Microsoft Flight Simulator (2020/2024)

I have purchased and installed thr King Air by Black Square. I have watched many videos pertaining to cold and dark starting. I am following the included checklist, but no matter what I cannot get this aircraft started. I turn on the starter, watch the turbine rpm gauge and move to low idle. This is where I have my issues. The IT temp gauge remains at zero, from what I’ve seen this should spike then settle and the turbine rpm should increase but it never goes beyond 20 and the engine shuts down. can anyone see what I am doing wrong here? I have uninstalled and reinstalled just in case but as of yet I’ve only seen it run in videos.😩 Thanks Phill Da…

Many years ago I used Process Lasso on my FS and P3D simulators. I am thinking on using Lasso now again on FS2020, but as age will have it, I forgot all about what settings would be the best in combination with flight simulators in general and FS2020 in particular. Can any of you please shed some light on this for me and kindly inform me which settings would be best for my 12 Core Intel Core i7-12700F processor? Any help would greatly be appreciated. I found a good profile for the bravo throttle quadrant but I am not sure on the Alpha yoke. Can someone recommend one that is fully mapped for the Alpha and PMDG 737?

I often fly at past dates to re-fly my real travels - or to prepare for upcoming (in that case I just go 1 year back). In P3D I used Active Sky to mimic the real weather of that particular day (and, more important, season). But as far as it appears to me, MSFS by default only offers live weather for today, or artificial situations. It could be I miss some function in MSFS - in that case please help me. But it could be some add-on needs to be used - in that case please give me your experience. Thanks in advance, in either case.

So I recently just got a new monitor that supports HDR and it is fantastic! One thing I did notice is that now when I take screenshots in MSFS all of the photos seem to be extremely over exposed as you can see below. Does anyone know of a work around for this? I would hate to have to turn off HDR just to get screenshots!

Made the move to MSFS a few months ago but before I get into my question, I want to qualify this with the fact that performance-wise and visually this is a great move up from P3D V5. I continue to be, however, a bit disappointed in the surface road traffic and leisure boat traffic. It is very spotty, localized and not very dense. When I takeoff from MIA or TPA in P3D, for example, the bays are full of boats and the streets teaming with cars. At night there are nav lights on boats and at a fairly high altitude on approach, the headlights are streaming underneath on the freeways and highways. Hi, everyone, My cockpit camera views have been misconfigured. I have been able, with a lot of work, to configure most of the controls, but there is an essential one that I am not able to fix. That view is what makes the camera look down and be able to see and activate the pass of fuel. I can't find the command to link the MULTIDIRECTIONAL HAT SWITCH "POINT OF VIEW" (operated with the thumb) with the camera movement I want. My joystick is the Thrustmaster T16000, but I assume it will be similar with other joysticks. About the new game There is something interesting I have seen in the video Maybe is just good timing and well scripted But in the crop scene and in the rich people scene, we have the pilot walking towards the aircraft and the rich persons walking on the red carpet towards the aircraft This could be hint of a 3d person mode/walking mode and a passenger boarding feature a la GSX What do you think?

Flying the stock DC-3 when I noticed the manifold pressure jumping 5" +/-. I set 2050 RPMS and 30" MP for cruise. MP was jumping from 30" to 35". Any ideas? Thanks, Jim Driskell

Hi, can anyone help me with this matter? MSFS was running just fine until I launched it just now. It was running great this morning. Now when I launch it the photo with the airline and Tahiti shows up, but when it does to the next screen it crashes. I have removed everything from the community folder too and its still doing it. Hey all, I'm flying lot of this aircraft at the moment and I'm wondering if I'm doing something wrong. I've read the manual and know the engine limitations, so perhaps this is normal. The engine has a health metric which is a simplified percentage. I presume this is an aggregated average of various engine components (unlike the 310C readout which is more useful imo). For every flight I make of around 40 minutes, the engine health drops by a percentage. So after one hundred flights I presume the engine would be utterly ruined. I'm guessing this isn't normal? Look what I found in my treasure chest : an addon for MSFS 4.0 RESCUE AIR 911 Holy Mallard in the skies, pray for us that we have as much fun as we had then 😄. This was a time, when addons came with books ! And paper maps with ADF, ILS etc.
