before pause, fps were 84 or so. so I just shut the sim down. I'm on a 13700, rtx 4080. ultrawide monitor, 32mb ram, using fstl. Has anyone had this issue?

Say what you like about Aerosoft, I like the look and functionality of the EFB. The pushback feature is a win, perhaps other aircraft 3PDs could follow Aerosoft's design here?

I think we can all agree that MSFS is desperately short of Rotax powered STOL bush planes (/s) so here's another one - the Flyboy Simulations Rans S6S. Hey guys, I have rolling cache enabled at 100gb as my internet in my area is getting updated but at 50mbps atm which is word not allowed. Do I need to delete it delete it every so often? for performance. Or leave it be ? As I mainly fly on the east coast of Australia Sydney, Brisbane ,Melbourne , Canberra etc etc thanks mike

When I was flying, I had ATC audio communications earlier in the flight but a few minutes later I am not hearing the traffic calls?? Just the text in the ATC window. I can hear the responses from the CoPilot. Just not any other audio. Any Ideas? Thanks!

After some weeks with warbirds and the Porter, I fired up the Cabri again today. What a pleasant machine ! Not easy without being overly difficult, the constant trade-offs between power and attitude, horizontal and vertical velocities while flying along roads and rivers in rugged terrain are a lot of fun. Asoso made a real beauty. She is a little slow and not good to fly above 6/7 000 feet, these are the only things one could find default with. Hello, I can't put my finger on it but I feel like my performance in big cities is worse than it used to be. Recent flights in New York (inibuilds JFK and Toronto (FlyTampa CYYZ) have been FPS grinds, with my system struggling to get 30fps with frame generation on (so ~15 fps without). If I turn off AI traffic, I do get up to around 40 fps with frame generation on (20fps without) which is better but still not stellar. Outside of big cities I can easily be around 80-100+ FPS. I can remember flying out of Toronto and getting nearly 30fps when I had my 2080ti and no frame rate generation. I didn't change any settings when I moved to the 4080. I know that my CPU i…

The A310 was working fine previously but for some reason now on landing (default scenery) it's a bit like a slideshow. I have a relatively high-end system and as I said I never had this problem before, so not sure if it's come through an update or something. Anyone else experiencing this?

Does anyone know if it’s possible to turn off the annoying “Simulator flight plan detected” that pops every time you open the charts in the in-game panel?

These seem to be popping up on the marketplace for every city known to man, but has anyone tried them? My city has just appeared and I’m considering it if it’ll be a substantial improvement on what I already think is pretty decent night lighting.

Seems like an interesting question since IMO MSFS does alot of things right. My answer to the question then is the franchise brings in so many third parties that it is now the most formidable flight sim for growth. Just the fact that ASOBO / Microsoft have latched onto an owned platform with only growth in the future. I'm sticking around to watch. sp

When I load FSLTL most a/c do not show any wheels. The fact that other airport vehicles driving between the a/c even show rotating wheels makes this looking very strange when the a/c has none. Is there any setting that can cause this, or is it just another MS LOD issue?

All day today (May 21 starting at 1400Z and it is now 2000Z) I keep getting kicked offline due to slow network despite my network monitor showing a consistent 520Mbs connection. Any ideas why this problem has lasted so long? It is usually quite intermittent but now occurs 100% of the time. When I go into the sim settings and turn online back on I get a message "Applying" and and round circle spinning at the bottom of the screen. After several minutes the "bandwidth too low" message reappears and I am never able to turn Data online back on. I eventually have to kill MSFS. Nothing else running - No map enhancement or any other add ons.

Very often, and only lately, the plane's cockpit view goes crazy and pans to the right. I have removed all the mods, but still the same. Can anybody help me?

I'll bet this has happened to a fair few users here, but it's the first time it's happened to me. After a many weeks of no major problems, suddenly today I can't get past the initial loading screen. I've done the usual (simple) voodoo: 1) Rebooted PC. 2) Disabled all Community addons. 3) Cleared rolling cache and content.xml. 4) Checked MS Store Library for updates. 5) Checked for Windows [10] updates. I have used Proc Mon for many decades to help resolve issues in Windows systems. I am currently working on a problem with TDS and PMS apps that seem to work perfectly but the screens on the instrument panels stay black. Dev Mode Simconnect monitor shows things working properly but still a black screen. SO ...
