Hi all I've recently been flying into NZQN in msfs and I have just have a question about the weather. I can never seem to get a METAR for queenstown and every time I arrive the weather is clear however when I look up the live weather on google, its raining. How does MSFS get the live weather? Does it use the METAR for weather depiction? Regards Ash

Ok I take off in the Longitude and before NAV mode will engage I have to be flying the intercept course to the 1st waypoint. My question is how do I find the heading to get me on the intercept course? Thanks for your help guys!

I am very satisfied with the PDMG B737-700, and so decided to buy the B737-800 from the MSFS Simmarket. The result is that nothing at the cockpit works, all dark, no animations at all, the yoke is twisted, no instruments and no response to mouse clicks. Curiously, engines are live, and control surfaces work, although no animation is visible. I can taxi and even takeoff.- I uninstalled and reinstalled it but no way.- I sent a ticket to Zendesk and they answered that is is not a MSFS issue and that I should get PMDG support. I guess that is wrong, and it is a problem related with incompatibilities derivated from the Asobo encription system. I had problems in the past with …

All of the sudden within the Fenix virtual cockpit view, I am getting the external compass, engine/airspeed info, and flap and trim info. It is as though MSFS thinks i am in external view. I can't seem to find where to get rid of that. Any ideas? Not sure why this happened and it has never done this before. In the assistance menu, it says Volocopter at the top and I can't change it. Maybe that has something to do with it?

Just wondering who else starts a flight, like say in Alaska, and realizes there are 101 addons enabled.

Today I spent just over an hour sitting at a café at a small UK airfield (Blackbushe EGLK). The aircraft departure rate was about one aircraft every 5 to 10 mins. How can I replicate this in MSFS, I have traffic set to AI Offline and AI Traffic Density to 100. Using the same airfield in MSFS I'm getting 4 GA aircraft parked with nothing taking off. I also use FSLTL, and when setup to use this software I get nothing at EGLK, not one aeroplane. EGLK is just an example, I get this problem at many GA airfields in the UK. Glen

I have PILOT2ATC, which is great, but I was wondering if there was a smaller footprint ATC add-on that would be able to run on my flight sim PC without a lot of overhead, so I don’t have to run on a network machine. Thanks!

I am trying to understand why I am suddenly getting stutters / pausing / freezing when OUTSIDE the aircraft and using the POV button on my (Thrustmaster Boeing edition) joystick. Happens on PMDG but I also just tested on the stock C172. The POV button is set in MSFS controller settings to enable panning the external camera. Lately, the panning skips / stutters / stops moving (freezes momentarily). This hasn't happened before now, and the hardware isn't the issue....It tests fine in the Win11 joystick properties window, and it also works just fine in the oth3r sim. I am now seriously considering FSIPanel to add to my yesterday's PREMIUM DELUXE upgrade 🙂 I have the PMDG 737 and now also the 787 (have to wait for the AA2 final since I am not joining this beta). Did the latest windows 11 update kill MSFS if DX12 is used? 🤔 This may well be a coincidence, but just after doing a windows 11 update, MSFS with DX12 stopped working. I had done a 2 hour flight just before the update and right after the update, MSFS kept crashing shortly after loading the flight. I tried several times with same result, so I switched to DX11 and restarted. MSFS loaded with no issue and after a short flight, everything is still good. I was using the known good Nvidia driver. As I said, this may be a coincidence, but maybe not 🙂

Well, I've been using MSFS for about a week now and am having problems figuring something out. First, I'm running 4k 32" monitor @ 30 hz, 60 locked in NCP. Stock 172, settings medium. 3080ti w/11mb ram. When looking at the task manager, it's bouncing between 90-100%, but GPU temp is only 40c and the power target in PrecisionX is only at 32%; this card is taking a nap. In P3D, if I was at 90-100% GPU usage, I'd be at 60-65c easy. Why the difference? Thanks, Mark

I know that there are myriad similar threads, and I wish one was "stickied" to the top so we could all report any similar issues, clues and updates, but here is my input. I only recently began to have this issue - the last couple of months - and it is completely and utterly random. I can fly for three hours solid, and nothing. A good flight, a satisfying landing, and shut down MSFS properly. Another day, I can be ten minutes into a flight and this problem occurs. None of the monitoring software I run is reporting excessive GPU card temps - 70 degrees tops - and the dev debug tells me that my 3080 is using 5gb out of 9gb of my GPU's memory, and my CPU is using about 4…

Already the second day in a row: Now flying in Alaska with live weather and it is totally clear sky. But satelite shows a lot of cloud coverage, even the metar inside MSFS shows overcast.

Actually I have a Logitech Trackball but it was on low charge which caused the pause. Charged it up and the issue is gone. sp

Hi all Just wanted to check whether there is any update available in Content Manager and realize that I am offline. This is confirmed by the X-Box app on top right corner with Status Offline. Content Manager just shows "0" values and the weel is turning forever... However, I the Marketplace seems to be alive. I am on 1.32.7.0 version and I don't know how to actively connect MSFS to the Internet. The PC is online with a quite fast LAN connection of 1Gbit/s. Just a heads up. New machine, still configuring MSFS. Yesterday, in an effort to see frame rates, a youtuber suggested GeForce Experience. Started it and immediately MSFS Changed. Lost ability to access Preset Manager while modifying a profile, lost progress bar when MSFS starts up. Don't know what else went in the bit bucket. Checked the great world of information (and disinformation) and found something called Game Overlay. Turned it off, rebooted and now everything is back to normal. Jim Driskell Note

Since Nov-22 I have completed 89 flights in MSFS without CTD, however in a recent few days I have experienced 2 CTD in a row with the same pattern. First, there was increasing crackling sound started in my headphones, then (after 10 minutes) a freeze occurred, and finally - CTD. I'm flying exclusively PMDG/Fenix on 3rd party airports only with PSXT/RT/AIG traffic combo. Please don't tell me to turn OFF AI traffic - I've completed almost 90 flights with it without CTD.
