Microsoft Flight Simulator (2020/2024)

Just saw the post on Facebook that KPHL is about to be on SimMarket. Looking at the 25+ photos on the FB page, the airport looks really good. I can't wait to see a comparison between the two Philly Airports.

Are joystick settings stored in a file? If yes where is the configuration file located?

I am experimenting heavy stuttering after SU12. Nothing has change at my graphic settings after its installation. I dont know how to fix it.

I only fly GA in the sim and until recently always with the native live traffic. I never really gave much thought to the missing GA traffic until I stumbled upon a couple of GA traffic mods on .to. Both require that traffic is set to AI offline and both work great in terms of adding GA life to the smaller airports. Arrivals, departures and comms with ATC. Really nice to arrive in a pattern in my Arrow with a Cessna Skyhawk or 152 already there. I have experimented with the traffic density and noticed that if I spawn with AI offline trafffic to ON at say 50% density, then my FPS tanks and never recovers… If I spawn with AI offline traffic set to OFF and then…

Two weeks ago today my three-month-old computer (see specs below) suddenly stopped operating. The machine is currently on its way back to the manufacture, where the warranty will thankfully pay for the repairs (either a new motherboard or new CPU). Anyway, I just want to say that I’ve really missed the sim, and I miss interacting with you guys about the latest beta releases and other sim gossip. I’m posting this message with a phone whose screen I can hardly read. @Krakin has taken over posting the weekly Asobo updates in case you are wondering why they suddenly look much better. Hopefully I’ll be back in action here with MSFS within a week or two and get caught…

Been on a 7 hour long haul, coming up for the arrival. Seems like TIR is no longer reading head movements in the sim (although it is tracking head movements in the app calibration/settings). Is there any way to get it to reconnect the sim without shutting down the session? I have closed and restarted TIR. Same issue

Hi all- Before I think about adding outside scenery, I was thinking about how MSFS handles this. Does aftermarket scenery load over the top of an existing MSFS scenery without any artifacts? This was a problem in P3D with a few sceneries not liking this particularly with Orbx airports. Thanks, Mark

In the landing activities for ChristChurch, NZ using an A310, for some unknown reason the power on the A310 goes to full power in the middle of the approach, it no longer responds to throttle controls, and goes out of control and crashese.

In the last few flights I am unable to hear ny callouts on Approach and the whooper when changing trim is inaudible. I hear engine sounds, cabin sounds (switches) and sounds from scenery. I've looked all ovr flight deck to see if there is some way they could be disabled Any ideas?

I know this has been gone through before but can VFR flights be created in Simbrief? Kev

I remember the old good CFS2 - FS2004 days... there were a bunch of good Japanese modelers who created aircraft, cockpit, liveries of their amazing WW2 airplanes. I remember some Japanese web sites where one could download good freeware stuff... I wonder if there are any at present time, in the era of the wonderful FS2020... Does anybody knows of Japanese developers and aicraft? Beside the poor quality Zero, I can't find anything... it's a pity, Japanese Warbirds are nice and interesting...

The jump into the game after I hit the FLY button becomes longer and longer. Even with a default aircraft and airport. About 4 minutes. I have reasons to suspect my 4G connection but not entirely sure it is the only cause. Before I change my ISP (thinking of Starlink) I am interested to know whether this is after all normal or if, you folks, have better latency . PS I don't use the cache as I rarely fly twice in a row in the same area.

Product is released. That's the good news. The bad news is I can't install it. It's in the universal installer but it won't install and won't activate the product. I wonder how this works.

Hey guys, I've been eyeballing the MD for a while now but the high price tag has kept me away. I loved it back in the FSX days! But I've also noticed I never see anyone online flying it and I haven't seen any topics about it in a while. Is it worth getting? Are there any major issues (other than sounds)? Pretty much just looking for some feedback on it to help make a decision if it's truly worth it or not.

Is there anywhere a collection of liveries of former airlines and aircraft? I notice that at VATSIM Pilots fly old airliners or aircraft that are no longer in one airliners fleet. Therefore I would like to see these aircraft insteadt of the standard msfs aircraft. Is there a collection somewhere of those?

To anyone who has this add-on, how is it? I'm looking for something that changes the foliage from KMSP to KMIA. I read that the southern and northern hemisphere are covered but wondering is the in country foliage transition covered as you fly. Thanks in advance for the feedback.

Am debating getting the 737, I really like the A 320 now, and wondering if users of both aircraft have a preference as to which they like to fly the most.

From inside my running copy of MSFS2020, the Marketplace shows I own Premium Deluxe upgrade. However if I go to the Microsoft Store and sign in it doesn't show I own either the Standard or the Premium Deluxe version. It just shows "Buy..." I am trying to install MSFS2020 on a new PC I just built and assumed the MS Store would just reinstall to a new location but I guess not. So, how do you get MS to install the sim without buying it again? I'm not trying to get 2 copies, I will uninstall from the old PC when the new install is up and running. Thanks
